“A slumber party?” standing outside of Fluttershy’s home was none other than Pinkie Pie, a specially marked invite in her hands. On it were pink butterflies spelling out the name of the person it was intended for.

“Ahuh, after our last adventure I figure we could use a party to unload.” Fluttershy smiled as she took the invitation. Opening it caused several other butterflies to pop out of the card along with the words ‘see you there!’. she giggled, the amount of effort Pinkie put into every aspect of her parties were amazing to say the least.

“I guess it would be nice to party with the others.”

“No others, just us.” Pinkie said waving her finger. Fluttershy looked up at Pinkie and tilted her head, she’d never known her to throw a party without inviting the whole gang. Well there was one time, but everyone prefers not to talk about that. “I tried to get the others but their schedules are all over the place. So I had a super idea, rather than wait for everyone to have free time, I’d throw a nice little one on one party!”

“Oh dear…” Fluttershy bit her bottom lip, the signs of her being capable of enjoying the party seeming to vanish as quickly as it arose.

“What’s wrong?” Pinkie asked with a frown.

“D-don’t take this the wrong way Pinkie, it’s just.” Fluttershy paused for a moment, rubbing her shoulder slightly. “I love hanging out with you and I love your parties. But without the others I’m not sure I can handle one of your parties alone.” Pinkie stared at Fluttershy for a moment, the meek woman fearing that she’d offended her in some way. Only for that feeling to quell the moment Pinkie started to giggle.

“Yeah I guess I can overdo it sometimes.” Pinkie said casting an arm around Fluttershy’s shoulder. “How’s this sound, for tonight I promise to tone it down halfway, nothing too fancy, just a nice little slumber party between two friends.” Pinkie could see the interest returning to Fluttershy, she just needed a little more convincing.

“What would you think if I also promised stuffed animals and sweets in my party room basement?” Fluttershy stared back at Pinkie for a few seconds, a small giggle escaping from her mouth.

“Out of context, I’d think I’d need an adult.” With a wide grin Pinkie pulled Fluttershy closer and placed her thumb to her chest.

“I am an adult!” she said proudly. This only served to make Fluttershy giggle a little more, Pinkie was without a doubt one of the most innocent people she knows.

“You really want me to go don’t you?” she asked.

“Well duh!” said Pinkie “Out of all our friends you’re the one who gets the most out of her comfort zone when we go on this dangerous adventures.” Removing her hand from Fluttershy’s shoulders Pinkie placed them to the sides of her face. “If anyone deserves a night where they can just lay back and feel good it’s you. And I want to be the one to provide that, I promise you won’t regret it.” Fluttershy couldn’t suppress her smile, it was nice to know she had good friends.

“I guess it couldn’t hurt.” She said with a shrug. Pinkie grinned ear to ear and pulled Fluttershy in for a hug.

“It’ll be the exact opposite, it’ll be the best feeling in the world, I Pinkie promise you that!” after a few seconds of spine crushing hugs Pinkie finally let go of Fluttershy.

“I still have to take care of a few things first, so I’ll come by in maybe an hour?”

“That’s sounds perfect, I’ll see you then.” Said Pinkie with a wave as she began her walk back to town. After walking for several feet Pinkie stopped, turning to the side to see that Fluttershy had closed her door. A smirk spread across her lips, the invitation was set, now she could move on to the next phase of her plan. With hands held together behind her back Pinkie continued her way towards town.

“Next stop, Ponyville spa.”

The only spa in town was modest to say the least, a place where people can go in to relax and not break their banks. As such it would see dozens of guests a day, each leaving the front door and leaving all their worries behind. But there are times when they would find their slow period, and that was happening now. Standing behind the desk, a magazine in her hands, was one of the owners, Aloe. Though she loved her job she did also enjoy having some down time, a nice break from having to massage other people all day.

As the bell chimed signaling a new customer, Aloe looked up from her magazine and smiled. “Ah Ms. Pie, a pleasure to see you!” she greeted, Pinkie gave the spa twin a friendly wave as she walked up to the counter.

“Hello Aloe, slow day huh?”

“Yes, but I’m sure it won’t last long. So what would you like today, being the only one here I could offer you a generous discount.” She offered.

“Tempting, but I’m not here for a massage.” Said Pinkie “I’m actually looking for some massage lotion.” Though disappointed for her offer to be turned town, Aloe was more than happy to supply Pinkie with her lotion needs.

