Tragedies and Nightmares

Grogar slowly woke up, trying to figure out what happened. He remembered that he confronted Princess Luna, about the Deal. Then she attacked him and sure he dodge the first attacks. But then whether then her get weaker she was stronger and faster as if somepony else was controlling her movements. Grogar now found himself now covered in cuts and bruises, and was now chain to a Sacrificial Altar.

As he looked Princess Luna was still seemly out of like she was in some sort of trance. And what was worst was that the Unseen Evil was now seemly hovering over Luna. It was almost like it was trying to take over her. At first it seem like Luna was arguing with it. Grogar could not figure out what they were arguing about. But what was clear to him was that he had been betrayed. So he laughed manically with little breathe he had, at the fact somepony had actually double crossed him. Grogar had been alive since the very first Dark Alicorns were born. And he had only been betrayed one other time, and that was when his Empire of Tambelon was token from him by his own children and banished it to another Dimension.

Grogar looked around to try to figure out where he was at. The tapestry seemed old, but they looked like they were clearly from another place. The Room was circular and had an opening in the roof, that seem to pointed toward the sky where the Sun would be at noon. Grogar looked around the walls. As it seemed to be covered in pictures of Ancient History. He knew it was Ancient History, because he was there for a lot of those events. Watching the events pass by, or secretly getting involved. The next thing that Grogar noticed were the strange incantation for a spell written on the walls over the pictures.

Princess Luna soon awoke from her trance, in still a bit of a daze. As she tried to get up. Luna looked around and saw Grogar chained to a Sacrificial Altar. Luna slowly got up, and walked over to him. Wondering why was he chain there. Luna stepped closer to him. Luna began to speak, "Grogar... what is going on here? Why is thou chained?" Luna said, while barely able to talk. Luna did not know what was wrong with her, she barely had control of her body, as it move toward the center where the Sacrificial Altar was at.

"Luna isn't this what you wanted," said the Voice that was now speaking to Princess Luna while she was awake.

"What?" Luna stated in confusion,

"What's wrong Luna, are you going to take revenge, or not," said the Voice, with eager anticipation,

"What do you mean-" Luna replied,

"She means for you to kill me," Grogar said, as he interrupted Luna,

"Yes Luna kill him and we can use his his life force to resurrect your beloved husband," said the Voice,

Princess Luna then forced herself to stop. As she pondered whether she should. Luna loved her husband greatly, but he was still a tyrant, and bringing him back would not change that. And another reason whether it would it be right. If Luna agreed to this, even though Grogar was evil, it would still be cold blooded murder. Sure Luna had kill before, in battles, in wars, but never for revenge. Luna did not know what to do.

Princess Luna pondered, and pondered, meanwhile the Voice whispering in her head every second. She would love to see her husband back. If not just to be loved again, but to have somepony to talk to who always understood Luna and her nights. That way she would no long be alone. Finally a few mins before noon was soon to arrive, Luna had made up her mind. Or more or less, the Voice "helped" her make up her mind.

Princess Luna stepped forward once again and made her way to the center. Once there Luna grabbed the knife that she had been fighting with. And prepared to commit murder. "Luna you have to realize that the voice is using you, she is lying to you," Grogar pleaded.

"Why should we believe you, you deceived our husband for years and then you drove him mad, you took the only pony who understood me and loved me, the only one who even care for me," Luna spoke back, with tears starting to form on her face.

"You can't really think that, I mean, I am certain there other ponies who care about you," Grogar pleaded again,

"No there was nopony else," Luna stated,

"She is filling your head with lies, there had to somepony else," Grogar pleaded even more,

"THERE WAS NOPONY AT ALL, YOU DON'T WHAT FEEL TO BE IGNORE BY SO MANY, our own parents even ignored us, they all idolize our sister, thought she was the best thing to happen to this kingdom," Luna shouted with face now covered in tears,

"You being lied to Queen Luna," Grogar pleaded once more for her to listen,

"We will not be ignored any more, we shall resurrect him, and WE WILL NO LONG BE ALONE!!!!!!" Luna was now yelling even loud, as lifted the knife,

"YOU FOOLISH MARE, she is lying to you, I done many resurrection spells in my time, so I know a resurrection spell when I see it and this is not a resurrection spell," Grogar pleaded one final time,

"Of course thou would lie, legend said that thou have lied and deceived for many millenniums, but no more thou ancient life end NOW!!!!" Luna shouted as she impaled the knife into Grogar's chest, killing him.

Princess Celestia follow the trail of blood till she reached the Castle of the Two Sisters. She followed the trail inside till she reach the main hall. Celestia was worried about her sister. All Celestia knew was that something bad had happen. And all her fear were coming true as saw she Princess Luna walk into the main hall, her hooves covered in blood. But it was not Luna's blood it was somepony else.

Celestia pleaded with her sister, "Luna, please tell me who's blood is that?..... Please tell me you didn't kill somepony,". No answer, so Celestia tried pleading again. But this time it was met with maniacal laughter, as Luna laugh even louder and louder till the whole hall filled with the echoes.

