[3:00pm]

“Delta 39, this is command. Do you have eye’s on the target?”

“Command this is Delta 39, the target has just arrived at the checkpoint. I have no visual.”

“Copy Delta 39, when you see the target, you have permission to engage.”

“Affirmative command, Delta 39. Out”

While searching for the target, that’s protected by a heavily armored convoy, I notice that something didn’t feel quite right. Maybe the Koreans expected something, or I was somehow compromised by them picking up my signal to command when they radioed me.

That didn’t matter though, as I located my target through my high power scope on my rifle. I took aim at the target, the very person that was responsible for the deaths of his own people, and caused mass genocide behind the world's back. As I took aim, Kim Jong Un looked in my general direction with that smudged look on his face that I’ve seen many times in photographs. I aimed for his head, and pulled the trigger.

‘Direct hit’ I thought to myself, as his head seemingly explodes in millions of pieces, as blood and brains splatters on everything that’s near him. As expected, everyone begins to panic, and look for whoever took out their now dead ruler. I started to pack up my rifle as fast as I could, but I suppose I wasn’t fast enough. Considering a round nearly misses my head, gazing my dark green camo hat, followed by an onslaught of shouting and more rounds being fired at me.

I got up, and started running in the opposite direction. I could hear the outraged Koreans behind me, and their bullets nearly hitting me. Lucky for me however, it was that of the vegetated area that I was in that was shielding me from the oncoming bullets, thank you mother nature.

After a while of running, I lost the angered Koreans that were shooting/casing me in this forest. I hid myself in some bushes, while calling in command for a exac.

*Paint* “Command.. This is Delta 39..” *paint* “Target is KIA..” *paint* “Requesting evac.. Enemy is in hot pursuit”

“Delta 39 this is Command, we copy. Sending evac now. Good work Wolf. Command out.”

A few seconds after command hanged up, I received some coordinates to a LZ on my GPS. I looked out from my hiding spot to see if anyone was around, nobody was, but I knew that I had to stay on my toes, if I wanted to get out of here in one piece. I creeped out from the bush that I was hiding in, and cautiously made my way to the LZ. After a few minutes of sneaking around in the dense bush. I made my way to a clearing, where the LZ was marked.

“Command this is Delta 39, I made it to the LZ, where’s my ticket out of here?”

“Copy Delta 39, we’re sending in the chopper, hang tight.”

“Just hurry up, alright?”

“Copy.”

After what felt like an eternity of waiting, I saw the evacuation chopper head to the LZ. I could see that it was as high as possible to avoid enemy detection from ground troops that were searching for me, but also keep at a low attitude to make a quick decedent to pick me up. As the chopper was getting closer, I hear a couple of footsteps and chatter from what I assume are enemy troops closing in.

Sure enough, a couple of Korean scouts emerged from the bushes and looked around while talking. I knew if I didn’t do something, they would see the chopper and alert everyone else that were hunting me down. I took aim at them from a dug out that I found and took cover in, while waiting for my ride home. I took aim at the first scout, that was away from his three other soldiers, must have been a loner like myself, I squeezed on the trigger of my rifle, ready to fire, when all of a sudden one of the scouts started to shout. I looked over to him via my scope to see that he and his partners were aiming at the sky, firing at the evac chopper.

“Delta 39, this is evac. We’re taking fire from enemy troops, and have a visual on reinforcements closing in, you better move your ass if you want a ride out here!” shouted the pilot as he maneuvered his chopper to avoid enemy gunfire.

“Copy that, drop down and provide covering fire if possible.”

I didn’t hear the pilot's response, because as soon as I stopped giving my own set of orders, I hauled ass to the now descending chopper, lucky for me that those scouts from before took cover and gave me a chance to make a break for it. As I approached the half descended chopper, I pulled out my M1911and shot into the bushes to keep the enemy at a distance, or to take out any enemy scouts if my shots were lucky enough to make contact.

It wasn’t long before the evac chopper touched down behind me and a gunner behind a mounted machine gun started to provide covering fire for me like I ordered. I quickly got onto the chopper, and it immediately lifted off, catching me off guard a bit while trying to take a seat in one of the seats that the chopper has. I sat down and took a quick breath, I could hear the clicking and banging of metal being hit by bullets as we flew off, but I was relieved that those bullets were hitting the metal chopper and not my bare flesh. I looked over to the gunner that was now looking at me with relief and a sense of pride.

“Good work out there Wolf, mission complete.” He congratulated me while giving me a pat on the shoulder.

“We’re not out of the woods yet corporal, we’ll throw a party if we get out of here in one piece.”

I said to him while giving a slight chuckle. His prideful/happy look was whipped off his face when I said that, but I knew that there was a chance that we could get shot down at any given moment.

“Hey kid, have faith in our pilot, he was trained to avoid that kind of stuff, and our chopper has flares that could throw off missiles”

I said to the corporal, trying to give him hope, while at the same time putting pressure on the pilot to get us out of here in one piece by putting him on the spot. It seemed to work, as the corporal gave me a reassuring look and a nod to my point. However, a red flash began to appear on the pilot's console, followed by a beeping sound.

“Missiles closing in! Hang on you two!”

The pilot shouted, before jerking the helicopter hard to the right, nearly taking me out of my seat. The chopper then began to shift to the left, nearly taking the corporal out of his seat. In a quick instance, I could see through one of the helicopters windows that an enemy chopper was hot on our tails. Time seemed to slow down, as the enemy chopper fired another missile at us. I watched at it got closer, and before I knew it, I was thrown from my seat from an explosion, followed by the chopper spinning out of controllable, it was clear that we were hit. As the whole world spun, I could hear the pilot shouting in his headset.

“MAYDAY! MAYDAY!! THIS IS EVAC CHOPPER ALPHA 9! WE’RE HIT AND GOING DOWN!!”

With the heavy breathing/panic of the gunner that was with me. I strapped myself into a seat, and quietly prayed. I was never a true believer, but people tend to pray for a miracle in situations that they’re most likely gonna be killed in. I only hope that either I’m spared, or I’m given a painless/quick death. I opened my eyes after finishing my quick prayer, and made my quick glance around at the chaotic scene.

That however was interrupted by a thunderous crash of metal bending/twisting/breaking, and everything around me seemingly being annihilated in a heap of debris. As everything seemed to be happening so quickly, a piece of metal hit me in the head, and I blacked out. So much for a painless death.
