What Lurks in the Shadows

After defeating the Dazzlings the mane six Sunset, Pinkie, Dash, Rarity, AJ, and Fluttershy where walking to school on a peaceful cool spring morning laughing and talking, as friends do. The day was nice and seemed calm and quiet like it would be a nice day. They where Pinkie looked up at the crystal blue sky only to see a strange black cloud with unworldly blue markings appear out of no where. Hovering over Canterlot High.

" Is that a storm cloud, Is it gonna rain, will it be chocolate!!!" The perky pink girl froze and imagined creamy liquid chocolate falling from the sky.

" Sugar cue, one question at a time." Apple Jack says with her usual county flare.

" Apple jacks right dear," Rarity added with sophistication "plus chocolate rain, in our hair!"

Rarity shivers at the idea. Sunset Shimmer laughs at her friends random comments, then looks back up to the cloud

"seriously though I don't think that's a normal cloud, and it or what made it might not be friendly."

" Well lets go check it out!" With that the crimson eyed athlete rushed toward Canterlot High campus leaving her friends in the dust. When they all got there the cloud was gone and only clear skies and sunshine where in the skies,but on campus there three unusual people. A young boy with dirty blonde hair about their age maybe a bit older clothed in a green tunic with chain mail under neath and a strange hat , a beautiful brunette probably the same age as the boy wearing a ball gown. Her hair was she had on a gold tiara with beautiful sapphires in it , and a strange imp creature with orange hair, red and gold eyes, a strange stone helmet with the somewhat close to the same markings as the cloud and black and blue skin.

Pinkie walks over to the new comers gasps then runs back to her friends "I don't know them and I know every one and every one knows me and they don't know me witch means their new and..." Pinkie takes a deep breath " we need to through a welcome party!"

They all laugh at their crazy friend.

"Pinkie, breathe, or you're gonna die." Rainbow says in between laughs.

Just then the boy and the Imp start to argue."So we can't get back!?" The boy yells anger and fear dripping from his tone

"I don't know... I might be able to figure something out." The imp says back.

Then the boy starts to yell " MIGHT! What are we gonna do in the mean time let Gannon destroy Hyrule!?"

He hides his face in his hands and mumbles something. Then a young girl with curly brown hair walks by the two a smile spreading across her face as she dose "SHIP IT!"She shouts pointing at the imp and the boy. The two pause ,

" How can there be a ship without water? " The suddenly confused imp says.

Pinkie answers her question like it was obvious"DUH ship is short for relationship couple love DATE!"

The twos faces flush pure red... "Oh." The boy says looking over at his friend.

Sunset Shimmer gains the courage to ask them "what are your all's names?"

The boy says in reply " I'm Link the imp is Midna and the girl over there is Zelda."

Zelda waves "Who might you all be?"

Rarity says kindly in reply "The girl in the corner with the soft pink hair is Fluttershy, the girl in the leather jacket is Sunset Shimmer, A.J is the one in the hat with the horrible style, Rainbow Dash of course is the one with the rainbow hair, Pinkie was the one who gasped at you, and I, am Rarity." She flips her dark purple hair and it glistens in the sunlight. Rainbow rushes over to them shoving Rarity out of the way "OH! Well I'd NEVER!!!" She shouts fuming.

"So are you three new here at Canterlot High? Do you play any sports?" Dash asks

The three look at her with confusion " Canterlot High?" Link says slowly trying to understand.

"You guys sound like you've never heard of a school before!" Dash says laughing.

The curly haired girl walks by again "That's cause they haven't. And I have the perfect name for you two LIDNA!" She shouts pointing at Link and Minna once more. Rainbow quickly drags her away wanting nothing more to do with her.

"Sorry that's Emma, I thought we agreed no shipping on campus."

"Oh so its a school, like the Knights Academy in Hyrule?" Link said sounding like he had just got a math problem.

"... Yah sure, lets just get you guys signed up." Sunset says heading to the doors.

"STOP!" Rarity calls guarding the entrance to Canterlot High.

  "What?" Dash asks. "You are NOT going into Canterlot High looking like THAT! It it it'll be a disgrace!"

" I think our clothes are-"Link was cut off by Rarity

"Awful, I know dear I'll fix that" Rarity hauls all three into the girls bathroom.

The last thing they heard of Link was "WAIT I"M A BO-" Then the door closed cutting off his sentence. The other girls laughed a little at what he had said and all knew Rarity didn't care.

The next time they saw him he was still wearing green but he was wearing a t-shirt with a green jacket. Zelda had on a soft pink sundress with a lime jacket and a blue headband, and Midna had on a black blue and white hooey with black leggings.

" There perfect" Rarity says proudly admiring her wonderful work.

"Now time to go get you three registered!" Dash says happily.

"Can we enter now?" Link asks looking directly at Rarity.

"Of course darling what would stop you" Rarity beams.

The new friends laugh then enter Canterlot High proudly.
