Tragedies and Nightmares

Princess Celestia made her way back to Canterlot. Still covered in tears and not quite ready to tell the citizens what happen. When Celestia arrived she went to her room, and stayed in there for three days. As the ponies try to coup with no rulers. For Celestia was not want to rule without Luna by her side. It wasn't until a letter arrived from an unknown address, for Princess Celestia. She read the letter and the went back to her duties. But she never told anypony who the letter was from. But did not matter to them for they were simply glad to have a ruler again.

What Princess Celestia definitely did not tell is, that she now had a plan to save her sister from Nightmare Moon. But it would take time, and with her immortally she was willing to wait. Especially since she was all ready waiting for Discord's eventual return and it look like she would have to waiting for time when the Dragon Egg to be hatched now. That is what the letter told her that the Dragon Egg that Princess Luna had found during her journey to the West would show Celestia the one that would help her save her sister. It would be a unicorn that could hatch the Dragon Egg, and that Unicorn would go on to lead a group of friends, that would not only wield the Elements of Harmony, to there true potential, but would also save her sister and stop many evils.

Indeed Princess Celestia now had a plan, and all she need to do now was wait until this Unicorn appeared. No matter how long it took whether it would be ten years, a hundred years, or a thousand years. For she knew she could trust the letter. She still would not tell anypony where the letter came from. And truth was it was a matter of faith, and that only time would tell if the letter was telling the truth.

Meanwhile all around Equestia there was uneasiness in the night. Especially in the cold snow of the North, as the Shadows from all across Equestria gathered to quaked in sorrow for lose of the Princess of the Night. They all gathered all the shadows that had watching over Luna. They were always never able to intervene only to watch.

Their Leader mourned for his wife's imprisonment. He was unable to do anything given that he no longer had a physical form. He could not even be seen any more. Or so he thought as it seem that the Nightmare Force was not completely lying to Princess Luna when it said that the spell would bring him back. For what little time that the Nightmare Force was gathering strength. And now with Nightmare Moon imprisoned the dark magic that was harvested from the Nightmares, now had nowhere left to go so the Shadows gathered it up and brought it to their Leader. Now finally with this dark magic for what little there was had the right amount of darkness and fear, that he could use it to slowly pull himself back to the physical plane.

As the Shadows gathered the dark magic to the of humongous circle that had laid by their own shapes. And as the Incantation being shaped by the Shadows, the Spell was being chanted.

As a great blizzard began to form as their Leader took physical form once again. His massive Dark Alicorn wings form first, like huge shadows they blanketed the area. Then his body formed still wearing the Armor he had on when he died, and his bloody red royal cape formed which then pulled in his wings so they would always stay hidden. So nopony would think he was a Dark Alicorn, only that he was a tall dark gray Unicorn with a flowing black mane. And finally his face took form with green and red eyes, and a red curved horn. And with that he was now back, Princess Luna's first love, and beloved husband was now back. The King of Shadows was slowly returning and now all he need to do was wait for his Queen of the Night to return as well.

As he looked up at the Moon, he let out a painful wale filled with all the sorrow of losing his beloved, unable stop the Nightmare force from taking her, and unable to stop his mentor and master, Grogar from giving the Nightmare force enough strength to take over his beloved's body. He continued his wales of sorrow for three days.

And meanwhile back in the Everfree forest it seem that the King of Shadows was not the only one who did not want to stay dead. As back in the seal room, the Body of Grogar laid on the Sacrificial Altar, seemly still dead to all that would look upon him. But of course he had survived many death and this one would be no different for with time even Grogar would soon be back from the Dead. As shown by a small twitch from Grogar's bell.
