A Kaiser's Rule: The Warg of the Badlands

When the reversed shield spell ended up saving the day of Canterlot there was a lot of relief for the ponies. However there is a dark power who is now performing a ritual that will end up biting Celestia in the cake-loving flank. Queen Chrysalis reared a perfect ruler. One who was cunning, and had stratagem. It was in these times the first Warg was ascended. All hail the Emerald Flame, all hail the Kaiser!

Emerald Flame was no novice to scrying magic, despite his mother's best effort to keep his paws out of every spell book, he managed to take on magic using his eyes as a foci. His name comes from the fact when he uses any magic, his eyes become green flames. He was in his study in the badlands when he saw his mother soaking in the victory. There will be plenty to eat for his brothers and sisters. Though they were not of blood, he could still relate to them as he used their magic and cared for the sick and wounded. There was pink spark, then another, then a shield slammed into to his mother and full speed and rammed her away, full force. At that speed, he calculated that his mother wouldn't survive the trip down. He adjusted the scrying to focus on her life-force instead of her magic. He saw a 200 foot drop and his mother falling. He closed the scrying orb immediately.

"Guards!" he barked at door.

Two armored changelings burst in full battle gear.

"My mother... she has failed. She is dead."

The changlings' jaws dropped. Their queen failed, she left them to starve.

Then a sudden metamorphosis overcame the Prince Emerald Flame. His rust colored fur turning to a deep black, his dark green eyes, turning into a dark green flame in his sockets. Finally, a crown of blackened iron appeared around his canine head, and adjusted to it.

The changlings knew what this meant but Emerald Flame was confused.

"Your highness, I think you were just crowned..." the armored changeling on the left said.

"Crowned?", Emerald Flame asked, "As what?"

As whatever title you deem fit, my former prince

Emerald Flame frowned. This wasn't the first time the hive mind spoke to him, but it was the first time it has used his mother's voice.

My son, you are in charge now, you will lead our people to greatness... do me proud... my son.

With that the connection cut, and he knew what happened. He was the now leader of the changelings. He had become closer to them, and they to him.

"Sir, what title do you claim?" the changeling on the right said

"Kaiser" Emerald Flame said without a second thought.

"All hail the Emerald Flame! All hail the Kaiser!" the changelings cried out in the hive mind.

"What are your orders, Great Kaiser?" Both changelings said.

"Prepare for war." said Kaiser Emerald Flame
