Chapter 3: The unexpected greetings

Previous Chapter

David and the mysterious human stare at each other with a confusing look. None of them knows what was going on, how was there another human in another planet that is not earth. The mares, on the other hand, also trying to figure out what was happening between the two humans. They both look away from the two humans who was still eyeing each other.

"What are they doing?", Rainbow said.

"I don't know. But I assume it's something related to humans that David didn't tell us.", Twilight replied. They look back at the two and surprisingly, still looking.

"We need to end this before it gets too creepy and weird."

Twilight nodded at Rainbow's statement. She walk over to David and nudged him and for some odd reasons, it knocked him out from what he was doing.

"This can't be happening...", David said quietly in a disbelief tone.

"What do you mean this can't be happening? That is a human standing in front of you right now. Maybe he's in the same situation as you right now. You can ask him for help since you two are the same species.", Twilight told him.

David look back at the other human and questions began to flood his mind. What if this person doesn't understand him? What if he kills them overnight? Negative questions fill his curious mind. He finally takes a deep breath and slowly walk over to the other human.

"Hello? Can you understand me? Do you speak English? If so, then can you tell us where are we?", David immediately throws questions at the poor, confused human, hoping that he answers with the language that he speaks.

"Yes.", the other human answered awkwardly. He makes his voice sounds like David and the mares were threats to him.

David, on the other hand, tried not to notice it too much, "Oh thank what ever magic it is to make you speak English! What a god-sent! Can you help us out of this awful mess we are currently in?", he plays along with his attitude for no suspicion.

He didn't answer David. But instead he moved his hand upwards to his face. With his index finger, he quietly picked his nose. After a short five seconds of picking his nose, he finally stopped and turned back to the others, who were looking at him with a disgusted face.

"Why should I?", he simply answered.

David thought to himself, 'That's a strange and short answer.', "Because... we are the same kind and we desperately need your help and maybe we'll give you a free ticket back  to planet Earth?", David answered, trying to persuade him.

Silence fill the room once again. David was standing there, waiting for his answer and to David's surprise, he turned around and walked back to the room he came out from.

"Uh... is that a yes or a no? Can somebody tell?", Rainbow was unsure of the answer.

Moments later, he came back with a bag and it looks like it was filled with things. The other three did not know what was inside. But the only thing they could do was look inside it.

'Please don't blow up in my face, please don't blow up in my face!', David thought to himself as he slowly open the bag. What was inside the bag totally made him completely confuse. He saw what looks like fluffy, white sheet.

Surprise, surprise. It was totally a blanket.

"What in the world is a blanket doing here? How did you get this here? And what kind of planet are we living on? This sure doesn't look like Earth.", he asked.

"Do I look like an answer to you?", the man in the white robes backfires David. He kept his mouth shut after hearing that, "No? Then keep what ever you are having and find somewhere to sleep. The sun is down and all I want is quietness. I don't want you or your animals going into my room. Or else.", he then proceeded to go back to the room he came out from and slide the door shut.

David and the mares were utterly shocked. One of the two mares slowly backing up to the door, not trusting the mysterious man who looks like he wanted to murder them all.

"David? I don't think staying here is a good idea. We should find somewhere else to rest for the night.", Twilight hinted David to show that she was fearing the other human in the house.

"Hey, what could possibly go wrong? If we keep our noses away of his things then we'll be in good shape, I think.", David, on the other hand, was also unsure if he could trust this guy. But he decided not to worry about it too much.

A couple of moments later, David found a place where he thinks he and the mares could stay for the night, the basement. It wasn't the most ideal place he could have find in the house but it was good enough for them to stay. The room was dark, the only light source in it was a lit candle. The floor, surprisingly, was clean. They didn't know what the mysterious person did to kept this abandoned looking place clean but they didn't dare to ask.

"Alright, let's stay here for the night. I'll go talk to him.", David said. He looks like he forgot what the other human said to him.

"Uh hello? Are you out of your mind? Didn't you hear what he said earlier? He's going to basically kill you if you try to speak to him!", Twilight exclaimed.

"Well... that could totally happen. But who knows? If any of you two hear my ridiculous British scream, leg it out of here.", David said while sucking up all of his courage and goes up the stairs. He hoped to god that person still got a little bit of humanity for him not to kill David.

David went up the stairs, the sun was nowhere to be seen. It was pitch black outside, "That doesn't look promising. I guess the sun sets earlier here than on Earth.", he mumbles to himself, "Now where is the lad that wanted me dead if I looked at hi-"

Pitchblack. He was knocked out again.

Somewhere in David's mind...

"Bloody hell... Why does everyone wants me dead?", he said while slowly gets up, rubbing the back of his head.

"Hello again, David.", A voice came from behind, it was his angel look-a-like friend who called him, Cassiel.

"Hello, love. Did you see what happened back there? Who wallop me in the back of my skull?"

"Before I could answer your question, I should ask where have you been for last two days?", she asked with a warm smile.

David, who was totally not in the mood to answer anything, was trying to remember what he did in the last two days.

"I can't recall after that brutal knock out. But I remembered that I got here a day ago."

Cassiel chuckles for a little bit and said, "That should be quite enough. Now allow me to answer your question. The one who happens to knock you unconscious was the one who you greeted today."

David was surprise that it was him. He would have guessed him in the first place, "Bollocks... speaking of which... Are my lads doing alright back in Equestria?"

"Who?"

"Thomas and Charles?"

"Those two? They're furious after the stunt from one of your friends."

David pause for awhile before let out a laugh, "Oh goodness,", he said while catching his breath, "I feel awful for them. Could you send them my regards?"

Cassiel chuckles and waved her hands, "I will."

Swoosh... David was gone.
