Love Like You

Chapter 1: Finding You

Outside of the tent ponies began to walk out well some did hopping out was a pink earth pony with three balloons. Her name was Pinkie Pie a resident of Ponyville also coming out were five other ponies and a dragon.

"That was a super awesome show!" Pinkie said hopping across the sand as the others came out.

"I can't believe some of the performers they had." Rainbow added, as she flew around the cerulean Pegasus holding what remain of cotton candy she had been snacking on during the show.

"Though you see that young performer?" Fluttershy said the yellow Pegasus who was next to Rarity a white unicorn referring to the little filly.

AJ an orange earth pony walked next to Twilight she was curious as well still eating the caramel apple she had.

"How does a pony change into other types? I thought only Changelings can do that?" AJ said to The Princess of Friendship.

"They are. I don't know how that pony can do it, but apparently she can't do them all." Twilight said.

Rainbow floated above the other flying down next to them.

"Yeah, that wasn't a good attempt at transforming into the Princess." she said to her friends

Pinkie hopped next to Rainbow Dash smiling at her best friend.

"Yeah, it was either lack of wings or lack of horn." Pinkie said

"She could have been tired" Fluttershy said brining up a point partly feeling sorry for the poor filly.

"Yes, I can't imagine a child being able to handle such a performance." Rarity said.

Spike who was in between Twilight and Rarity eating popcorn.

"Yeah. Talk about overwork." Spike said eating another handful.

Rarity walked next to Twilight the violet alicorn looking at her fashionsita friend

"It sure was nice that Princess Celestia gave you these tickets" Rarity said to Twilight.

"Well, she say it was the most popular show in the land." Twilight said

After their battle with Lord Tirek, Princess Celestia decided that the girls and Spike needed a break and gave them tickets to the best hotel in Las Pegasus and tickets to the circus. So far they were having a great time.

Pinkie hopped as she heard somepony crying her ears twitched trying to find the source.

"Hmm?" she said.

AJ noticed Pinkie stopping to listen to the crying.

"Ya ok, Pinkie?" she asked the pink pony.

"yeah I'm fine" Pinkie said as Rainbow Dash motioned her to come on.

"Come on, let's go break for dinner." she said

"Right." Pinkie agreed, as they pressed on.

Pinkie however trailed behind. She could still hear the crying it sounded like a filly she decided to investigate. She walked around seeing an opening in the circus tent. She crept inside and looked around for the source of the crying.

She walks seeing the cage containing the filly from before who was trying to cry herself to sleep.

"Hello" Pinkie said to the filly making her jump in surprise.

"Eep" the filly said looking scared.

"It's you." Pinkie gasped.

"Who...Who are you..." The filly asked scared.

"I'm Pinkie Pie, a friend to all ponies." Pinkie said smiling at the filly.

"Miss Pinkie..." The filly said looking at Pinkie who giggled at being called Miss.

"Please. Just call me Pinkie." Pinkie said as she went to the cage and knelt down smiling.

"What's your name?" Pinkie asked the filly

"I'm Magic...Magic Butterfly..." The filly or Magic said looking scared and nervous.

"Magic Butterfly I like it its perfect for you." Pinkie said smiling.

Magic blushed at that compliment as Pinkie looked at her inside the cage.

"Why're you in here?" she asked

Magic looked down sadly not wanting to say anything frowning.

Pinkie saw the frown as a super duper party pony she couldn't let a filly have that sad face.

"Come on don't give me a sad face." Pinkie said she ran over grabbing the stuff the clowns used for the act and began to do her own comedy routine getting Magic to smile and giggle.

"Made you smile." Pinkie grinned and spoke to herself "Pinkie you do it again"

Seeing that Magic was better she decided to ask again.

"So why're you in a cage?" Pinkie asked

Magic looked down upset looking nervous to tell Pinkie.

"This is where I'm kept." Magic said making Pinkie gasp.

"Who would keep a filly in a cage?" she said looking mad and sorry for the poor filly.

"My boss" Magic said referring to the ringmaster.

Pinkie also saw the whip marks on the poor filly guessing the ringmaster did those as well.

"I got punished because I messed up" Magic said.

"You mean when you tried to transform into the Princess" Pinkie said.

Magic nodded at that looking at Pinkie.

"I've told him I can't I'm not strong enough yet" Magic said looking down sadly.

"Well that makes sense then why did he make you do it then" Pinkie said

"Because all he cares about is making bits" Magic said upset looking down. "It doesn't matter to him if I can't do some or if I'm not feeling well he just wants money"

Pinkie seeing this was no place for a filly spoke, "I'm getting you out of here."

"Uh?" Magic said confused at Pinkie.

"Just leave everything to me." Pinkie said smiling at Magic.

Pinkie plucked a hair from her mane, licked it straight and used it to pick the lock.

Magic watched Pinkie pick the lock of her cage. Suddenly the lock snapped and the cage opened. Pinkie then went into the cage and started to work on the chains. Magic looked at the unlocked chains and the open door looking nervous.

"You're free now." Pinkie smiled.

Magic walked out of the cage and looked seeing she was free.

"Come on, follow me." Pinkie said motioning her to where Pinkie got in.

"But what about..." Magic said referring to the Ringmaster.

"Won't know if he doesn't see you." Pinkie noted.

Magic looked at Pinkie who motioned her to follow out of the hole.

Magic followed as the two looked around. Pinkie acting like a spy checking the area.

"All clear." Pinkie said as the two walked away from the tent.

The two got far enough away from the tent Pinkie decided to ask Magic.

"So how can you change into all those things?" Pinkie asked as Magic looked cautious and nervous.

"You promise not to freak out or get scared..." Magic said.

"I Pinkie Promise" Pinkie said making the motions of her Pinkie Promise.

Magic took a deep breath and said something that surprised Pinkie.

"I'm part Changeling" Magic said her eyes lightly glowing in the darkness
