Skyline was on his bed sleeping, and then suddenly his alarm goes off. In sleepy frustration, he grabs it and throws it across the room. Skyline slept horribly that night. Nightmares, or more likely visions, had invaded his sleep, and none of these warnings made Skyline in any way comfortable. Couldn't a guy live in peace?

No. Apparently not.

Skyline got up and got dressed. He put on a black v-neck shirt and some blue jeans, and grabbed his "Skyline Motorsports" Skateboard. Skyline had put that design on the board for fun, but if there is professional racing here, maybe he'll make it real.

He started skating along the sidewalks when Twilight called him on his cell phone.

"Twi?"

"Uh, hi. I was wondering.... could I tell the other four girls about the-"

"Be very careful what you say over a phone. It could be tapped."

"Okay, um, could I tell them about the thing?"

Skyline thought for a moment, rolling down the sidewalk. "Fine. make sure you are in a private area. And don't twist it. Tell the facts, and paraphrase if needed, but don't make them think i'm some killer."

"Alright. Unless you want to tell them?"

"I got things to do."

"Okay. Bye."

"Goodbye."

Skyline hung up and popped a kickflip as he rode over to AJ's. As soon as the road turned to dirt, he picked up his board and flew the rest of the way. When he arrived, he went to the barn/house and knocked on the door. The one who answered way a young pre-teen girl. She spoke first.

"Who are you?", she said in an accent very similar to AJ's.

"I'm new to here. I'm Skyline. I was wondering if your sister was here?"

"Nice to meet 'cha." She turned torward the house. "Applejack!"

Applejack appeared in the hall. "What's wrong, sugarcube?"

"A guy named Skyline's here ta see ya"

Applejack came to the door

"Uh, hey there."

"Pretend as if last night didn't happen. I'm not a bad person. Come on, let's go for a walk."

"Uh...."

"You busy?"

"No, not really."

"Let's walk."

They started to take a walk through the orchard while Skyline magically dismantled his board and reassembled it repeatedly. "Look, AJ, I consider myself normal. An everyday pegasus, regardless of my sketchy past, and an even bigger past I won't even tell, but I'm your friend, not a contract killer." Skyline smiled. "Unless there is a market for that here."

AJ laughed, "Alright, alright. But cut the magic out. Its not exactly what you're trying to get by."

"Right."

Skyline held his skateboard. "I have a question."

"Yea?"

"Is there professional level racing?"

"Yea, but you gotta go up to Canterlot to do that."

"Well, maybe I will start a racing team then."

"Oh?"

"Yeah."

"Okay."

"Well, gotta go. I have a plan to work out."

"Alright."

Skyline flew away and hopped onto his skateboard. He then rolled to his garage, and went to the warehouse. He then found the car he had in mind.

A 2003 Mazda Rx-8.

The car already had a Drift setup, and the body kit was perfect. The car was quite JDM, Skyline would say. All it needed was a paint job. So Skyline spent that day in the paint area of his shop, painting the car soft yellow with pink covering the top. After finishing the paint on the rims, (Soft yellow), he put a Skyline Motorsports sticker at the top of the windshield. After it was perfect, he loaded it onto the trailer of his Ford Raptor and drove to Fluttershy's house. When he got there, he knocked on the door lightly. When she answered, she seemed to shrink away from him

"H-hi."

"Fluttershy, my past is not what I am now. Now, I am the neighborhood mechanic. And your friend. You need to trust me."

"O-okay. What b-brings you here?"

Skyline smiled. "I noticed you don't have a car. Do you know how to drive?"

She nodded.

"Do you know how to drive fast?"

She looked confused. Skyline then lead her to his truck, and pulled the tarp off of the car. "I want you to drive with me."

"Where?"

"In the Equestrian Drift Series, and maybe the Equestrian Racing Circuit."

"B-but I don’t know how to race."

"I'll teach you everything I know."

"Well.... okay. But..."

"Yes?"

"Why me?"

Skyline stared at the car. "I've heard the silent ones can be the best at things. I'm thinking that now."

He turned to her. "Do you want to drive with me on the team that could possibly take over the racing scene?"

Fluttershy looked at the car. "Sure, I guess... When do I get taught?"

"Now."

A yellow and pink Rx-8 whined through the abandoned warehouse. It was a warehouse Skyline had found during his police escapade, and it was a perfect drifting proving ground.

"Handbrake! Handbrake! Gas, gas, gas!! Go, go!"

Fluttershy, as Skyline had sensed, actually had a knack for this, and was learning quickly, taking the smooth floored warehouse and making it a sliding playground. These lessons continued for a week when Skyline sensed that maybe she was ready for the Touge.

Skyline walked up to the car and Fluttershy rolled down the window.

