Twilight and I

This is basically a very short intro to the story.

"Hey get back here!!!" Shouted a voice out of no where. I looked to see that it was my friend, Darren.

"Oh hey Darren, whats up?"

"You forgot your bag"

I just looked at him and face palmed.

"Thanks man. I would forget my head if it wasn't screwed on right!"

He laughed and patted me on the shoulder.

"True. Very true. Anyways dude I got to get to class. See you later!"

"Bye mate!"

I waved as he ran down the corridor to his lesson.

"I hate my life." I whispered to my self. I forgot to say, my names Alex. I am 19 years old, I go to college and I am a nobody. I only have a few friends, namely Darren. My parents died in a car crash when I was only 12 years old. My grandparents looked after me and still do but they never understood me since I was considered "weird" to them. They found out that I like to watch My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic and they said "Why do you watch a little girls show?" I always told them the same thing.

"It makes me feel happy and wanted." When I said this, they just shrugged and started reading their old fashioned news papers like they always do.

It was pretty much a normal day. I got up, had some breakfast, went to college and that was basically my daily routine. But something felt weird today. Earlier when I woke up, I saw a bright light from outside. Now I know people would say "oh it'll have been the sun" or "It'll have been the light reflecting off of something". But I could tell that it wasn't any of these because it happened in the morning when the sun was down and there was nothing there for the light to reflect off.

My grandparents have also gone away for a month leaving me by myself for the time being so this didn't make things any better. Hopefully whatever that bright light was won't happen again.
