Obsidian Knight, who was born and raised just outside of Trottingham, is a lot of things: smart, kind, loyal, honest, a storyteller, an excellent baker and… a blank flank.

Since he can’t get a proper education, he can’t get a good paying job, so he heads to the Pie Family Rock Farm, with a letter from his mother for Mr. Igneous Pie.

When he arrives on the farm, he gets a better welcome than he planned. He’s given his own room, he gets a decent job, and he even makes a few friends, which is something he’s never had before.

He also experiences a new feeling, something he has never felt before. Something that’s linked to the youngest Pie family member: Marble Pie.

Obsidian learns a lot from this new job and lifestyle, including things about himself and his past, and the events that unfold will change him forever.
