Rarity, an arrogant perfectionist, is the top student at the Canterlot Preforming arts Academy, and has secretly dreamed to become a conductor, but is trapped in her home town because of her childhood phobia of airplanes. In contrast, Applejack, or "AJ", is a young farm girl, known for her beautiful singing voice, but despite being very talented, AJ prefers to live her simple everyday country lifestyle than to seek fame and fortune in the city.
