Chapter 3: The Conversation

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

The next day, everyone woke up going on deck meeting up with Twilight and Sandy. Ever since their ghost changeling experience, they were still shocked of what Angel did to save their souls. Even Trixie was shocked of what she and the others saw. They were on deck minding their own business.

"I almost forgot." Patrick said.

Lloyd turned to Patrick. "What?"

Patrick brought out a box and opens it. "I brought cinnamon rolls" He takes one out of the box. "One for me." He walks to Rainbow. "One for Rainbow." Rainbow takes one and thanks Patrick. Patrick walks to Lloyd. "One for Lloyd." Lloyd takes one as Patrick walks to Dipper and Mabel. "One for you two." Dipper and Mabel take one for them each. Patrick walks to Squidward. "One for Squidward." Squidward takes a cinnamon roll. "Thanks." Patrick walks to Twilight. "One for the captain." Twilight takes a roll and takes a bite of it. Patrick walks up to Spongebob. "One for Spongebob." Spongebob takes one. "Thanks, Patrick." Patrick walks to Rigby, who was reading his book. "One for Rigby." Rigby turned and saw Patrick holding the box. He takes one of the rolls. "Thanks. I needed something to eat anyway." Patrick walks to Sandy. "One for Sandy." Sandy smiled and takes a roll. Patrick walks to Anais. "One for Anais." Anais takes a roll. "Thank you, Patrick. You're not so bad after all." Patrick walks to Angel and gave the last roll to Angel. "And one for Angel." Patrick turned to Trixie. "Sorry, Trixie. I only brought twelve."

"It's okay." Trixie added. "I wasn't hungry anyway."

Dipper looked at Trixie with a sad face and walked up to her.

Trixie turned and saw Dipper offering his roll.

"You can have mine." Dipper said.

"I can't." Trixie replied.

Dipper placed it in front of Trixie. "I insist."

Trixie took the roll and took a bite.

Dipper walked back to Mabel.

"Dipper, that was for you." Patrick said.

"That's what generosity's all about." Dipper added as he got out a journal. He wrote 'Day 2: It was a total shocker seeing Angel defeat that ghost ship last night. But today, Patrick gave everyone cinnamon rolls except Trixie, so I gave her mine. I didn't want to be a total jerk by NOT giving her my roll. That's what generosity's all about, giving something you love to someone else. I guess. I'm just trying to be a nice guy, though.'. He closed his journal and sighed.

"So, what now?" Rainbow asked. "I mean, how long will we be at that treasure island?"

"Soon." Twilight answered. "We'll be there sooner or later."

"Maybe we'll be away from Midava for a while." Anais guessed.

"Yeah." Squidward replied. "But we have to be patient. We might be gone for days, weeks, or-"

"Wait," Trixie interrupted. "What do you think you're doing?"

"Trixie, Squidward's only trying to help." Lloyd said.

"Well, he's not helping." Trixie added.

"I'm right here, you know." Squidward said in a stern tone. "Can't you just give me a chance for once?"

"Why should I?" Trixie asked in an annoyed tone. "You're the only one wearing that lame coat."

The rest gasped of what Trixie said.

"Uh oh." Anais added.

"Uh oh, indeed." Rainbow replied.

Squidward's wore an annoyed and angry face. "Take. That. Back."

"I can't." Trixie replied. "And I wouldn't."

"This coat was given from my father." Squidward said sternly. "It is a symbol for good luck, loyalty, and peace."

"You don't scare me." Trixie added. "Neither do your threats. Even though we've been here yesterday, I still don't trust you."

"Mabel was right about you." Squidward shot back. "Why can't you be more like Dipper?"

Trixie turned to Lloyd. "Your friend here is being rude."

Twilight got up. "Let's just drop it for now."

Rainbow wore a confused face.

"It means to calm down." Anais explained.

"Why don't I just walk the plank and leave you alone?" Squidward asked.

"You're not leaving this ship." Sandy said. "Not until we go home."

"Sandy's right." Rigby added. "We're not done with our voyage."

Trixie scoffed. "Let him leave if he wants to."

Squidward was about to jump off the ship, but Twilight stopped him by teleporting in his way.

"You're not going anywhere." Twilight added.

Trixie wore a shocked face and shook her head. "Captain-"

"We're on the same team now." Twilight interrupted. "Squidward is staying, no matter what."

Trixie crossed her arms in an unamused way.

"You have to embrace it, Trixie." Lloyd told Trixie.

"You have to embrace it, Trixie." Trixie mocked.

"I heard that." Lloyd said.

Rainbow turned and saw Twilight walking into her room. She followed her and found her looking at a picture with her and a white unicorn with a pink mane and teal eyes next to her. She walked up to Twilight. "Twilight, you okay?"

Twilight turned and saw Rainbow. "Well, it's not that important to talk about."

"Twilight, you can tell me anything." Rainbow said.

Twilight sighed. "When I was a filly, I had this friend of mine that was honest, brave, stood up for others, and strong. Her name was Applejack. She fought many creatures and protected her loved ones. But when we grew up, a tragedy struck. After I got this ship, I went on my first voyage with Applejack by my side. We found this island. It was dark, cold, and a bit scary. We weren't afraid of anything that comes out of the dark, even if it was dangerous. I had a bunch of scars, I was very exhausted, and my hooves were in pain. But I ignored it. But for Applejack, she was tough as a rock. But then, we stumbled upon a dark cave wondering what was inside. What we saw was glowing red eyes staring back at us. Little did we know, it was something called a Timberwolf. A wolf made of nothing but wood. We escaped, luckily. But what I saw scarred me a lot. But Applejack told me to imagine that never happened. But then Applejack and I made some new friends when we went from one place to another. But one day, Applejack retired from the crew and got a job as a bartender at Ponyville. I was going to miss her so much, and I was sad that Applejack was leaving the crew. And that was the last time I saw her."

"Wow." Rainbow said. "I'm so sorry. I never knew much about you until now."

"I know." Twilight replied. "But I get to write letters to her."

Outside Twilight's room, Rigby was reading his book. (Obviously studying) Lloyd was curious about what Rigby was reading, so he walked up to him and sat next to him.

"So, Rigby, what are you studying for that test of yours?" Lloyd asked.

"A history test." Rigby answered. "I'm just studying because I seriously need to graduate from college."

"So, about what Mabel said," Lloyd said. "Who's Moondancer?"

"She's a friend of me and my friend, Mordecai." Rigby explained. "She has been our friend when we were in high school. Everyone in all of our classes called her the 'Class Nerd'. But she didn't care about that. And today, she and Mordecai graduated last year, and it is my last year of college. And if I don't study for the test, I won't be able to graduate."

Lloyd patted Rigby's back. "Just take it easy there, Rigby. And good luck on that test. I bet your friend is praying."

'That's what they all say.' Rigby thought.

Hours passed, and there was no sign of land anywhere. Anais was next to Angel having a conversation with him. (Even though both of them are bunnies and Angel can't talk)

"How long are we going to be on this ship?" Anais asked.

Angel shrugged.

Anais sighed. "This might look like child labor, but I have to do this for my family. My mom works for hours to get some money, but the amount is not enough. And that's why I'm here on this ship. To support my family."

Angel patted Anais in assurance.

Anais picked up Angel and hugged him. "Thanks for helping me with my struggles, Angel."

Angel smiled and hugged her back.
