Sweet took her normal seat by Lemon Zest.

Lemon Zest smiled. "Did you do your homework?"

She nodded. "Yeah, did you?"

"I did it this morning."

Sour Sweet rolled her eyes.

Principal Cinch walked in. Three girls were with her. "Class, this is Adagio Naggle, Sonata Duck, and Aria Maze."

Adagio glared at her. "I'm Adagio Dazzle, and my friends are Sonata Dusk and Aria Blaze. We're new here, and we can't wait to make new friends."

Sour Sweet pulled her hair over her shoulder. "They don't look good it school clothes."

Sonata looked at her. "Hi, Sour Sweet."

"Um, hi Sonata," she said.

"Meet my in the bathrooms at lunch."

Sour Sweet blinked. "Ok, sure."

-

"Why did you want me to come here?" Sour Sweet asked.

Sonata smirked. "I just wanted to know if you would remember me. You did dream about me, remember?"

Sour Sweet did remember that terrifying dream.

"Hi, little girl," Sonata whispered. "We're going to be great friends one day. We're going to kill some people, and have fun. I'll meet you

some day, Sour Sweet, and you'll see how strong we can be together."

"But why should we kill people?" she had asked.

Sonata slashed a blade across her own arm.

A drop of blood fell on the ground.

She handed the blade to Sour Sweet. "Cut your arm, and the blood will lead me to you."

Her eyes glowed.

Sour Sweet took the knife, and sliced her arm open.

Blood dripped on Sonata's shirt.

"I'll find you, Sour Sweet. The blood you gave me will change your life forever.

"Yeah, I remember," she whispered.

Sonata nodded. "That's great."

She took a shirt out. "I have your blood on here."

"You came here so we could kill people?"

"First, I want to show you something. It's a really fun game. Called the choking game."

"Um, you want to choke me?"

Sonata smiled. "I won't kill you. It's just the first part of our party. Sit on the floor. I'm just going to pinch off the blood flow to your brain. It

can't hurt you." (people, never play this game. It's not even a game, it's suicide.)

She sat down. "It's won't hurt?"

"You gave me the key to find you. I won't hurt you, ever. Just trust me."

"Ok, you can do it."

Sonata put her hand on Sour Sweet's neck. She pinched the vein.

Sour Sweet could feel the blood flow cut off.

"It's ok," Sonata whispered.

She started singing softly.

"The blood, the blood, the blood of the lamb,

Is worth two lions,

But here I am."

Her necklace glowed.

It ripped blood out of Sour Sweet's body.

"I can move mountains,

I can work a miracle, work a miracle,

Oh, oh

Keep you like an oath

May nothin' but death do us part."

A thin stream flowed into her necklace.

Sour Sweet's eyes dulled, and she fell.

Sonata smirked.

It only took a minute for Sour Sweet to get up.

"That was awesome!" she rasped.

There was a red spot on her neck.

Sonata nodded. "I know. How do you feel?"

"I'm great. Can you do it again?"

"I don't like to do it more than one time every day. Let your blood start flowing again." she said.

Sour Sweet smiled. "Why did your necklace take some of my blood? That's so cool. I would love to do that."

Sonata pulled a necklace out of her pocket. "That's great, because I got you one."

"Thank you," she said as Sonata put it around her neck.

It glittered.

Sonata took her hand. She pulled her blade out.

"What are you doing?" she asked.

"Your necklace needs to taste your blood before you can take blood from others."

She cut Sour Sweet's hand open. Blood trickled out, and her necklace sucked it in.

The slice was still bleeding.

"I got this," Sonata said.

She wrapped a paper towel on it.

"If anyone sees this, just tell them you cut your hand on your desk."

"Thank you," Sour Sweet whispered.

"Look, I have to go. Let's meet tomorrow. You can choke me." Sonata told her.

Sour Sweet nodded. "Ok, bye."

After Sonata left, Indigo Zap walked in. "Hey, Sour."

"Hi, Zap," she said.

"Don't call me Zap."

"Then don't call me Sour."

Indigo smiled. "Where were you? We always eat with the others at lunch."

Sour Sweet put her hand on her head. "Yeah, I know. I'm sorry. Sonata wanted to talk to me."

"Who is she?" she asked.

"I friend from grade school," she lied.

Indigo nodded. "Ok, that's cool. Well, I have to go. Lemon and I are going to the movies later, if you want to come."

"Ok, thank you. Bye, Zappy."

"If you ever call me that again, I'll cut your arm."

Sour Sweet gasped. "What do you know about my arm?"

She touched the sharp part of her pendant, ready to cut Indigo's throat.

Indigo stared at her. "I just said I would cut your arm if you call me Zappy again."

"Oh, I thought you said something different. Yeah, sorry. For both things."

"It's ok. Bye, Sour Sweet."

Sour Sweet waved.

"Talk a little too much

For a school that never wins,

Maybe you should just stop

'Fore you even begin."

Her necklace pulled blood from Indigo's body.

She smirked.

Her necklace glowed. It was filling with blood.

It was filling on her own blood.

She was killing herself.