"So, Fluttershy, you know what tandem drifting is?"

"Isn't that drifting in pairs?"

Skyline smiled. "Meet me at the mountain roads, at the highest point, tonight. Okay?"

"Okay."

"Go on."

Fluttershy drove out of the warehouse, and Skyline got into his own car. He started the engine, and the 2000GTR revved violently. He shifted into first and peeled out of the building, going torward his home. When he parked next to his car warehouse, he went inside to get his legendary drift car. This car was used in Touge annihilation, and it wouldn't fail him now. It was his prized Nismo 2002 Nissan Skyline GTR R34 V-Spec II NUR, with a full widebody kit. It was full white, with a carbon-fiber wing and hood, and it even had a sticker-bombed fender on the driver's side. White stickers filled the front on the windshield in front of the passenger's side, but was clear on the driver's side. He even got a sticker for the driver's window that said his name next to an Equestrian flag. This car was nicknamed Godzilla, because of it's raw power. It was an AWD car, but he had disconnected the drivetrain to the front wheels long ago. He wanted to make one last adjustment, and he put a Skyline Motorsports sticker on the hood, and he put a smaller one on the trunk. He pulled out his phone and sent a mass message to the other girls telling then about the drifting tonight. One by one, he got replies saying they would be there. Skyline jumped into his car, buckled his four-point seatbelt, and did a burnout leaving the warehouse.

Skyline floored it, and the car was so quick that he had to be very careful with shifting. He entered the canterlot area within twenty minutes, hitting 130 MPH without trying.

All the girls were already there, and it seemed like some car enthusiasts somehow got wind of it too, because there were other people there. Skyline drove in slowly, and parked in a parking space. After getting out, he walked over to the girls.

"Hey! Glad you could make it."

Twilight spoke first. "What's this about? A race?"

Skyline said,"Well, yea, sorta. It's Drifting."

Twilight raised her eyebrow. "Uh huh. So who you racing?"

Skyline nodded at Fluttershy. "Didn't she tell you?"

Rarity spoke up. "Fluttershy, dear, you're driving? Racing? I wound have never thought i'd see the day..."

"Well, when ya startin'?" Applejack inquired.

"This is gonna be interesting." Said Rainbow Dash.

"I NEED BALLOONS!" Pinkie yelled. Everyone froze for a second, staring at her.

"Ooookay.", Skyline said. "We should be ready to start now."

"Ooh, let me signal the start!" Rarity said.

Skyline chuckled. "Alright. Fluttershy! Get ready. Meet at the line."

Five minutes later, Skyline was at the line in his 2002 Nissan, and so was Fluttershy in her 2003 Mazda. Rarity walked up the front of the cars and did a cliche street racing sendoff. She pointed at Fluttershy's car. Fluttershy revved her rotary motor. Then Rarity pointed at Skyline. Skyline pumped the gas, and blew blue fire out of his exhaust. Rarity put her hands up, and...

He hands went down.

Fluttershy managed to get the early lead, and they both accelerated down the cliff. There was a video feed along the mountain that Skyline had tapped into for the girls, which they would watch as they battled. Fluttershy entered the first turn, gracefully swinging out her back end, a beautiful drift, and Skyline did the same, getting bumper to bumper

Soon they reached the Switchback. Fluttershy misinterpreted the first turn and she accidentally drifted too wide, which Skyline took advantage of. "Too wide, Fluttershy!" He said into the walkie talkie he had set up between all of the girls.

Again and again, they drifted, and Fluttershy tried her hardest to regain first place, but Skyline shut her down every time.

The hill soon started to dip and Skyline accelerated. This newfound speed he took to the next corner, but the speed threw off his car's balance, and he spun out. Skyline turned his car around, but not before Fluttershy had passed him. Skyline put the pedal to the floor and soon regained his speed. He was about a car's distance from Fluttershy, and the finish was only a half-mile away. Skyline hit the NOS button, but Fluttershy was still in the lead by a bumper when they crossed the line.

They slowed down, and when they stopped, Fluttershy got out and Skyline gave her a small hug. "I've taught you well."

Then, suddenly, they were being called on the radio. "You have to get out of there! Canterlot police are on us! We're fine, but you gotta go!" Twilight was saying.

Fluttershy and Skyline both got into their cars, and took off. At the next intersection, Fluttershy went forward, and Skyline took a right. Skyline was wondering why he wasn't being chased by Canterlot police, when all of a sudden he a sharp tinkle sound, and something hit his neck. He glanced down and grabbed it, and recognized it as a tranquilizer. Skyline felt his eyes droop, and as he passed out, he hit a wall at 90 MPH, deploying the airbag.

All he saw was black.
