School Days: Anthology
It's a Big Deal, eh.
Previous ChapterNext ChapterSitting next to Matthew Alexandrov was not a big deal.
At least, that's what Katrina Zeng kept telling herself. She knew her crush on the uncompromising, intimidating badass was the worst-kept secret in Hassian, but still, it wasn't a big deal.
It wasn't a big deal that she could see how coordinated Matthew and Patricia have become when it came to taking care of enemy parties within the school halls and yard. Without even uttering a single word, Matt knew where Pat was on the field of battle and when to support her, just as Pat knew where he was and supported him whenever he needed aid.
Katrina, or Kat as she's referred by Matthew, despite her reputation as a slightly violent girl she wasn’t much of a good fighter due to her small size, but instead supports her crush from the sidelines. The young lady has recently joined a martial arts class for judo, so, maybe one day she’ll be able to support Matt in the battlegrounds.
It wasn't a big deal that he and Pat usually talked in whispers, and had conversations that she could only wish to hear. It was quite obvious that whatever they said to each other, they liked what the other said.
It wasn't a big deal that, even with their constant bickering, teasing and name-calling, it was obvious that there was a deep level between Matt and Pat that she could never comprehend.
She also noticed that unlike most of the boys in class he doesn't stare at Aoi Tanaka as she attempts to teach the class of delinquents, most of every guy within the room would let their eyes roam all over her, but not for long so that they would not get caught by the disciplinary woman. It was quite obvious Aoi could feel their eyes roam over her, and isn't comfortable of being checked out by the students. Alexer on the other hand, oddly enough doesn't seem to mind others staring at his girlfriend... But It wasn't a big deal that she could see how her savior would sometimes let his eyes drift, and set on the conspiring brunet-haired girl in front of him.
It wasn't a big deal that she could sometimes see Pat steal a glance at her attack dog every now and then.
Sitting next to Matthew Alexandrov wasn't a big deal at all. Not at all.
Not at all.
It could be worse, she could instead be sitting next to Caleb or Kelly… or god forbid if she were to sit next to Ian... At least she has a good view of her crush to keep her from getting bored whenever class gets dull. If only she could have a conversation with him that doesn't turn awkward for her.
It's a pretty fucking big deal for her, so that one day she'll be able to have a normal conversation with him without Angry Pat nearby.