"Poor, Poor, Celestia still so worried for your sister," Luna spoke, but seemingly in a different tone, as if somepony else was talking for her,

"Luna what's wrong with you, you are not sounding right," Celestia said in a worried tone

"Oh dear nothing sister, we just finally tired of being in somepony else shadow, feared by all and not loved," Luna said in hiss,

"Luna that's not true, there were many that love you, your mentor King Morpheus of the Changelings thought of you as like a daughter, Snowdrop thought of you as like a second mother, and your Husband loved you enough to sacrifice so much to bring you back from the dead when you were killed, don't you see Luna there many that loved-" Celestia pleaded with sister, before getting interrupted by Luna,

"AND WHAT HAPPEN TO THEM?!?!?!?!" Luna was now yelling,

Princess Celestia just frozen at the fact she could not answer without making things worst, but then Luna did continue anyway. "King Morpheus was banished by our father and uncle, because what his sister did, and when I pleaded with them, they ignored me,"

"When Snowdrop dying of sickness, I pleaded with you to let me healer her, and you told me no, because you believed it was her time,"

"And let us not forget my husband, who loved me enough to commit the most evil taboos just to save my life, and for that we had to kill him,"

Princess Celestia just stood there hearing those words knowing to be true every single one. "But Luna there was nothing that could be done to stop those events,"

"You could have tried, but no, it look like you're not worthy to rule, it seem there is room for one ruler in Equestria...AND IT SHALL BE ME!!!!" Luna stated as she stomped on the stairway causing it to break. The massive crack went up the wall and tore a hole in the roof. As noon had finally arrived.

Back at the Sacrificial Altar. The Sunlight enter through the roof and shined upon Grogar's bloody body, as the true purpose of the spell was realized. Princess Luna then lifted the Moon over the Sun into an Eclipse, as the spell was now activated, transferring Grogar's power up to the Moon and then down to Luna. Transforming her complete as the unseen ally took a fiscal gas like form and wrapped around Luna turning her coat black, as light blue armor appeared on her, her eyes became slits and she increased in height to match Princess Celestia. And with that Luna was gone. Luna's body was now under the complete control of the evil force.

And then, all the openings to the room closed shut. Sealing away Grogar's body for should he ever come back from the dead. He would be trapped in there. Until somepony let him out, which was unlikely since only a few that knew of the room's existence. Since it was there before the Castle of Two Sisters even was built.

"Luna?" Celestia spoke in horror as she witnessed the Transformation.

But with a great boastfulness in her voice the evil proclaimed, "Luna is gone, I am Nightmare Moon, Queen of Nightmares,"

"Luna, What is the meaning of this?" Celestia said,

"Fine then 'Sister' if you must know, I am going to kill you, and then I will rule over all as Queen," Nightmare Moon threaten.

"Luna you can't mean this," Celestia said in confusion, as she began to tremble.

"But I do Celestia," Nightmare Moon proclaim as she launched a fury of magical blasts, at Princess Celestia. Celestia dodge them and took to the Sky as the daylight began to vanish. Celestia looked in horror as she flew as darkness slowly swept over the land like a blanket. Nightmare Moon flew after Celestia while continued the fury of magical blasts as Celestia tried her best to dodge.

"Luna stop this now, can't you see what your doing to the land," Celestia said, as she continued to dodge,

Princess Celestia kept dodging the attacks as they flew threw the sky. Celestia wanted this evil to end, but she did not want it costing her sister's life. Celestia was trying to think of a way to stop Nightmare Moon without killing her sister. But she could not think of one, at all. But then what Celestia should have been doing, was paying attention to the battle. As Nightmare Moon teleported in front of Celestia and blasted with a direct attack. Celestia could only counter it with her own magical blast. Both magical blasts hit head on clashing in a magical shock wave. The magical shock wave shot out launching with enough force, that it actually knock both Alicorn.

And when the dust settled, and all could be seen. Nightmare Moon was the only one left in the sky. As for Celestia, the magical shock wave had sent her crashing back into the Castle of the Two Sisters, in the room, where the Elements of Harmony were being held. They had been there since the defeat of Discord. And it seem now they were needed, again.

"Soon Celestia you will die and once the spell is complete, everypony in Equestria shall fall into an eternal sleep that will last forever, and with them all asleep they will suffer an eternity of Nightmares, and with each nightmare I shall grow stronger and stronger till my power rivals that of the great titans of old," Nightmare Moon said, as she got ready to send one final attack.

As Princess Celestia got up and realize what room she was in. Celestia looked back up to her sister, pleading one final last time with tears forming, "Luna please fight it, please don't make me do this, I was already forced to use it on my beloved Discord, please don't make me use it on my own beloved sister,"

Nightmare Moon simply replied back with a psychotic laugh, and then said, "Celestia I do not fear you, I know you wouldn't dare use the Elements of Harmony on your own sister,"

Nightmare Moon then flew forward ready to kill Princess Celestia. Tears were now over flowing in Celestia's eyes. "Luna please,"

"I told you she is gone,"

"Luna please,"

"Luna won't hear you,"

"Forgive me"

And with that Princess Celestia unleashed the power of the Elements of Harmony. Which then shot a massive rainbow blast, launching Nightmare Moon up into space and imprisoning her with in the Moon.
