Fluttershy

Fluttershy was taking a walk through the Everfree Forest on Nightmare Night with Discord.  And since it was Nightmare Night, tons of scary goings-on were happening in Ponyville.  Fluttershy hated Nightmare Night; it was too scary for her.  So she phoned Discord up and asked him if he would like to take a relaxing stroll through the Forest.  Discord obliged.

So he met Fluttershy near the entrance of the Everfree Forest and started walking.  Along the way, they chatted of familiar things.  Among them were about why Fluttershy hates Nightmare Night, what made Discord like chaos so much, and how it was working with Lord Tirek.

Unfortunately, Fluttershy didn’t look where she was going, and she bumped in front of the most vicious creature in Equestria.  It was a hydra-cockatrice-manticore hybrid!  That creature was more dangerous than Discord, and so Fluttershy had no help at all.  She screamed at the top of her lungs, but she was so far into the Forest that none of her PFFs (Pony Friends Forever) heard her.  Just then, unexpectedly, the creature started attacking Fluttershy!  Discord used his powers to try and save his friend, but failed.

After the attack, Fluttershy was mortally wounded.  Luckily, Discord found that he had some leftover power.  And fortunately for Fluttershy, they were medical powers.  Unfortunately, however, the powers were not enough to completely heal Fluttershy.  So as a result, Fluttershy died just half an hour after the creature massacre.

The date of her death was October 31, 1999, and her age was 16 years old.  Her body was buried in the very spot where the massacre took place.
