"I remember the first victim…. A mare who came out of the Everfree forest…. She was young, barely an adult. The mare was limping. Almost as though she was injured yet, nothing was ever found to be wrong. The second day she became familiar with civilians in Ponyville, claiming a room with Berrypunch. Her name was Rubymist, that’s what we called her anyway. But the second day she began showing signs of heavy memory loss…. Even the previous day was spotty. The third day…. Her cutiemark disappeared…. Poof! Gone! She didn’t remember anything about it or who she was…. She didn’t even recognize Berrypunch…. The fourth day was when she lost it…. She attacked Berrypunch instantly, but Berrypunch won. The strange pony was dead.... But not before Something landed in Berrypunch's eye."
