Fire Speed

I had woken up to a soothing voice it was the mare that had token me into her home she was calling me for something I just didn’t know what it was. That’s when I smell the delicious smell of cupcakes with apple toppings. I had gotten up to go see these little cakes of joy, I had noticed the energetic little filly eating one of the cupcakes. I looked at the mare and she gave me an inviting look on her face, so I started to eat the cupcake. When I finished the small joy cake the small filly went to the bathroom to brush her teeth so I followed watching her as she brushes her teeth. What interested me was how she brushed her teeth, by using her unicorn to pick up the tooth brush. Now personally I’ve never seen a unicorn actually use their magic, it was an interesting thing to watch. While the grey mare was waiting for the small filly named Vinyl, I trotted over to her and asked “What’s your name.” She replied “My name is Ocean Breeze.” I made a small smile, she had a real nice name one that made me smile on the inside. Vinyl had come out and said in a cute high pitch voice “I’m ready!” She was well groomed and had a saddle bag on her side with books in it, so obviously she was going to school. I had been at school back at my village it was a small school filled with one class of 11 fillies and colts. Whenever we had left the home I couldn’t keep my eyes off the village that I was in, it was a huge village. Keeping my eyes from in front of me I ran into a colt about my age, he was gray with black spots and had a gray mane with dark ends. It had seemed that he was in a hurry to school with his bags at his side the only thing he said to me was hi. As he ran I noticed that there was a large group of about 20 fillies and colts heading toward the school. Vinyl followed them in her energetic way running and screaming into the school house. Ocean was still heading for the school house and immediately I knew I was going to be enrolled into the school.

As I sat down outside while Ocean was talking to the teacher about enrollment, I spotted a white filly running toward the school screaming “I’m Late, I’m Late oh Celestia I’m Late.” She ran right by me shutting the door behind her. Ocean immediately came out and told me to enter the school house, I slowly entered into the school house and was introduced to all the class. “This is our new student class his name is Fire Speed.” “Hi, Fire Speed” the class said in a tiresome way. The teacher led me to my seat which was right beside the colt I ran into earlier today. “Hi there my name is Ashen, Ashen Vulkis sorry bout earlier today I didn’t want to be late, are you new here?” I replied with a shy nod, and then my eyes wondered again through out the class room. After long hours of learning the bell finally rang to go home, I followed Vinyl to go to the house but she was going else where that I had no idea where. I finally called to her “Vinyl! Where are you going?” She turned around and replied “I’m just taking a shortcut come on.” She turned back around and started trotting again, so I followed her. Soon we made it home and as we walked in the house I noticed that the blanket was missing from where it was. I trotted toward Vinyl’s room and noticed a second bed across from Vinyl’s bed. She walked to her bed like she never noticed that there was an extra bed in her room or almost like she knew this all along. I walked over to the bed and climbed on to it, I had the biggest smile ever and I noticed that Ocean was at the door smiling at me. “Do you like the bed, I got it when you where at school.” “I love it” I said in the happiest voice. After a while of staring out of the window I hear a sound I heard the door knock, I quickly got up and peeked at the doorway of the room. Ocean went to open the door and at the door were 4 fillies looking up at her. “Can Vinyl come out and play?” they all said at the same time. “Why yes she can. Vinyl your friends want you!” Vinyl instantly got up and left to go with her friends. I walked inside the living room and sat down by the window facing the dirt roads. It wasn’t long till the Gray Colt named Ashen saw me at the window, he trotted toward the door and knocked. Ocean opened the door once again, Ashen had asked “May Fire come out today?” Ocean Turned toward me and said “Fire do you want to go outside?” I nodded and leaped toward the door following Ashen.

This was the beginning of a really good Friendship. Since then Ashen and I had been doing everything together from racing on the streets to stealing cupcakes from Sugar cube corner. Ashen got the best pony out of me I was shy and curious before but now I’m an energetic athlete. It was what will happen soon that will hurt the most.
