I Can Still Remember....

Berrypunch was invited to the Princess of Friendship's castle to share what information she learned to Twilight Sparkle and her five friends. She wasn't doing well, so Twilight thought it would be good for her. What a horrible error.... Once Berrypunch arrived Pinkie Pie greeted her with a cheerful smile, but was barely a centimeter away.

"Hi! You must be completely traumatized by murdering your friend!" Pinkie says quickly, cheerful and unaware. Berrypunch folds her ears back, suddenly sneezing in Pinkie's face.

"Pinkie darling, that's no way to talk to a mare in such a situation!" Rarity scolds Pinkie Pie, who is wiping the saliva and snot off her face.

"Don't mind her.... She's always like that!" Rainbow Dash vainly attempts to comfort Berrypunch

"I-It's fine...." Berrypunch folds her ears back, feeling bad about sneezing in Pinkie's face.

"Perhaps we should go somewhere a bit more comfortable...." Twilight thinks for a moment "How about the library!" She smiles. Berrypunch nods and Twilight leads the six mares through the castle. Pinkie Pie leans towards Berrypunch, softly speaking.

"Don't worry about sneezing in my face, things like that happen a lot!" She giggles. Berry looks at the pink mare, nodding slightly.

"Alright! Here we are!" Twilight stops in front of large, wooden double doors with golden handles. She opens the door using magic. The room is rather large, bookshelves overflowing with books line the walls.

"W-Wow.... You have quite the collection of books...." Berrypunch looks around in awe.

"Read each and everyone! ....Twice...." Twilight chuckles nervously, walking inside and sitting on a blue pillow. All the mares sit down as well, with the exception of Berrypunch.

"Go ahead and have a seat sugarcube, Fluttershy don't bite!" Applejack smiles reassuringly

"Not anymore that is!" Pinkie snorts and starts laughing, everyone joining in but Berrypunch and Fluttershy. Fluttershy folds her ears back, remembering when she was a bat.

"My.... That was horrible!" She says "But, I would never hurt anypony on purpose...." Berrypunch sits down on the remaining pillow, next to Fluttershy and Rarity.

"Now, could you tell us in great detail what happened? Yesterday in particular...." Twilight looks at Berrypunch reassuringly

"Well, I was making breakfast as usual when I saw Ruby walk down the stairs. So naturally I walked over to greet her before realizing she wasn't acting right.... She tackled me and tried to pin me down. At first she succeeded and I got a good look at her face. She was completely expressionless and was drooling uncontrollably.... But what really disturbed me was her eyes.... They weren't the normal red, but we're bloodshot with little green flecks in her irises!" Berrypunch shivers

"Green flecks...." Twilight mutters. "How strange...."

"I managed to escape and get my hooves on the knife I kept around, proceeding to stab her through the eye...." Fluttershy seems grossed out while Rarity gags a bit. Pinkie loses her smile while Applejack doesn't seem effected. Rainbow is completely focused and excited, Twilight silently looks at the floor while she's deep in thought. "I didn't want to hurt my friend.... But I realized my friend was already gone...." Everyone sits there in silence for a few minutes.

"Thank you, Berrypunch. If there's anything I can do for you, don't hesitate to come and find me!" Twilight looks at the purple mare. Berrypunch, tearing up a bit, nods and stands up. She walks to the door and leaves just in time for the tears to stream down her face.

"Somethin's missin...." Applejack looks to Twilight

"Something feels off, and I don't understand what it could be...." Twilight says, unnerved by something.

"I got an order for Applebloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetiebelle's cute-cinera to bake. Plus all the decorations...." Pinkie says after a minute or two.

"And Angel bunny needs his tail fluffed...." Fluttershy adds.

"Those clouds won't clear themselves!" Rainbow dash says quickly

"I made another bet with Big Mac.... And I also got some apples to buck!" Applejack smiles nervously

"I've got to finish some dresses to take to Canterlot...." Rarity says awkwardly.

"W-Well.... I wouldn't want to keep any of you from your jobs.... See you guys later?" They all awkwardly nod and exit. Twilight sighs, looking around the empty library, wondering were Spike is. "Spike?" She calls out, but received no answer. "Spike!" She calls again, still receiving no reply. Confused she walks towards his bed. Once she arrives at the door, she opens it. "S-Spike....?" She wakes the small, purple dragon. His back is turned to her.

"Who am I....? ....What am I....?" He says in a confused tone

"Spike! You scared me for a mome- Wait.... What did you say?"

"Who.... Who are you?" He turns around, specks of a new shade of green are visible in his irises. He's completely expressionless as he stands, looking at Twilight. "Did you hurt me? Was it you who killed me?" He says in a more feminine tone

"S-Spike, what are you talking about?" She takes a step forward. "It's me... Twilight.... Y-Your friend...."

"SHUT UP!" He yells in his normal voice. "Go away!" He puts his hands on his head, closing his eyes. "I am your friend. She hurt us.... She killed us!" Spike says in the feminine tone, then looks at Twilight aggressively.

"That sounds a little like R-Ruby!" She gasps as Spike runs at her, his claws extended in front of him. "No, wait!" She says, leaping into the air and hovering just above Spike. Her horn glows a pinkish purple and so does Spike.

"Y-You...." He says before collapsing into a deep sleep. Twilight lands on the ground next to him.

"Spike.... I will find a way to make you better.... I don't know what's going on or what's happening, but I promise you I will figure it out!" She lowers her head, closing her eyes.
