What Lurks in the Shadows

The ten new friends walk into Canterlot High happily and proudly.

"So lets get you guys registered" Rainbow says. They all head to Principal Celestias office but when they open the door a young girl with white hair purple eyes and a purple and gold star hair pin.

  "What do you mean the magic clubs full" she shouts.

"What I mean is the magic clubs full." Celestia says.

"Well then kick someone out!"

"I can't do that Trixie." "Your the Principal for pete's sake," she cries,

"You can do anything!" She spins around on her heel a furry and almost runs in to Link.

"Or... I could just be in any club he's in." She says in pointing to Link.

"Club?" Link asks half confused about the club and half about Trixie

"Oh um they're new here" Fluttershy says. Emma then leaps in front of Link spreading her arms out.

"Back off Trixie" She spits

"he belongs with the blue girl!" Trixie and Emma seem to be having a staring contest but in a few seconds Trixie holds up her hands in defeat

"Fine." On her way out she shoves Fluttershy

"Oh no she didn't!" Pinkie yells trying to chase after her but Das and Sunset hold her back.

"So girls what can I help you with?" Celestia asks smoothing out the papers on her desk to calm down.

"These three are new here, they need to be registered." Sunset says smiling as the others shove Link, Zelda, and Midna to the front of the group. In a few minutes the ten where gathering in the halls comparing schedules to see who had classes with who.

The final bell rings and the school campus floods with kids. The friends all meet up at the Wonder Colts statue in the center

"Whew! I never thought sitting in a chair all day would be so tiring!" Link says. Everyone laugh at his comment,

"Well ya better get used to it. Cause' this is what its like every single day for three more months." They all laughs again.

"So um... where are the three of us going to stay?" Zelda asks nervously.

"All ready ahead of you sister!" Pinkie calls

"Sleepover at my place!" The ten headed over to Sugar Cube Corner for an obviously interesting sleepover at Pinkies. They all where doing their own things Link ,Midna, Rainbow, AJ, and Pinkie Pie where playing Mario Cart, Zelda, and Rarity where painting their nails, Fluttershy and Sunset Shimmer where writing a song for the Rainbooms and Emma was assigning beds which probably was a bad idea,

"Okay let me see I'll go here Fluttershy can go there, Rarity there and AJ by her *cough Rarity-Jack cough* Sunset Shimmer there Dash you can go by the window, Pinkie gets her bed and... Oh no! It seems like we only have one bed left! Oh well link, Midna you'll have to share. Oh Zelda you can go there." Link and Midna glare at her obviously knowing what she was doing as Pinkie winks before leaving. Pinkie then brings in a batch of fresh cupcakes still steaming.

"Who wants cupcakes?" She asked.

Emma and the main six simultaneously yell "NO!" Pinkie looks around,

"Link?"

Link responds his mind still on the game and its strange magic controls,"Nah, I'm fine."

"Zelda?"

"No thank you I'm not very hungry."

"Midna?" "Yah sure I'll have one."

She takes one of the steaming treats and bites in to it.

"Just so you know.." Emma whispers making sure Pinkie doesn't hear "Pinkie makes her cupcakes from peoples organs." Midna quickly spits it out

"Are you serious! Eww! And you don't call the guards on her!?" Pinkie looks over at her

"Whats wrong? Is it not good?" Midna franticly tries to find an excuse for the reaction, "U-Um yah everything's fine. Its just... um... sweeter than I expected." "Oh okay!" Pinkie skips away happily Later she throws away the cupcake and will be sure to never eat one of her cupcakes again.

In Hyrule Gannon was lost deep in his thoughts. Link and Midna had defeated Zant and where supposed to be coming after him next. But, they haven't. Its been a day and there was no sign of them except for a sent that disappears in the middle of Hyrule field. Princess Zelda had disappeared as well. Gannondorf was in a daze till a loud banging on the door broke his concentration. Gannon yells through the door irritated

"I thought I told you people not to interrupt me when I'm thinking! Leave now and I'll spare your miserable life!" Silence. Gannon assumed that the intruder fled for their life as manny do, but a minute later the banging started back up. Gannondorf grabbed his sword and opened the door prepared to end the intruders life, but what he saw shocked him. It was a man who liked like Link but dark black, like a shadow. The only part on him that wasn't black was his blood red peircing eyes. In in instant the intruder drove his sword through Gannon's chest. Before he Gannondorf died he croaked out the words

"W-who are you... What do you want?" the man leaned down close to Gannon's face his voice resembled that of Links but with an evil twist, something to it made your hair stand on end,

"I want the same thing you want. Ultimate power!" The man raises his blade and brings it down on Gannon's throat decapitating The King of Thieves.

"Oh, and my name almost forgot, I like to be called Dark Link." he smirks as a soft glow radiates around Gannondorf and then quickly transfers to him, settling on his right hand and taking the form of a triangle.

"The first piece, Soon I'll have them all" He laughs with glee. "I'm coming for you, brother, you can't hide."
