Before Celestia and Luna, there was Grey Skies.

Grey Skies was born as a bat pony and lived much like you would expect waking at the very first signs of darkness and sleeping with the first rays of sunlight. Grey Skies would ultimately become a creature that had never been seen in equestria before.
