Blood Truth

Previous Chapter

Sour Sweet grabbed a fork. She cut the necklace off, and put it in her closet.

Grace walked in. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"Tell me why you were about to die."

Sour Sweet shook her head. "I can't. I don't remember." she lied.

Her mom sighed. "Try to remember."

"Try to leave me alone!" she screamed.

She walked out of the house.

Tyler smiled. "Do you want to stay home today?"

No. no, no! Leave me alone!

She didn't stop.

Her friends were at school.

"Hey, Sour Sweet." Lemon Zest said.

"How are you?" Indigo asked.

"I'm great. I don't need to be treated like an invalid."

Sugar Coat smiled. "We know."

Sunny Flare pulled her short hair. "Adagio, Aria, and Sonata left."

"That's good," she whispered.

Indigo stared at her. "I thought she was your friend."

Sour Sweet smiled. "Oh, she is! I love her!"

Lies were pouring out of her now. She didn't want anyone to know about the blood stealing.

But nothing can stay secret forever.

"Well, I'm going to get to class. Bye, girls!" Sunny Flare called.

Lemon Zest pointed. "I'm going with her. Come on, Sugar Coat."

*note, this is their freshman year*

-

Three years went by, and Spur Sweet still held the guilt in her heart.

But she had no idea what was about to come for her...

Sour Sweet sat in her desk. She scratched her leg on her ugly school shoe. (I had to.)

Dean Cadence walked in the room. "I need to see Sour Sweet."

The teacher nodded.

Sour Sweet walked to the dean's office.

"Is everything ok?" she asked.

The dean put a knife and a necklace on her desk. "I don't know. Can you tell me what this is?"

Her eyes were filled with tears. "I've never seen it in my life." she lied.

Dean Cadence stared at her. "Sour Sweet, don't lie to me."

"I'm not!" she didn't want to keep lying, but she had to.

"Ok, fine. We can play it like that. Bring her in!"

A police officer walked in with Sonata.

Sour Sweet shook her head.

Dean Cadence put her hand on Sour Sweet's arm. "We know you were stealing blood from people."

"I don't know what you're talking about!" she lied again.

"Tell us what you did!" the dean screamed.

"Ok, fine!" she slammed her hands on her legs. "We used that necklace to steal blood from people, and then one day, he tried to kill me!"

The officer looked at Dean Cadence. She nodded.

He arrested them both.
