As a legendary two man Fire team known as 'Orion' gets sent on a routine supply run to a still functional golden age research base near the Mare Cognitum region on the moon to check on the research team that was stationed their to study a satellite-like device that they dubbed 'The Anomaly'. What the two guardians uncover at the base resulted in the two of them being unwillingly transported along with the whole entire base into another dimension were the traveler does not exist but their light within them and the darkness. As the two continue their fight with the darkness, they will face new hardships, new forgings of friendships, new tasks at hand, and the loss of a fellow guardian.
