A Hell jumper through and through

Armonia (3 weeks later)
Location - 5 miles East of the Armonia/ Caribou border, Armonian Forward Operating Base.

Tony was sitting in one of the several large locker rooms, he was in his full ODST Armour save for the helmet, which sat beside him. In his open hand sat the locket he was given by Julia before she died, he was simply looking at the picture of when they were younger back on Luna. He stumbled across the locket when he was checking his pouches which was close to an hour prior, with a deep breath he closed the locket and put it back in a pouch before he rose from the bench and grabbed his helmet before leaving the locker room and headed for the armoury. The 100 metre walk seemed to stretch on for miles as Tony's nerves were getting to him, combat wasn't new to him but leading troops into a war zone that would possibly claim their lives brought back bad memories as the marine reached the door and entered.

When Tony entered, he was greeted with half a dozen soldiers at attention and saluting him causing Tony to frown slightly before he gestured a brief salute as the soldiers went back to their tasks. Tony watched them for a moment before walking to a weapon locker and grabbed a Magnum along with several magazines along with a Jackal shield unit before he exited the armoury and headed outside.

As Tony stepped outside, he observed as several pelicans dropped off soldiers before heading back to Sanctuary to retrieve more. Tony watched for a moment before he walked to the command centre of the base which housed only two soldiers unlike its usual thirty, he approached one of the soldiers and tapped her on the shoulder "how many are we waiting on?" He asked as the elf looked through her notes then back at her terminal.

"Two dozen more sir" she said as he nodded.

"Um sir, we have a situation" called the other soldier which caused Tony to walk over to him.

"Whats wrong?" He asked as the Orc pointed to a large group of dots on the radar heading towards the base from the Caribou

"A large group of unidentified airships coming towards us at high speed" she stated.

"Do we have visual?" Tony asked as she nodded and went to a terminal next to her which turns on to see something that caused Tony to freeze in place, a large group of Banshees escorting several Phantoms were on route. "Sound the alarm" he said as the Orc looked at him.

"Yes sir" she said before getting up and running to a panel in which she opened it and pressed a button moments before a large alarm was heard.

Tony nodded and turned to leave just as Chrys, Moon, Molly, Celestia and the Mane six entered. "What the fuck are you lot doing here?" He asked as he went to a wall, as he approached the wall, it opened and a weapon rack came out with several assault rifles. Tony grabbed two, which he tossed to the marines before grabbing himself one.

"Why? Is something wrong?" Celestia asked moments before a large explosion was heard along with several loud whirring noises.

"Yes this base is under attack by Covenant forces" Tony said causing Chrys, Moon, Molly and Celestia to go wide eyed.

"What? How are they here?" Chrys asked.

"Good Question, I'll ask them but first, go with these two marines to the bunker" Tony said as Chrys shook her head but Tony ignored her and stepped passed her just as the door was blown open only for the group to see group of Covenant lead by a Elite Minor get blown apart in the doorway covering them in a mixture of blue and purple gore causing the Mane six to scream.

"Tony... "Chrys started but Tony stopped her by kissing her and pulling on his Helmet.

"Go" he ordered before exiting the building to see a phantom detonate and a long sword squadron flew passed overhead destroying several more phantoms and Banshees while several managed to evade the attack run. Tony began running to one of the defense towers, which was offline but as he was running he saw massive blue plasma rounds crashed into a landing pelican, destroying its wing and causing it to crash into the tower and bring it down on top of a Phantom, pinning the drop ship to the gravel seconds before it detonated.

“I presume you are the Commanding Officer of this facility?” a deep voice asked as auditable thud was heard to Tony’s flank causing him to look and see three Zealot Class Elites with their energy swords in hand.

“I am the commanding Officer, Split jaw, now mind telling me why you lot are here before you attack?” Tony asked as he looked at his rifle and simply dropped it, from the stories and reports of the equipment of a Zealot and their skill, an assault rifle won't help so he decided to try and appeal to their honour and drew his chemically sharpened titanium combat knife and held it in a reversed fashion.

“we have come to prevent your invasion” the centre one said as it looked to its right and nodded causing the Zealot next to it to deactivate its sword and toss it to Tony, who caught the handle that was twice the size of his hand. Tony gave a shocked look before he sheathed his knife and took the handle in both hands and activated the energy sword, he gulped slightly at the knowledge that he would have to one hand the long weapon in order to block and strike properly so he took a deep breath and removed his left hand from the handle be off giving it a few test slashes and nodding before looking back to see that the two elites at the sides had managed to reach a higher area just as dozens of marines poured into the courtyard only for them to be stopped by Tony’s raised left hand. “Your soldiers are impressive but the time for talk has passed” the Elite said before launching forward and attacking with a horizontal strike which Tony blocked but slid across the ground from the force behind the attack.

