In the beginning of the world, the Holy Empress Faust created the land and the speechless animals that lived there. Whether it was unintended or a desired result we do not understand the wisdom of, there was a byproduct of this new creation: A race of Beings who almost transcended the limitations of physics and magic. There were quite a few of these beings, and their appearances and personalities differed wildly. However, they shared one thing in common, which is that they cared nothing for the mortal creatures surrounding them.
