Without turning to face your commanding officer, you question the reason for your summon. “Why sir?”
The officer stood still near the doorway like a statues of canterlot maze. His head slowly rose high before a quiet voice, barely audible, spoke in a disheartening tone.
“What did you say Private?”
Swallowing what saliva was left in your mouth and throat, you stand firm with Knees and hooves buckled together and your head held high. “I asked why, sir”
An unnerving moment of silence was all that was heard in the room before your commanding officer lazily turned around to see eye to eye. “Because the captain demanded it...” He slowly turned to face the enormous golden doors behind him. The entrance was enveloped in a white aura before the doors threw themselves open with great force, each end hit the marble walls with a loud 'bang' which echoed in the narrow halls. “Now get your flank to his office before I haul it up there myself!” The officer bellowed once again.
Each hoof that impacted the ground made small nicks in the floor. Shortly after, the officer disappeared from view with only closed doors left behind. Gazing back at the beautiful scenery outside the windows, you stand in thought before marching up the castle stairs with a look of concern. The clatter of armor was in the same toon as before as you ascended the steps of gray stone.
You briefly inhale the stale air around, recuperating what stamina you lost during the long hike. The castle was a maze. For a random pony who had no experience walking the halls of canterlot castle, they would be lost within a day, but for a trained soldier such as yourself. It was nothing more than a walk in the middle of canterlot square. You faced the east side of the castle and stare at the closed opening that revealed itself.
Standing tall and intimidation, more so than the large golden monstrosities near the gardens level, was a purple door with silver text which read “Captain Armor” engraved in the flat gold slab that hung above the entrance. You could feel the tension building inside. “the point of no return” some guards would announce when passing the captions office. You remove your helmet as a sign of respect and hold it close to your side. Taking in a deep breath, you exhale out your nostrils before twisting the gold handle on the door.
Behind the door was a large white stallion with a blue mane and a purple shield for a cutie mark. He sat in a small chair, signing off papers that were piled on his desk. You place one hoof in front of you and enter the captain's room. Pictures of what appeared to be the newly deemed princess as a foul decorated the walls. She did not have wings? Only a horn? The shelves were piled with old books and standing frames.
The captain of the royal guards notices your presence, he placed the quill in his magical grip down on the table before cross his hooves on said table.
“Hello Privet!” He said in a jovous and superior tone of voice. “Please. Sit.” He pointed with his hoof at the seat next to you.