“You’re in luck Ms. Pie,” she said turning to the cabinets behind her. “We just got a shipment of cocoa butter lotion, a favorite around Equestria.” She looked to Pinkie who simply shook her head. “Well then how about my personal favorite, arctic chill mint?” again Pinkie shook her head, the same response coming with any other choice Aloe tried to recommend. Pouting her lips at this tough customer, Aloe leaned back on the cabinet and stared.

“Well then Ms. Pie, what exactly are you looking for?” Aloe noticed Pinkie’s eyes shift left and right, soon followed by a finger beckoning her to come closer. Aloe was confused as first but did so, leaning in closer to Pinkie’s covered mouth.

“I’m looking for something a little…under the table.” Aloe’s eyes went wide as she leaned back. She stared at Pinkie for a little while longer in silence, only for her look of surprise to be replace with a lusty grin.

“Goodness Ms. Pie, are you implying what I think you are?” Pinkie mimicked the grin Aloe was feeding her, leaning in closer to her.

“Maybe I am.” Placing her hands below her chin Pinkie continued the staring contest. “Is there a problem?” she asked.

“None at all, I always knew there was another side to you, glad to see I was right.” Placing her hand to the side of her mouth Aloe called out “Lotus can you watch the counter, I need to take care of something.” Without waiting for a reply Aloe opened the door for the counter and motioned Pinkie to follow her. The two made their way towards the back of the room, directly towards the V.I.P section. At the door Aloe placed her hand on the knob and turned to face Pinkie.

“Before we continue I feel I should say. What is seen behind this room as well as its contents are a sensitive issue, not many know of it. I trust you understand that this cannot be shared with the wrong people?”

“Trust me, keeping secrets if what I’m good at.” Satisfied with that answer Aloe unlocked the door and the two stepped inside. As Aloe said there were no signs of life inside, though the hall they now walked down was accompanied by several numbered doors. The two quickly walked past them and towards the last door at the very end.

“Here we are.” Said Aloe as she opened the door. Inside it appeared to be stocked with the same lotion found in any other spa. But when inspected closer one would find that there was a little more to it for these selections. When Aloe reached the counter she slowly sat down on it, casting one of her legs over the others.

“Now then I’ll ask again, what exactly are you looking for Ms. Pie?”

“I have a friend coming over, and let’s say I’m looking to help her relax. I’m looking for something that can help her do that. Not something to lower her inhibitions, but maybe to help bring out the part of her she keeps bottled up?” Aloe placed a finger to her chin as she looked around her selections.

“I suppose a name is out of the question?” Pinkie simply shrugged, much as she wanted to help Fluttershy, she still wanted to make sure no one else knew what she was going to do. Aloe showed some disappointment in Pinkie’s unwillingness to talk, but she shrugged it off. “Very well, I do have a selection you might find interesting.” Sliding down from the desk Aloe walked up to one of the lotions, giving it a quick toss over to Pinkie. She looked it over for several seconds before smiling.

“Perfect, what do I owe you?” Pinkie was prepared to pull out her wallet, but was stopped by Aloe.

“We don’t take money for these,” she informed her. “It works as more of a barter system. What we ask for return is simple, a small survey of your experience, in explicit detail. For you I’ll allow that the other partner remain anonymous.” Aloe stepped closet to Pinkie until the two were inches apart. “We also require a single favor to be repaid at a later day.” She leaned in closer, her lips inches from Pinkies ear.

“Do you agree to these terms?” Pinkie didn’t miss a beat at Aloe’s advance. Raising her own finger under Aloe’s chin she moved the spa woman’s head so that they could be at eye level again.

“You’ve got yourself a deal.”

The sun was close to setting, the stars that would lighten the soon to be night sky could be seen through the glowing twilight. Fluttershy couldn’t help but look up at them as she walked through town, she’d always found this time of day to be the most beautiful. The roads were mostly empty, many people already making their ways back home. But Fluttershy wasn’t heading home herself, in fact she had just left hers. Right now it was Pinkie’s home she’d gone to thanks to the promise of a relaxing night.

In one hand she carried a change of clothes and her pajamas, in the other she brought her own sleeping bag. She’d thought to bring something else, but when it came down to one of Pinkie’s parties, chances are anything you could bring was already there. Soon she reached the door to Sugar Cube Corner. The shop was still open at this time, as such Fluttershy simply needed to push on the door. As the bell chimed Fluttershy could hear the rapid steps growing closer to her, all she could really do was brace herself.

