The Rule Of Six

Aires was buried the next morning by Blue. Blue was completely emotionless now, all he wanted to do was kill the enemy. Storm buried his brother next to their parents, wondering how he would tell Spring that he had to kill Nathan. Celestia stood next to Storm, laying her head on him. Rex was trying to clean Aires' blood off of his armor. Hail was sitting with Luna.

"Today we'll charge Everfree castle..." Celestia said, standing up straight. "And we'll win. For Aires, and all the brothers and sisters we've lost to this war..."

"This isn't a war, war's take months, years to complete, this is just one big battle...." Rex said, finally washing the blood off of his armor. Luna hugged Hail as Blue stood up.

"Let's get this over with." He picked up a sword and flew to his battalion.

Abyss flew into a rage.

"What do you mean the rebels sacked Ponyville AND Cloudsdale?!!" He screamed at the guard in front of him.

"S-sir... commander blood is dead...." The guard stuttered out. Abyss sat down in his throne and put a hoof to his head.

"If they can take Ponyville and cloudsdale, they could take this castle....." Abyss said, then, he had a strike of genius.

"Guard, have some of our soldiers join their army. then when they least expect it, have them kill the commanders of the rebel army. They'll flee    without their precious leaders!"

"R-Right away sire."

Storm kissed Celestia, hugging her tightly.

"You come back storm, come back and be with me." She said, looking into his eyes. Storm smiled and nodded.

"New recruits! Looks like deserters!" Rex yelled as the guards ran up and bowed.

"We are tired of Abyss, we wish to be free." They said. storm thought for a moment, then nodded.

"Yes, we can use you."

In Everfree Castle, everypony could hear Spring's howls as her foal was being born. It was a long and grueling experience, but at the end of it, Abyss was smiling at his son. A black stallion with red eyes and a purple mist flowing from his eyes.

"I shall name him Sombra. And he shall be a great ruler! Guard, take him to the crystal empire and have my brother raise him." Despite Spring's protests, they young colt was taken away to another place.

Storm and the other unicorns were running a battering ram into the door of the castle.

"Ready? Heave!" He said, over and over again. The pegasi were flying above the courtyard of the castle, dropping rocks and stones on the guards below as they fought off Abyss's ariel forces. Blue charged the guards, driven by rage. Then Abyss's planted soldier dove down, burying his sword in Blue's back. Storm looked up then his eyes widened as he realized they were assassins. He turned and stabbed the traitor behind him. Storm looked up to see where Blue had fallen. His fellow soldiers had caught him and set him in the rebel camp. Storm looked around and Saw Hail leading a charge through a hole in the castle wall. An arrow was shot and it pierced his neck. Storm's mouth dropped as he ran to his friend.

"Hail! HAIL!" He screamed, grabbing Hail's limp body and carrying him to the camp. Storm was filled with an uncontrollable rage, three of his friends now lay dead, claimed by the battle. He ran back to the battle.

Rex had his spear in his mouth, stabbing and slashing through legions of guards. He panted as he started to tire, but he kept going. He thought of Lightfoot, and how  much it would hurt her if he didn't come home, so he kept fighting. He eventually made it to the Hold's main gate. He started hacking at it with his axe. Storm and dozens of other ponies joined in as they finally knocked down the door.

There were several guards waiting for them and Rex was stabbed in the leg as countless other ponies were mowed down by a line a crossbows. Storm was filled to the brim with rage upon seeing them wound Rex. He rose up on shadows as he took one large stomp. Shadows came from the ground and thrust themselves through the guards, solidifying and killing them. As the other rebels were taking care of Rex, Storm rose up to the throne room. Abyss turned around and put his sword to Spring's neck.

"I'll kill her if you take another step!" He shouted. As he wasn't looking, spring bucked him towards Storm and storm held out his sword, impaling Abyss with it. Black Blood dribbled down Abyss's lip as his eyes widen. He frowned and slowly lifted his sword, stabbing Storm. Spring shouted and Ran to the two, Abyss died like a coward, lying on the floor. Celestia flew in and caught Storm as he fell.

"No Storm! Please don't go!" She Yelled, tears spilling down her face as she held Storm. Storm smiled weakly and put a hoof on celestia's heart.

"Make sure... we're not... forgotten..." Storm uttered his last words and faded away into a peaceful afterlife.
