Twilight and I

The next morning I woke up to what seemed to be Twilight reading to herself. This didn't surprise me as she loves books in the cartoon. She noticed after about a minute I woke up and that I was looking at her.

"Morning Alex! I didn't realise you were awake. Did you have a good nights sleep?"

"Morning to you to Twilight. And not really, you?"

"Oh I couldn't get to sleep so I started reading that book you read to me again. I find it really, really interesting. And why couldn't you get any sleep?" she asked in a concerned tone.

"I just....had a bad dream."

"I didn't realise humans had dreams. So do we."

After hearing her say this I started laughing and smiling at her. She was confused at why I was laughing and smiling.

"Why are you laughing?"

"Because it sounded stupid that you didn't think we had dreams. We have practically the same intelligence and mind as you ponies."

I saw an angry look coming up on her face.

"How did it sound stupid?" She said, now obviously mad with me.

"Oh no I didn't mean it offensive Twi I just mean't it as a joke."

She saw the smile on my face and now her angry look had turned to a big smile as she started laughing.

"My apologies Alex I thought you were calling me stupid for thinking that but I get the humor in it now."

"Its fine. Shall we get up?"

"Yes if you want. Can I ask.....are there any libraries in this world?"

I just smiled at her question. I should have expected this from her seen as she was pretty much a book nerd in the show and she seemed the exact same in reality.

"Of course we do. We have them all over this world. There's a good one down the road from this house actually."

"Oh goodie!"

She was clapping her hooves together in excitement as had a big smile across her cute, little face. Her expression made me smile aswell.

"Could we.....if its not too much trouble...."

I knew what she was going to say so I saved her the trouble and said it myself.

"Your about to say can we go to the library today aren't you?"

"Ermmm.....yes. As I said, if its not too much trouble."

"Its not trouble at all. We will go after breakfast seen as it opens at about 11am and its now 10am."

"Thankyou! I've always loved libraries....but a library in a different world...this will be amazing!!!"

All I heard now was her screams of pure joy as she was literally jumping up and down on top of the bed. I just looked at her and smiled. We went downstairs to get breakfast ready. But what came next really surprised me....

"I will make breakfast Alex."

"Twi, you don't have to. Your my guest and I should...."

"I will not take no for an answer. Now sit down and I will make breakfast for both of us. Rarity taught me a few tricks on how to make a quick, healthy meal."

"Oh well thankyou Twi. Do you need any help?"

She respectively declined.

"No I came into your house uninvited and I need to make my self useful. So please, sit down and thankyou for offering to help but I will be fine."

I couldn't say no to that so I sat down, turned on my laptop and turned on the TV. After about 2 minutes of this I heard a load smash from the kitchen. I rushed in to find Twilight looking shocked and staring at the dinner plate that she obviously had just dropped.

"Oh my gosh...Alex I am so sorry! I didn't mean to drop the plate! I can't use my magic and using my hooves is quite hard so...."

I knew that it must be difficult for her considering she couldn't use her magic and her hooves weren't as "handy" as hands. After laughing at my crude joke inside my mind, I went over to Twilight and patted her on the back.

"Its ok Twi, don't worry. Its not your fault. I know how hard it must be not being able to use your magic and I also know how hard it is for you to use your hooves as they can't grip onto things like human hands can. I'll clean it up and make breakfast. Now go and sit in the living room."

She smiled at me and saw I was smiling as well. She gave me a big hug. I blushed yet again.

"You are such a kind creature. Thankyou. Now I must get you something to repay you for being so kind to me. Maybe I'll get you a book!"

"Its fine Twi, really. Just go and sit down while I make breakfast and read whatever you want to and after we've finished we can go down to the library and I'll get you whatever book..or books you want. You don't have to get me anything, making sure your safe is a good enough present for me."

I could see she was smiling even more now. She even had tears in her eyes. She hugged me as tight as she possibly could which in turn killed my chest but I wasn't complaining. After about a minute she went to sit down while I made breakfast.

I made some bacon, sausage and egg for me and I made a salad sandwich for her with grass in it instead of lettuce. She seemed to like it because as soon as I gave it her she started eating it faster then I do when I'm hungry, which is quite fast.

"Wow Twi. You realy are hungry aren't you?"

She nodded and dived back into eating the sandwich. She didn't seem to care what I was eating. Which was strange as I suspected her to ask what exactly I was eating. I was just staring at her while she eat her sandwich and a weird thought popped into my mind.

"Has she ever had a stallion?"

At first I thought it was a weird thing to think about. But after I thought about it properly, I knew why it randomly popped into my mind. Because she was quite nerdy and loved to read books. Now I'm not saying that people who read books are total nerds as I read them a lot and I'm not a nerd. But Twilight was a bit.....too in love with books. So I asked her the question after she had finished her food.

"So Twi, I was just wondering....have you ever been out with a stallion?"

She looked at me in shock and I could see tears coming to her eyes again.

"No.....No I have not. No one really wants a bookworm like me...."

I could see she was going to start crying again so before she did I quickly went over to her, hugged her and said in a nice, calm tone...

"Twi, you are a beautiful mare what any good, loving stallion should want. So clearly the males from your world don't know when they see a beautiful pony like you."

I could see her tears had gone away a bit and she was staring into my eyes, smiling.

"That really means a lot to me Alex...thankyou. I hope somepony thinks the same about me."

"Oh believe me Twi....they do."

After we had finished talking we headed down to the library. Twilight looked around for about 10 minutes then decided she wanted a book on human history, a book on technology and a book on myths and fiction. It came to around 30 quid which I thought was ridiculous but she wanted them a lot so I finally decided to buy them for her. As soon as we got out, she started jumping around with joy.