Tony in turn brought the blade up in a vertical strike quickly only for the Zealot to parry the attack and kick Tony in the chest making him grunt and fall backwards, which he quickly righted himself and lunged forward in an attempt to run the Elite through but only resulted in getting sliced shallowly across the back as the Elite sidestepped him and struck him across his back but in doing so, Tony had drawn his Knife and quickly swung in backwards and pierced the Elite’s shield, armour and skull. The two stood their as Purple and red blood pooled on the ground before the Zealot crumpled to the ground with the knife jutting from where temple used to be, the other two Zealots jumped down to attack only to be crushed as a large Dragon brought its tail down ontop of them before they had a chance to activate their weapons or react. The entire courtyard was for a few moments before Tony deactivated the Energy Sword in his hand and proceeded to remove his helmet and wiped the sweat from his brow.

“All of you, this is the Enemy of Mankind, the kind of Enemy that murders innocents, children and burns worlds because of those they deem unworthy for some bullshit, they came to wipe us out in order to stop us from striking a decisive blow to the Dominion which shows that they see us as a threat…… but now the fight is no longer between nations, no, this fight just went from zero to one hundred real quick as if we don't stop Daine and the Covenant then this world may be turned to glass, you may be turned to glass, your friends, families and those you protect may become glass. I know some of you had doubts about invading the Caribou but listen to me, our commander, a veteran of a decade long galactic war with these people, i have lose so much to these invaders that I can't, i won't stand by and run the risk of letting them take away what you all love, now who is ready to take the fight to Daine and the Covenant?” he asked which was responded with a loud uproar of approval while Tony took a deep breath. “This attack was a small engagement compared to what we will encounter ahead of us, i know that there will be casualties, i know there will be pain, i know there will be fear but what I am asking you all is to return the favor to our enemy tenfold, show them that we don't fear the Dominion and their reign of terror ends, so saddle up, we roll out tomorrow morning” Tony finished as the army dispersed moments before he sat down on the gravel. As he did, Eliza can over to him and knelt behind Tony before she removed his chest armour as she began to heal his back with magic “Thanks Eliza” Tony said to his partner fixed him up.

“no worries Tony, I'm happy that it's not that deep so no real damage was dealt” she said as she rubbed his back gently while the mares walked over to him and looked at him in silence.

“Well, That's the Covenant for you” Tony said to them while his other partners moved closer to him save Celestia, who was looking at the destruction around them. “What's wrong?” Tony asked.

“I was just wondering, if this was a small force, does that mean you will be facing the full force tomorrow?” she asked him as he thought for a moment before nodding. “But you were almost crippled by a small force, you have also lost your arm to this enemy so give me a good reason why I shouldn't banish you to the moon until this is all over?” she asked as she moved closer to him with a frown on her face.

“What will that achieve? “ Tony asked her simply.

“you will be alive and safe” Tia replied with a stomp of her hoof.

“And what about all those who will die and how many would survive if I went?” he asked her.

“But what if you die?” she asked again with another stomp.

“If it meant victory and that the Covenant and Dominion are defeated then it is an acceptable loss” he said as Chrys slapped him.

“That isn't an Acceptable loss, you mean more to Everypony to be another number.” Moon explained.

“So sending the man with a Starship to the moon is a smart idea?” he asked as they all were speechless.

“We could turn you to stone” Moon suggested which Tony gave her a deadpan look.

“Yes and then you have no sex from me, Ever Again” he responded as Molly slapped Moon.

“What about the dungeon?” AppleJack said as Tony glared at her.

“I'm pretty sure he could break out” Twilight said.

“Fine you win Tony” Celestia sighed as she looked at Twilight. “can you take your friends home please?” she asked as Twilight nodded and teleported away with her friends before Celestia teleported the group back to Tony’s place.

“Um why are we at home?” Tony asked as he sat on his couch.

“Well this may be the last chance that we….. we get to spend with you Tony” Chrys said with a short sniffle as she straddled his lap and hugged him.

“Oh…. Okay” he said as his arms went around the Changeling before Luna, Amanda, Mayli, Cadence, Cloud Duster, Amber and Lucy, most of which were in armour.

“What happened?” Lucy asked looking around.

“Well seeing tomorrow most of the Herd is going to war, i thought it would be good idea for us to spend time together while we can” Celestia said as she sat on the couch on Tony’s left.

“Will this require Endurance potions?” Luna asked as all the females smirked “we shall take that as a yes” Luna said before teleporting away.

“Well fuck” Tony sighed before Chrys kissed him deeply.
