Prologe the shoes

Hi there whoever finds this tale you should know this: I had fun and the life I lived was good. This is the story of how I saved the whole of Equis.  My name is Ayumi Dimitri Dno'ove and I'm writing this and sending it out into the Void for anyone to read. Hoping against hope that it might reach earth in some way. I still remember what started my journey and the bitch who dropped me here but that's another tale for a different person to tell. This one is mine and this is how it began.

It started with a pair of shoes. When I lived on earth I was a 19 year old genius scientist studying magic theory and the multiverse. I had just published my latest paper that talked about the link between the two when I got word of a Costume Only Gaming/science convention that had a couple of presenters that were talking about how Video games might be windows to other parts of the multiverse.

Naturally, being an avid gamer and hearing that there would be people talking about one of my fields of study I decided to attend. But since it was Costume Only I needed to finish my costume of the girl who had my first name, Ayumi, of X blades and blades of time.

I had made or bought everything needed for Ayumi's base X blades costume and all that was left was the shoes that she wore in that game. I even modded the sheaths that she had in Blades of Time so I could put the gunblades away when I didn't want to hold them. But I couldn't find those damn shoes I had been searching on and off for the past three years, and by the time I had heard of the con I only had 6 months before it would occure and that was when I had just started looking again.

Knowing I now had a time limit I started searching  the internet with a fine tooth comb. But after three months of no results trying to find them pre-made I then looked into getting them manufactured from multiple companies but again after 2 and a halve months no dice. All I would get in response to my inquires was "the item would be impossible to make" or "the shoes wouldn't be wearable" and things like that. So in desperation I went to the company that made the game but after they stonewalled me with paperwork and other measures for the last two weeks prior to the con, they let me know the night before I left that they couldn't help me either.

So there I was at a Costume Only con wearing a bikini top, thong leg armor, a backpack, hand made gloves that matched the game, a henna stomach tattoo that matched Ayumi's, and two gunblades in a behind the back X shaped sheath, but all I could think about was the fact that I was wearing sneakers instead of the shoes that completed the outfit.

As I walked towards the presenter hall something flickering and blue caught my eye. the blue thing was actually the fire of a torch and the guy that had set it up was a spot on Resident Evil 4 merchant except for the eyes. The in game merchants had glowing red eyes but this guys eyes were glowing a bright blue that was similar to the fire of his torches.

As I approached he said "Welcome stranger." Man even his voice was spot on so what was with the blue eyes. "got some rare and unique things for sale some you can't get anywhere else."

As he said that I spotted them. A pair of those shoes. The same shoes I had obsessed over for 6 months. But as I when to reach for them to see if they were my size the guy threw a suitcase at me and said.

"Catch. everything you need is inside including a pair of those shoes. Have fun." And a blast of blue energy came from the case and knocked me out.

After tossing the case to the girl the merchant's blue eyes fade back to their normal red. As she heads out of the con she thinks "you better have a good fucking reason Twi cause I just sent you the equivalent of Celestia and Luna and a few others combined into one." and the merchant smiled "I guess I should go see what Leon is doing." And with that she faded into the void.
