I can handle this

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Geralt gently pushed Twilight back, allowing himself and her to have their own space.

"I'm sorry," He apologized "but none of you should know what a Witcher is. And though I thank you for the guidance about this land, I won't be here for long."

"...Are you sure?" Twilight asked, walking to him "I mean, you may want to know about this land, history, and-" Geralt casted an Axii on her. The familiar white glow was around her face.

"I can handle whatever is thrown at me." Twilight stared for a bit, but shook off the casted sign.

"Was... was that a manipulation spell!?" Her horn flared purple, telling Geralt that, perhaps like Luna, she had knowledge in magic.

Shit! She levitated him in the air, nearly growling.

"If there's one thing I hate, it's ponies that are ignorant and believe they can control other ponies to do their bidding!"

"Well, it seems you and I have one thing in common. Also... ponies?"

"It's what we are. Now, tell me what you are or I'm going to-" A loud roar shook the area and caused Twilight to drop Geralt, covering her ears with her hooves.

"DRAGON!!!" Pinkie yelled "EVERYPONY FOR THEMSELVES!!!" Geralt turned around and, like what Pinkie said, a Dragon was flying their way. Geralt quickly observed the beast.

Hm... Dragon, can't lie from that. Red dragon... about 15 meters in length. Hold on, is that... armor? Armor looks new, custom built from someone. Claws, wings, underbelly, and tail are still exposed. Helmet covers the entire face but the mouth, complete with glowing green eyes. I'm gonna have to find a way to remove the armor quickly, or find a way to hang myself over it's underbelly and stab it from there. Geralt stood on his hind legs and unsheathed his silver sword.

"What are you doing!?" Twilight asked in fear "Run!"

"You want to know what a witcher does?" He asked, turning with a noticeable smirk "Watch."

The dragon landed and let out another deafening roar. Geralt approached to the Dragon, only his mane & tail being blown by the roar, as the noticeable stench of rotting flesh & smoke hit his nose. Most would gag at the smell, but Geralt was all too use to the smell.

"Geralt of Rivia!!!" The Dragon's yelled in a booming voice.

A talking Dragon!? Geralt though to himself, surprised to hear a majestic beast talk. He then smiled at it. Oh, this just got a lot more interesting! "Right here, you bastard!" The Dragon looked down at Geralt. Most people, when seeing a dragon, would stay as far away as possible, but those who were near it, would know that they'd die by either being crushed or devoured by the beast. Geralt stood near the Dragon, only a few feet away from it. The dragon and Geralt stared at each other, but the dragon laughed.

"You!? You're the legendary Witcher that Celestia and Luna have summoned!? HAHAHA!!! This will be easy and my masters will be pleased!" The dragon took a deep breath and, from it's mouth, a tsunami of fire came out, burning and melting anything that got in it's way. It stopped, smiling, but froze as Geralt stood, unharmed with only his mane & tail singed.

"I almost felt that. Tell me, do you not know Witchers can cast some magic spells on themselves?"

"Bah! Bloody unicorns!" The dragon charged at Geralt, swiping it's right claw at him, only for it to bounce off of Geralt with a sting. "AAH!!! WHAT THE-!?"

"Quen. My turn." Geralt charged at the dragon, running underneath it's underbelly, and lunged his sword into the dragon's belly, blood falling down immediately. The dragon winced at the pain and used it's left hind foot's toes to grab Geralt. Geralt noticed the feet coming to him; he took the sword out from the underbelly and lunged it into the Dragon's closest toe. The dragon roared in pain, kicking Geralt away from it's foot. Geralt rolled across the floor, but quickly got up and charged again. The dragon turned around and swung it's tail at Geralt. Geralt saw the tail headed for him, and, in one quick thrust, he used aard, pushing the tail back and hearing a satisfying 'Crack'! The dragon wailed even louder, turning to see Geralt run up it's tail.

"You're good on the ground, Witcher! But how do you fare in the sky!?" The dragon flapped it's might wings and flew up to the sky! Geralt grabbed onto the scales on the Dragon's back/tail region and held on for dear life. Quickly thinking, he stabbed the dragon's exposed parts below him, making a line of stabs that made the dragon wince with each one. Using his long sword, he sliced at the line of stabs he made, making the dragon roar in pain again. The flesh began to weaken, bleeding heavily, and the tail began to fall from the body. If there's one thing Geralt learned, it's that if a dragon's tail is cut off, the dragon has a lack of balance and can't fly well. This is what happened, as the Dragon yelped, trying it's best to fly, but began to fall to the earth below. Geralt used this to run across the Dragon's armored back and ran into the opening space in the neck/head region. While the space he was in was too tight for him to stab the dragon, he began to push the dragon's helmet off. However, both Geralt and the dragon landed roughly on the floor, both inside a forest for sure. The dragon's helmet came off, as did it's tail, and it's armor was now dented badly. Geralt stood right up, holding his silver sword and marched to the dragon. The dragon laid in pain, and whimpered as Geralt approached him.

"Sorry I couldn't answer your question, but let's say I'm not good in the air."

"W-Wait! Y-y-you can't do this!"

"Oh, and why not? What makes you think it's alright to terrorize a village, look for me, and fail at trying to kill something small as a mouse is to me?"

