Destiny Awaits
Destiny Islands: Sora’s bedroom
The morning light streamed through the window, landing directly on Sora’s snoozing face. With a snort, he awoke and looked around his bedroom before laying his head back down. A few seconds later, his eyes shot open with realization.
He shot up in his bed and took a better look around the room. Seeing Neku and Beat asleep on his floor nearly gave him a heart attack. However, his memories got to his heart before what he saw did. It was a brief shock, but considering what had happened, anyone would be shocked. Knowing that his mother wouldn’t like the...sudden appearance of guests, Sora nudged Neku awake.
“We better get you guys out of here,” Sora stated, “I don’t want mother knowing more than she should.”
“Kay, I’ll get Beat up.”
Sora nodded and began to tie his clothes and sheets to make a rope, having experience in sneaking off to the island. As he was working, he noticed one of the pockets of his knotted shorts was moving. He put his hand in it and pulled out…
“Jiminy?” Sora asked in bewilderment, holding the small cricket. “What are you doing here?”
“Well, I…” Jiminy started.
“Who’re ya talking to?” a drowsy Beat asked, as he walked toward the window.
Thinking quickly, Sora deposited Jiminy into the hood of his vest. He then said, “No one.”
“Good. Let’s go,” he said and grabbed the rope Sora fashioned. Beat tied the end to one of the bed posts and climbed out the window.Neku stepped past Sora and readied to climb down.
“You coming?” he asked.
With a pause, Sora answered, “Meet me at the docks. I’ve got to check on something.”
Neku nodded and started climbing down the rope. When he was out of sight, Jiminy jumped out of Sora’s hood.
“That was close. Sorry about being here at a bad time,” Jiminy said, “How did they get here anyway?”
“It’s a long story.”
“We do have a bit of a trip to the docks.”

Destiny Islands: Seashore
“Interesting,” Jiminy said as they sat on the seaside shack, watching Neku and Beat spar with wooden swords and their psych magic. “They were in danger and this Joshua character asked you to get them out of the Realm of Dreams.”
“More or less, yeah,” Sora said, “It was indirect, but yeah. But how about you; how did you end up in one of my short pockets?”
“Well, I heard that you were in recovery after defeating Master Xehanort. I wanted to visit you and see how you were doing. However, there were some things that couldn’t wait, so I had to take care of those…”
"What were those?”
“Transcribing my journals into a more readable size. Everyone that goes to read them hates using tweezers and a magnifying glass. It took me all of your recovery time to get it done.”
“It’s okay. I needed to sort out my thoughts alone during that time.”
“What sort of thoughts?” Jiminy asked.
“Uh, about a month ago, I started having these weird dreams. It showed a bunch of multicolored, magic ponies.”
Jiminy lightly chuckled before clearing his throat in brief embarrassment. “You know, I wouldn’t doubt that there is a world that has such creatures.”
“If there is, it hasn’t been discovered yet,” Sora said. He suddenly blurted, “Speaking of which, how are Riku and Kairi doing in exploring the Lanes Between? Any new worlds?”
“They seem to be doing okay with the exploration. They set up a few beacons to get those worlds charted at least, but we haven’t heard from them for a while.”
“They probably got caught up in something,” Sora said, not even trying to hide the disappointment in his voice.
“Maybe, but that is yet to be said,” Jiminy said without noticing Sora starting to get up.
Sora got up and started walking towards the Secret Place. Before he got to the edge of the shack, he heard and felt Jiminy jump onto his shoulder.
“I get the feeling that you want to be alone, but I think you should have some company,” Jiminy said.
“Thanks, Jiminy,” Sora responded, as he walked on towards the Secret Place.

Destiny Islands: Secret Place
After crawling into the cave that made up the Secret Place, Sora stood and walked directly up to the drawings on the side of the cave. All of the drawings held a memory of Sora and his friends, but one in particular held the most.
The drawing was a crude (yet well done) drawing of Kairi and a more clean drawing of Sora. Accenting the drawing was two arms, one for Kairi and one for Sora, each arm holding a Paopu Fruit. Each Paopu was being offered to the two people depicted in the picture. A symbol of his and Kairi’s love for each other.
Tears welled up in his eyes as he thought of all that he had to go through to save her...twice. Nearly losing himself to darkness to bring her back from a magical coma of sorts, and having risked his life to save her from Organization XIII.
He heard the sound of moving fabric. Thinking quickly he summoned the Kingdom Key and barely managed to parry an attack from the Unknown visitor. As per the norm, he wore a black cloak and had his hood up. His weapon was a red, ethereal blade, much like the ones used by…
“Xemnas!? But...How!?” Sora said in frustrated bewilderment.
He managed to push him off of himself and began to fight. Xemnas rushed forward slashing his blades left and right, Sora parrying each slash. Sora ran to slash left, but ran into an ethereal barrier and got shocked in the process. Sora raised the Kingdom Key, blocked a downward slash from Xemnas, and managed to knock him back with a quick counterattack. Taking the opportunity, Sora ran back to the entrance of the cave.

Destiny Islands: Seashore
After clawing his way out of the cave, he began to run towards the small dock, but a Portal of Darkness appeared. Out rushed Xemnas, ethereal blades extended and ready. Sora readied the Kingdom Key and began to match his opponent's attack speed with his defense speed. Ever so slowly he started to get pushed back, inch by inch.
But almost as quickly as the assault began, it stopped. Beat had tried to sneak up on Xemnas, but he spun around with one of his blades, nearly shaving a few inches of height off of Beat. After that initial shock, Beat and Neku began to fight Xemnas as fiercely as he had been fighting Sora. Taking another opportunity, Sora turned to run, but felt a boot to his back, causing him to fly forward into the fresh water spring.
Just before he hit the water, he could almost swear that his reflection was that of a light red pony with his hair color and hairstyle.
