"HYAAAGH!!" Valiant charged head on as the girls scattered in all directions. Twilight and Rainbow Dash were the first to begin the counterattack as they tried to nail him from both sides but his response was what could only be described as phenomenal. Both of their strikes were blocked with one blade and all the while Valiant kept his eyes closed.

"Wow he's good." Twilight said as she and Rainbow continued to hover in the air.

"Yeah? Well I'm BETTER!!"

"Rainbow Dash wait!!"

Like always, Rainbow Dash charged head into danger without thinking. Valiant stood like a statue as she drew closer but upon opening his eyes, Rainbow instantly froze up; It was like staring into the eyes of a bloodthirsty beast.

"RAINBOW LOOK OUT!!" Twilight quickly intercepted a sword swing as the sparks began to fly. Rainbow Dash was shoved back to safety while Twilight held him back.

"Not bad Twilight! But you're gonna have to do more than defend!!"

"Oh don't worry I will-NOW APPLEJACK!!"

The moment Valiant turned, his face met a metal clad fist that sent him flying into a tree. Applejack stood next to Twilight with a satisfied grin as she began cracking her knuckles.

"That's for hurting Big Mac and making Applebloom cry!"

"Ohh...guess I had that coming." Valiant grumbled to himself as he began to recover before noticing the farm mare coming at him with a left hook. At the very last second, Valiant was only grazed by Applejacks attack while the tree that was behind him was split in half.

"W-WHAT THE HAY JUST HAPPENED?!?" Applejack stared in shock when she realized that punch could've killed him.

"Surprised? All of these weapons and armor came from the royal forge in Canterlot. Each infused with certain magical properties. In your case Applejack that would be increased strength."

"Whoa nelly...." Applejack stared at her gauntlets with amazement but at the same time fear until Valiant began his counterattack, nearly catching her off guard. She used both arms as a shield to hold off his first attack but left herself wide open for the second until Rarity stepped in, forcing him back once more.

"En Garde!" The unicorn mare held a military rapier and began to force Valiant back inch by inch before locking blades with her opponent.

"I see you know a bit of swordsmanship."

"I took fencing classes as a filly." Rarity explained before going on the attack again. Using quick thrusts and precise slashes, Rarity was able to keep Valiant on the defensive while keeping a focused gaze on her target and for a moment it seemed like she had the upper hand until Valiant surprised her with an arm throw that flung her into the ground before Applejack went in for another round.

"Your hesitating Applejack! Care to tell me why?" Valiant had noticed a change in her attack strength and patterns before easily pushing her back.

"I see. You don't like the idea of killing."

"No..I don't." She answered honestly while keeping her guard up.

"Too bad." His voice suddenly turned dark and cold as he prepared for another attack.

"CAUSE THE ENEMY WON'T FEEL THE SAME!! HAAA!!" Applejack suddenly froze in terror as he charged her. Valiant did not act like a soldier in battle; More like a predator going in for the kill. As she stood there helpless, Twilight formed a barrier around Applejack before striking Valiant from above with a double heeled kick that knocked the wind out of him.

"PINKIE!! NOW!!" Twilight shouted as Valiant turned around to see Pinkie holding a massive warhammer above her head.

"SWEET CELESTIA!!"

"IT'S HAMMER TIME!!" The pink mare shouted while giving a maniacal laugh as the hammer came crashing down.

"WHOA WHOA WHOA!!!"

WHAM!!!

Valiant had managed to dodge the blow by the skin of his teeth as he became blinded by a cloud of dirt. Knowing he was at a disadvantage, he took a defensive stance while listening out for the first attack yet all he could make out was a faint whisper coming from Twilight before the sound of a pegasus zooming by surprised him.

"YAAAHH!!" Rainbow attacked once more, now recovered from her earlier experience and had begun assaulting him with her own pair of twin shortswords yet her style was unrefined and had no technique making them easy to block.

"Don't put so much power into one attack. Try to work your way around your opponent then look for an opening." He lectured her as her attacks grew more furious.

"You're letting your temper get the better of you!"

"STOP TALKING!!!" Rainbow went in for a downward stroke, using both blades but the attack was easily evaded and she was knocked out once Valiant struck her with the pommel of his blade.

"RAINBOW!!" The girls shouted in unison as their friend fell to the ground. Twilight was the most furious as her magic aura began to appear like a fire slowly rising.

"T-Twilight?" Fluttershy called out to her friend, feeling frightened as the aura began to intensify.

"You're angry, good. Now....ATTACK ME!!"

"HAAAA!!!" Somehow Twilights blade began absorbing her magic, making it more powerful than before. Each strike burst forth with magic energy as Valiant began defending while observing Twilights style. It seemed like she knew some standard attacks for a swordsman which she probably learned from Flash and her brother.

"Are you gals seeing this?" Applejack asked, amazed by her friends sudden rise in skill and power but the others just stood there staring in shock before realizing Rainbow was too close to the fighting.

"YAAAH!!!"

"HM!!" Valiant kept up his defenses while still observing Twilights power until the two finally came to a standstill. Despite the onslaught she unleashed, Twilight still had much strength left in her and the sword she carried now surged with her own magic.

"I'm ending this NOW!!" Twilight charge at him with her sword raised high while he prepared his swords to block the attack.

"Now we shall see your true power." Those were Valiants thoughts as Twilight gave a mighty shout, bringing her sword down with great force. Her swing shattered Valiants blades as if they were made of glass but in her rage the princess had done something that shocked her to the core.

"GAAAAHHHHH!!!!" Valiant had received a deep gash in his shoulder and was sent flying back from the impact. A small portion of his blood splattered on the princesses face when she had realized what she'd done. She was starting to feel sick.

"V-Valiant....what did I...." Twilight dropped her sword when she saw the body.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"
