Love Like You

In a tent outside of Las Pegasus, ponies flocked inside taking seats in the tent it was similar to a circus seeing animals from around Equestria. A unicorn stallion stood in the center ring he was stout abit on the chubby side. His coat was a stormy blue color his mane color was black with undertones of grey showing he was getting on in years. He wore a black and blue ringmaster's outfit with a black mask over his dark grey eyes. His cutie mark was a whip in the shape of a circus ring.

"Welcome Fillies and Gentlecolts!" he called looking at the audience "Welcome to Ringmaster Whip Snap's Extravaganza Circus! "

The ponies cheered and clapped watching the acts preformed daring and amazing feats.

"Now we shall begin with a specular fire eating pony may the show of the centuray begin!" Whip Snap called

A Large male orange earth pony came picking up torches lit with flames eating them and even sending out a large blast of fire from his mouth rivalling that of a dragon.

We see a female unicorn with multiple piercings throwing knifes at targets even throwing them at a another mare on a spinning wheel and missing her completely.

"Fillies and Gentlecolts turn your attention to the center ring to witness the highlight of our circus presenting The Amazing Shape shifting Pony" he called

In the middle of the ring appeared a young filly she had ash grey body with a violet curly mane and tail with blue streaks she had pink eyes with silts as pupils what was strange little holes in her legs she also had a blank flank. She had a unicorn horn but also wings but not like Pegasus they were they seemed like that of a butterfly but the magenta color of it seem almost dull and she seemed to a little on the sickly side.

The little pony looked at the ponies looking at her as she looked nervous and afraid as Whip Snap continued this introduction of her.

"She can becoming anypony from an Earth pony" he called as the filly was covered in pinkish rings changing into an earth pony in the audience and bucked a dummy placed inside the ring.

"Pegasus" he called as the filly became a Pegasus in the audience her wings more like the traditional pegasai wings and flew around the tent amazing the ponies.

"And Unicorn!" he called as she became a unicorn in the audience and her horn glowed with a pinkish aura levitating the dummies, barrels, and other equipment in the ring.

The ponies cheered in amazement clapping and stomping their hooves in excitement as Whip Snap smiled at this.

"And now for the finale watch as she transforms into Princess Celestia herself" he called.

The ponies watched looking excited as the filly was nervous as she started to concentrate as the rings began to cover her. She began to transformed into Princess Celestia but only she had no wings the audience were confused.

Whip Snap's right eye twitched but calmed himself trying to get the audience back.

"Uh, a minor error folks. Our little star just needs to get herself together." he said while keeping a straight face.

Whip Snap turned to the filly who had changed back to normal and spoke in a harsh whisper to the little filly as if promising pain and torture if she didn't get it right this time.

"Get it right or you will face the music." he said with a harsh whisper

The filly gulped a little trying again as the rings came she became Princess Celestia again only she had wings but no horn.

The crowd was once again getting bored, while the Ringmaster was losing his patience.

He turned to the filly who was once again her normal self he decided to move on with the show to get them reinserted.

"Well, she's done enough changing for one day. Now let us bring out next performance!" he called.

The crowd looked up seeing pegasai doing acrobatic feats with no net below them.

Their attention was regained, as the filly was escorted off by two earth pony roustabouts as Whip Snap looked at her angrily his horn lightly glowing with a magic aura.

"What happened out there?" he said

"I told you I can't do alicorns" the filly said upset looking nervous at the ringmaster.

"But you have no problem with the others types?" he said

"I told you hundreds of times I just can't!" she shouted

"Don't raise your voice at me." he warned her, while getting in her face.

The filly shook at that as Whip Snap circled her looking angry at the shivering filly that stood in the middle.

Whip Snap took some breaths and turned to the filly with an condescending smirk plastered on his face.

"It seems I must once again teach you who is the master around here." he said as he began to pull something out.

"Please sir not again I'm sorry I'll try harder next time I promise" the filly said shaking trying to move away from him.

"I need to ensure that promise of yours is kept true to your word."

He pulls out a long brown leather whip with his magic looking at the little filly.

The scared filly was backed into a corner as the Ringmaster's shadow covers her.

The cheers of the crowd covered up the sounds of whip snaps and little cries of pain and sadness.

The filly was tossed into a cage as the roustabouts placed chains on her legs and neck.

"Give her water when she needs it but no food for her tonight nor tomorrow" Whip said to the earth ponies

He turned to the little pony who was crying which a mocking concerned look.

"Now don't give me that look Halfling you should had been a good little filly but you had to embarrass me out there" he said

the filly was silent as the ringmaster looked at her using his hoof to pet under her chin.

"Maybe if you be good I'll let you heal yourself but only if you behave tonight" he said as her moved away from the cage locking the door.

Later on the Ringmaster came back out turning to the crowd and began his final speech of the evening.

"Well, fillies and gentlecolts that's our performance. Thank you and come back again!" he called

The ponies cheered while off stage we hear sounds of crying of a little filly.

Afterward the ponies were clearing out.

We move backstage seeing the filly in a cage crying whip marks covering her body.

"I try. I try so hard." she cried.

She looks up into the sky seeing the moon glowing through a hole in a tent.

"This can't be all there is to life." she said sadly

She looked on as she began to sing to the moon.

"Lost and unsure, the pony is fading, A distant fragment of nobody important...Wishing for a day lost in memories distant..." she finished singing sadly.

She curled up and tried to sleep. Hoping one day to be free and be able to smile once more.