"I-I never wanted to do this! I-I was controlled... by something! Really!"

"I've heard that excuse before."

"T-that helmet! I had no control! They wanted me to do this!"

"And who is 'they'?

"... The wild hunt." Geralt took a few steps back at that name.

The Wild hunt!? Here!? Wait... if Luna and Yeneffer know each other... Ciri's here!!!

"I'm giving you this one chance offer, Dragon!" Geralt ordered "Tell me what happened! Was there someone named Ciri!?"

"... I do not know, but... somepony was there."

"What did this... pony... look like?" Please, let my visit here be short, I don't want to hear nor say 'pony' again.

"A unicorn, white mane and tail, like you, green eyes, a scar below her left eye that goes to her cheek, carries-"

"That's Ciri. Tell me everything."

"Yes, sir."

Ciri, Princess of Cintra, the daughter of Pavetta and Duny, and the granddaughter of Queen Calanthe, ran across the field as something she never expected to be: a horse! She had all the details as the Dragon spoke, but she also had grey coat, much like Geralt, and wore her white top with her sword. The mark on her flanks was her sword, but it was also in flames, probably her burning desire to become a withcer like her adopted father. Following behind her was the Dragon Geralt fought, roaring loudly while releasing a blaze of fire!

"You think you can escape from me!?" The dragon yelled "You are nothing more but a snack for my belly!"

"A talking dragon!?" Ciri asked herself "Heh, Geralt would love to hear this!" She turned around and unsheathed her sword, charging at the dragon! The dragon landed and let out another roar of fire, but Ciri teleported behind him and ran away. The dragon turned, seeing her run away.

"You're not getting away that easily!" Ciri ran ahead, but skidded as she saw a familiar vortex.

"N-no! It can't be! Yennefer!? Luna!? Is that you!?" Out of the vortex came the thing she was running from all this time: The wild hunt! Unlike her, the Wild Hunt stayed the same throughout, as something similar to Quen was around them, but glowed blue instead of orange. All around them, the plants died and turned to ice.

"There's the Child, your majesty." Caranthir, the one holding the staff spoke and navigator of the hunt, pointing at Ciri. Eredin, the leader wearing the crowned helmet with the skull cover turned to Ciri and walked to her. She turned and ran away as fast as her hooves could carry her! The dragon landed and roared at Ciri, who teleported again, blasting fire at the three! A wall of ice came up, turning the fire into steam and protected the three. Imlerith, the commander of the hunt, charged at the dragon, teleporting onto the beasts and stabbing it on it's back. The dragon roared in pain, turning around to bite Imlerith, but was held down as the Wild Hunt's army came and tied the dragon down. Imlerith held up his sword, ready to slice it's head off.

"Wait." Eredin spoke. Imlerith listened, holding his blade in check. The dragon's eyes looked around nervously, unaware what's happening "Caranthir... I feel one of us is here."

"Indeed," Caranthir replied "One of us is here... yet, not really. Could it be him?"

"The one that escaped after failing to assassinate me? ~Yes... Sombra."

"Do you want my men to find and kill him?" Imlerith asked

"No. Caranthir... summon him." Caranthir took a few steps ahead and his staff glowed. In a few moments, a red horn transitioning to black appeared before their feet. Caranthir chanted some old words, making his staff glow even brighter, and soon, the sillhouete of another horse creature, this one who's mane & tail moved like fire, red pupils in green eyes that had purple smoke erupting from the sides, and wore something that looked like a king would wear. It fell to the floor, coughing hard. It looked up to the Wild hunt and froze with fear, shaking.

"N-No!" It spoke in shadowy voice "Eredin!"

"It's been a long time, Sombra. The Wild Hunt has missed their liar and thief." Eredin grabbed Sombra by his throat, making him gag & wriggle for air "You have taken on the form of these creatures, haven't you? Using the magic that we taught you so you can become ruler over this pathetic spit of land?"

"P-Please! I... I was doing this... for the name... of the wild hunt!"

"And would that include stabbing me in the back?"

"I... regret... that... decision!"

"Prove it." He released Sombra, making him gasp and wheeze for breath. "Sombra, I am giving you this one chance to redeem yourself for the Wild Hunt. Help us catch the one called Ciri, make sure Geralt doesn't reach her, and when all said is done, you will be free to do what you want." Sombra stood up, but bowed to Eredin, his voice now raspy.

"I will, my master."

"So the Wild hunt is here," Geralt spoke "They brought another unicorn thing-"

"Pony" The dragon corrected.

"...Pony, back to life, who enslaved you how?

"They had me locked up, took my brothers in with them. Sombra proved useful to them; the helmet I wore controlled my every move, act as their slave in any way they wanted."

"And that is all that happened?"

"You took me down, but you already know that." Geralt looked over the majestic beast again, seeing what he did to the talking creature.

He looks like he might make it. He thought Maybe. I don't know how Dragon's act here, but they seem prideful over their actions. If he lives, he'll live in agony from his brethren. Killing him, however, seems fair game; there's plenty around from what he's said, and I doubt any dragon will want to threaten me after they learned I kill this dragon. Perhaps this is mercy killing? Who knows, perhaps killing one will make me more of a celebrity here... which means, more money... damn, I'm thinking like a stereotypical Witcher.

Kill the Dragon.

Spare it.