“Yay you came!” said Pinkie as she tackled Fluttershy to the ground, both letting out a small giggle as they landed. “Well I knew you would, but now I know know you’d come.” Both on the floor Pinkie looked down on Fluttershy, her long light pink hair cast ever so slightly over her face. Pinkie couldn’t deny it, Fluttershy had a natural talent when it came to looking adorable.

“I’m happy that you’re happy, Pinkie, but I don’t think we can have a party while we’re on the floor.” Pinkie looked at Fluttershy for a few seconds then arched a brow.

“Bet you I can.” There and then Fluttershy knew that Pinkie would in fact find a way to accomplish this. But at the moment she wasn’t really willing to find out how first hand, maybe another time.

“You did make a promise Pinkie…” at the mention of her promise Pinkie shot up from Fluttershy and stood straight up. Now that Pinkie was standing, Fluttershy could see the pajamas, a modest yellow blouse with a pink hear along with pink pants that had yellow and blue balloons designed into them.

“You’re right, you’re right, sorry.” She said giving Fluttershy a helping hand off the ground. “I remember my promise, and I’ve prepared everything for it. How about you get changed and we’ll both go down into the party room together?” Fluttershy nodded with a smile, quickly making her way towards the bathroom to change. Once Fluttershy closed the door behind her, Pinkie grinned, reaching into her pocket and pulling out the lotion she’d gotten from Aloe earlier today.

“I remember my promise alright,” she said looking down at the bottle “And I intend to keep it.” Pinkie didn’t have to wait long for Fluttershy to exit the bathroom, now dawning her matching yellow pajamas with pink butterflies. Though the top seemed to be slightly big on her as a portion of it slid off her shoulder. Had it been anyone else Pinkie would have seen it as a sign, but this was Fluttershy after all. “Ready to have the best night of your life?” Pinkie asked with arms crossed.

“I guess so.” Said Fluttershy removing a strand of her hair from her face.

“Then follow me!” Fluttershy did as she was asked, following Pinkie to her room. Though Pinkie had promised to cut down on her party planning this time around, Fluttershy did have some expectations. But she was was surprised to see that none of them were met, now standing in Pinkie’s room Fluttershy saw that there was nothing different about it at all. Not that she was complaining, but still she found herself wondering what happened to the things Pinkie had promised.

“Oh well, I can still have fun this-“

“Are you coming?” Fluttershy blinked, looking at Pinkie as she saw the floor open next to her feet. It was the slide that lead to her part planning room, she wondered, were they really going down there?

“Um, sure, I guess.” Said Fluttershy as she walked up to her, Pinkie helped Fluttershy sit down close to the slide, the woman still wondering what to expect now. She was prepared to slide down, but was stopped when she felt a set of arms wrap around her stomach. Turning her head she saw Pinkie was holding her close, pressing against her back.

“Ready?” Fluttershy nodded, then Pinkie pushed off the floor. The two of them then began to slide down. Her memory of the last time she’d been down there had come back, while Pinkie’s party planning room had several things that a party should have. The truth is the whole environment wasn’t exactly party friendly. The two were reaching the end of the slide, Fluttershy bracing herself for when it was over. Just like last time they flew off the slide for a few feet, however this time the landing was different.

Just as she hit the ground Fluttershy wasn’t just surprised to feel a soft landing, but that she began to bounce. Having let go both she and Pinkie began to bounce about the soft surface, the latter going into a giggling fit. Finally the bouncing stopped, and Fluttershy found herself laying face first on the ground. “Tadda!” she heard Pinkie call out, taking this as some sort of cue Fluttershy raised her head from the soft surface. And what she saw had her completely in awe, this wasn’t the same room as she remembered it.

Well-lit by several newly added lights, and curtain that seemed to circle all around them. The floor beneath them wasn’t a floor at all “Is this a…bed?” Pinkie nodded, Fluttershy’s mouth still hanging. This ‘bed’ was larger than any she’d seen, even the ones in the castle in Canterlot couldn’t hold a candle to this one. The only part that wasn’t a bed seemed to be a small section where a table held food and drinks for the two of them.

And the last thing she noticed was something Pinkie had promise, several stuffed animals of various sizes laid about the surface of the mattress. “So what do you say, did I deliver or what?” Fluttershy never answered, too busy hugging a large stuffed rabbit to say anything. “I’ll take that as a yes,” she said with a giggle, letting Fluttershy enjoy herself.

Soon the real enjoyment was going to begin.
