Everfree Isolation

How do I start this? Hi? No, that’s too boring. Maybe I should make it more friendly? Greetings, my ponies. No, that seems too, what’s the word? Okay, let me try again. Oh, but now this seems. Forget it. I knew I should’ve waited longer to start writing things.

Okay, it’s been a few more days of hard reading and writing. I think I’m ready now. I don’t know exactly where to start. I’ve just been wanting to write something for a while, like the books that I’ve read. Although I’m not the most smartest. So I can’t think of stories to write easily. I thought just writing about my life would be an easy start. I was able to find a piece of blank paper in this library, but I don’t know how much I can fit on it. I’ll try and look for another later. I’m writing using some old ink I found on a desk and a feather pen. I’ve been practicing writing for a while now, I wanted to be able to write good well? I think I use well. There’s a book in here about how to write down here, but it’s kind of hard to read in some parts.

I need to talk about this library. It’s under some old castle with a broken roof and colored windows that I think once held pictures. I don’t know the word for them. Some of them aren’t all the way broken, others are just missing. The ones that are still there have pictures of large ponies that I don’t know the names to. One is white and the other is black. I think they were once mahn monr kings and queens in this castle, but they're probably dead by now. I don’t know how old this castle is, but it’s probably older than I am. The library is under the castle, but it is hard to see and can only be found after pressing a stone on a wall. It’s not really big, but has a lot of books to read. Even learning how to read was hard. I learned to look at the pictures in some of the books and look at the words on the page, which helped a little. I was able to guess what other words meant by the other words around them. It took me a long time to get where I am now, but I don’t know how long.

The castle is in a really big forest with lots of animals. Not all of them are nice though, some of them have to be killed, which is okay I guess. Some of them taste pretty good if I put them over a fire for long enough. Not too long, otherwise it’ll get all black and taste terrible and sometimes burn like the fire does. I tried to do that once because I thought that if a little makes it better, a lot must make it really good. I guess I wasn’t right. I think rabbits are my favorite. They’re really easy to cach catch and cook and they taste really good. I sometimes see big animals made of trees eating rabbits like I do, but they don’t like to put them over a fire. They should, I read that it’s better for me that way. At least I think I did. I’ve read a lot of the book down here, but I don’t remember a lot of what is in the books. I try to remember as much as I can so I can write better and be smarter. I like reading about other smart ponies in books, it makes me want to become smarter. Some of the books down here are hard to read though because they have some really long and weird words that I don’t know what they mean. Do they have books with words in them? I wish they did. It would make reading a lot easyer easier. Maybe there’s one down here in t

I ran out of paper and had to find a new piece. I’m also running out of ink. I should see if I can find a book on how to make ink and paper. Most of the books down here are about maji magic. I don’t know what that is though, I can’t really read those books. Some of the words in them are too big and when I try to do the things in the book it makes my head hurt. I wish I could read better. I wonder anyone can teach me how to read. It’s hard just teaching myself. I think there are other ponies around somewhere, but I haven’t seen any. They make funny noises and I hide when I hear them. I don’t think I’m smart enough to meet them yet. A lot of the ponies I see in the books I read have wings like birds or horns on their heads. Is that what they really look like? Why don’t I have wings or a horn? I wish I had some so I could fly like Stone does.

Stone is my bird friend. He’s black and doesn’t talk much, but he makes noises. I wish I knew what he was saying. I gave him some food from a rabbit one day and he stayed with me. He’s really nice, but sometimes he flies away for a little while. He always comes back though and I give him some food I have. Sometimes he brings me back weird things. He gave me a weird stone one day, it wasn’t greh gray like most stones are. It was perp purple and really shiny, so I kept it as a present. I could even see myself in it if I look at it right like the glass in the castle. I wonder what it is. Is it a new rock no one knows about? I wish it is, that would be nice.

I also have this robe I found in the library. It’s the color of dirt and smells like it too, but it fits me and keeps me warm. It has this hat on it too which keeps my ears warm if I need to use it. I really like it. Stone likes to hide in the hat if he gets cold and I have it on. I think it also makes me hard to see because when I wear it, some things in the forest don’t notice me if I don’t move. I like to hide in bushes sometimes and watch the things walk by. It’s fun and nothing ever notices me. Maybe I should see if I can see some other ponies when I do it.

I know there’s a town close by, maybe I should visit it sometime. I should make sure I can talk well enough first, I’ve tried before and I think I have it down really good. I can say all kinds of different things. I’m pretty sure I can say everything I can write. Now I’m really excited about meeting new ponies. I wonder if I should bring them some rabbit? I bet they would like that. I know I would. Maybe I should wait before bringing any rabbit, some ponies might not like to eat rabbit. I’ll bring some apples instead, everyone likes apples. At least I think so. Stone likes apples and I’ve seen a lot of other animals eat apples. I’m sure they’d like some apples. I’ll have to go and get some later. I wonder what they’ll be like. I hope they’re nice. When should I go? At night? They might be sleeping at night. I’ll visit the town at night, just so I know what it looks like. Then I’ll go with some apples. I wish I could go now, I can’t hold this feather pen I’m so excited. I wonder what other ponies have written. I hope I can learn more words from them.
