Norman's POV

"I couldn't belive her, she said that she was perfectly fine to help me with paper work yesterday when she's almost due for our baby!" I exclaimed as me and the Queen of the Vampire realm (Flutterbat's mom) walked in a red apple meadow.

"That's just Flutterbat, she doesn't want to be lazy, like eating apples or reading magazines," She said proudly, I rolled my eyes, Ironically I've seen her do that many times during her pregnancy, I didn't want to insult my wife and her daughter so I just went with the flow.

"I know that! But she's pretty crazy from all the extreme pressure when the baby could just pop out of her womb at any minute!"

She sighed, "Babies just don't pop out Norman, they develop."

I slightly at her, I thought she would have gotten the gist "I was just exaggerating, hey whats the time anyway."

"Uh, half past eight."

"WHAT! Flutterbat's going to finish me!"

"Why what happened, what did you promise her, you know she's going to be really upset at your irresponsibility."

"I promised to take her out on a nice picnic and prepare a really sweet meal for her." I started to bite my nails, then out of the blue Flutterbat's mom laughed in hyperbole.

"Well, you best get a move on, I'm off to visit relations." She smiled and kissed her son-in-laws forehead as a million bats swirled around her, teleporting the Queen to another location I had no idea about.

I sighed and teleported also, thanks to Flutterbat for helping me perfect that trick, I then went our private quarters in our castle as I looked for her.

"Flutterbat?" I called out with a tentative tone, she usually responded to the sound of my voice, no one came, I glanced and narrowed my eyes.

"Flutters!" I said, I called again with my voice being a little louder this time. I then suddenly thought about the worst scenario for a nano-second, and then it came through I heard Flutterbat screaming in our room, I gasped in fear as I barged in, the window was opened as a wind drifted inside, hitting my face softly, I then saw Flutterbat's bulging stomach, and below that the couch was damp, like a wet substance.

"Norman, my water broke," Flutterbat had a tear roll down her face with a look of fear, my pale skin felt like it was going to crack apart.

"What... already, but you're not due for another month!"

Flutterbat yelled out and started sobbing, "The baby's coming... it's coming, AHHHHH! PLEASE HELP" She screamed and hissed at the first contraction that came into play.

I panicked, "OH NO OH NO OH NO!"

By the looks of it, it looked like we weren't going to make it to the hospital, and I couldn't teleport her because my energy was drained due to me greedily using it by myself, so I had to think constructively, I snapped my fingers in a Eureka tone.

"Water Birth, Flutterbat I'm going to carry you to the tub!"

"JUST DO IT!" She hissed as her eyes turned death red, gritting her teeth at my direction.

I hurried up as quickly as I could, I lifted her up and took her to the bathroom, I stripped her of her gown and quickly filled the tub with water.

"Hurry up! I felt another contraction"

I lowered her into the warm water, she instantly felt a bit of relief, from what I remember when I was taking courses on child development, you needed a large towel folded, so when the baby was born it won't touch a hard dirty surface.

A few moments later, she hissed in agony, the pain seemed too much for her, as she laid her head back.

"I c-can't do this! Please Norman. HELP ME. I CAN'T DO THIS!"

I tried to calm her down, I could see the baby kicking literally in front of me, "You can do this my love. Our baby is almost here, just keep pushing." I said, she grabbed my hand and almost crushed it, I winced slightly but I didn't really care, nothing seem to matter most then to get the baby delivered, with one last plea, I leaned brushed her pink hair to the side and kissed her cheek, which were now burning red.

"I love you..." I said, staring at her with intense passion.

And with that little heat of love, she screamed and held her breath, she pushed hard, with one last scream that would have broken the mirror, I looked down and the baby was delivered.

Flutterbat quickly reached down and was able to grab the babies arms, she gently pulled him up and onto her stomach. She quickly cut the baby's cord with her nail. After that, I helped by grabbing a nearby suction and removing any snot that was in her nose, and after that we heard the most amazing sound parents could ever hear; the first cries of a healthy newborn. Flutterbat instantly broke down in tears of joy, I was also crying unexpectedly, the whole birth caught me off surprise.

I grabbed towels and wrapped her skin so she was snuggled to her mother's chest.

A few minutes after the birth Flutterbat gave her to me as she stood up, but she was a bit wobbly and had to lay down.

The baby was still crying intensely as I gave her to Flutterbat, she didn't decide whether to feed her liquid apples or milk. Just to be safe, she brought the baby to her breast as she latched on like it was her life. It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, I could hear her suckle, words couldn't describe how I felt.

She had Flutterbat's hair and skin tone.

Flutterbat looked at me and sighed in content, "She's so beautiful..." Flutterbat nuzzled her nose, while I stroked her short tuft hair.

"What are we going to name her," I said, she latched on to Flutterbat's chest as she closed her eyes and was sleeping soundly.

"With a simple look at her face, she uttered the words. Nadia, our own little Princess Nadia."

After a couple hours news of the unexpected birth reached to all realms and attracted tons of media attention, Flutterbat's mom was upset at the maid's who didn't keep a closer eye on her daughter, but at the end it didn't matter, because we have our...

Apologies for not finishing this chapter soon enough, life has me busy, so yeah this is the birth and after this chapter, there's going to be a new arc, tell me what do you think.