"Thankyou thankyou thankyou for buying me these books Alex!!!"

She hugged me once again. But this time it was only a very quick hug. i hugged her back and smiled at her.

"Its my pleasure Twi. I'm glad you could find something that you might think is interesting. And I'm flattered that you want to learn more about my species."

"I find you humans very interesting as your intelligence is the same as ours, but better."

I took it as a compliment, so I blushed.

"Thanks Twi but we aren't that clever. Magic doesn't even exist in this world."

"No it doesn't. But to instead of magic, you have wonderful technology and I only know this because you told me about it."

"Oh yeah. I forgot to mention, did I tell you about mobile phones?"

She looked really confused.

"No you did not. Why, what are they?"

"its a device what lets us humans communicate with each other over long distances. But it needs something called a signal, which is basically a frequency what comes from a satellite."

"That sounds.....amazing."

"it is. Well...for us it is."

"You humans are very clever."

"Thankyou. So are you ponies."

She smiled and blushed.

After that, we went home. Luckily, Twilight was able to get into disguise as a big, cloaked guy wearing a hat. I helped her with it as I didn't want her to be seen outside or in the library as a pony seen as people would maybe call the police or something. As soon as we got back home, Twilight asked me a question what i expected since we went outside.

"Why did I have to dress up as one of you humans?"

"Well Twi...I don't think....any of the humans outside would understand....what you are."

She looked at me puzzled, but she let the thought go. She got her new books out of the bag and started reading while I prepared tea. I had got some hay from the stables down the road as I knew ponies liked hay so I suspected Twilight would like it. While tea was cooking, Twilight walked in with a bright red face.

"Whats up Twi?"

She arched her head up towards me and looked into my eyes.

"Alex....what do you think of me?? Because recently I've been a bit depressed and I've been thinking that nearly everypony thinks I'm a nerd for reading so many books."

"I think your a brilliant pony who is very intelligent, funny and not bad looking....for a pony."

She smiled and wrapped her arms....well....hooves around me.

"That is the sweetest thing anypony has ever said about me. I cannot thankyou enough."

I just looked at her and smiled.

"Its my pleasure Twi. And I also have a secret that I want to tell you, but not yet."

"A secret?? Tell me please."

She was staring at me with puupy dog like eyes. I knew she was obviously trying to make me tell her the secret so I just raised an eyebrow at her.

"Twi, you can stop with the cute looking expression. I know your trying to get me to tell you the secret but you'll just have to wait. I'll tell you later. I promise."

She just smiled at me and trotted back into the room. I wanted to tell her now, but I just froze and thought I can't tell her just yet. Besides, it couldn't do any harm to wait. When tea was finished, I brought it in and to my suprise she started shoving the hay down her mouth. I guessed she was starving.

"Hungry Twi?" I said with a stupid looking grin.

"Yes. I am quite famished."

We dug into our tea and when we had finished, I took the plates in, cleaned up and came back into the living room.  I came out with a random comment to comfort her a bit considering she was still scared of this world.

"I just wanted to say Twi that I will protect you no matter what while you are stuck here with me."

"Thankyou....that really does mean alot considering everything around here is so....alien. I don't fully understand this world yet."

"I don't expect you to understand this world at all Twi. Sometimes I don't even understand it."

I looked at her and saw that she now had a sad expression on her face. I had no idea why. Sympathy for me perhaps?

"I'm sorry to hear that even you, that is part of a species that rules this planet, don't understand it either."

"Ahh well most humans don't. No one understands why we are here or anything. Some think evolution, others think it was god who made us in his image. There's a lot of theories about why we are here but none have actually been proven yet."

"That sounds very confusing and interesting....but tell me...what was that secret you mentioned earlier?"

"Ohh....well it was just that..in the show, your my favorite pony."

She looked up at me and blushed. I could see tears forming up in her eyes. I'm guessing they were tears of joy this time.

"You....you really mean that?"

"Yes I do. All the time I've had you here I've been thinking about you non stop. You are so amazing and you don't even know it."

She hugged me the tightest she has yet and started crying. This time though, she wasn't sad. She was happy. I was glad I could say something that actually made her happy as she told me that she was a bit depressed before she came here.

"That really means a lot to me. Well....it means the entire universe to me. Thankyou...so much Alex."

I hugged her back and slightly kissed her on the cheek.

"I should call you my little pony but I know that Celestia calls you that most of the time."

"Well you can if you want but yes your right...Celestia does call me that."

After about 2 hours of watching T.V, we made our way up to bed. Twilight still didn't understand what the T.V actually was. I was too tired to explain it to her so when she asked I just replied with a simple "I'll tell you when I'm more awake". When we got to bed, I was changing my top when I suddenly noticed, out of the corner of my eye, Twilight looking at my chest with a seductive smile. This made me feel a little bit uncomfortable and awkward. I mean...I did like her but...it was a bit awkward considering at the time I thought Twilight, a pony, was coming on to me.

As I got into bed without my top on, Twilight was still giving me that awkward....seductive smile. I really felt uneasy now.

"Twilight, why are you giving me that look?"

"Oh, no reason. I just think you look quite.....fascinating....not that I mean't you looked sexy or anything.....I didn't mean to say that...."

Now I definitely knew she was coming on to me as she said the word "sexy" and she was blushing like a horny anime girl.

"Twi, its ok I understand what you mean't. Can we get some sleep now?"

"Ermmm yes sure....sorry to have bothered you."

"Its fine Twi. Goodnight."

"Goodnight Alex."

And yet another day ended...
