Dear Scootaloo
The connection
Previous ChapterNext ChapterI stood in front of my cottage with a basket in my mouth, in the storm. I took a deep breath in and created a spark and slowly opened the door. I quickly ran inside and shut the door behind me. Then, I suddenly placed down the basket in front of me crouched down to see what was going on...Before my eyes, I saw a her head push the blanket up and stared at me with a smile. My thoughts on her were: Who would leave such a cute filly in the forest alone? Scratch that. She is beautiful.
She tilted her head in confusion...Probably cause I wouldn't stop staring at her. I snapped myself out of it, I was going to ask her some questions..But, I remembered she couldn't talk...Or could she? So I let it all out. "So..How did you get out there?" I said to her as she just stared at me with her shiny eyes. She didn't answer...She couldn't answer. She started to act shy as she put her ears down and turned her head away from me, STILL staring at me. I then lifted my hoof and turned her head back around towards mine and gave her a smile. "Are you hungry?" I asked her that, because she looked awfully skinny when I lifted her up earlier. As her response, she blinked twice and jumped up into the air like a pink mare I know when shes excited. I got off the floor and grabbed the basket with my teeth, trotted over towards my kitchen and placed them next to the stove. I used a spell to open all the cabinets and doors as the filly in the basket watched in amazement. I then spun around in front of her and gave her a wink. Then, used the magic to start the stove and placed a pot right on the flame. So I wouldn't set the cottage on fire, I got out my measuring cup, filled it with water, and poured it all in the pot. The filly eyes widened as if she never seen this before...Has she? And then I had an idea. "Let's put on a show!" I shouted as I twirled around towards my sink to wash my hooves. My wet front hooves in the air, and back hooves spinning around, I was making the filly feel welcome in my cottage and I could tell she liked it as well as I ever would. She then gave me a huge smile and danced around in the basket as if we made a tune! Wow...This filly is so smart and cute...I wish she would speak. I then was out of my focus and lost my balance and fell on my bottom. "Ah...Ow.." I mumbled while rubbing my head. Since I was out of focus, The magic stopped as well, the orange filly started laughing..Yeah,Laughing! I was so surprised, I looked up at her and started to laugh too. I picked myself up once again. And then I realized I had a spoon in my mouth. And with this spoon I picked up some carrots next to the stove beside the basket, and put them in the pot along with: Chicken broth, Pepper, Potatoes, Meat, Peas and finally green beans. I wouldn't know if she would like it or not...It was very healthy though! She seemed to like the smell of it, her head was hanging out of the basket and her tongue sticking out, panting like a dog.
