Silver and Shadow entered the house. "Silver are you ok? And who is that on your back?" Rose said. "I'm fine, but I don't know who she is. I don't think she is anyone's child. She doesn't even have a name…" Silver said. The filly opened her eyes to look at Rose and Solar Star then she closed her eyes and let out a deep sigh. "She's cute." Solar Star said. "She is certainly something." Silver said. "Why is that?" Rose said. "She was out in the storm, she most likely would have perished if I hadn't of protected her from a lightning bolt." Silver said. "Are you sure you're ok?" Shadow Tonic said. "Yes, I'm fine." Silver replied. "She doesn't seem to be hurt or anything." Rose said. "She's lucky." Silver said. "Do you have a name?" Silver asked the little filly. The little filly shook her head slowly. "Do you have a family?" Shadow said. The filly shook her head again while looking down at the floor. "She's an orphan." Rose said. "I know. Shadow Stella Eclipse has no family." Silver said. "What?" Solar said. "That's her name. We'll call her Stella for short." Silver said. "Are you sure you can take care of her?" Shadow said. "I took care of my younger sister when she was this age." Silver replied. "You have a sister?" Shadow Tonic said. "Well technically five, Sapphire being the oldest." Silver said. "I'm going to wash this little one up; she has dirt in her beautiful coat." Rose said. She approached the filly and went to pick her up. The filly jumped off Silver's back before Rose could get her. "It's ok Stella. She'll give a bath." Silver told the little filly. The little one looked at Rose. She slowly walked up to her. Rose picked her up and took her upstairs. "She's an odd filly." Shadow Tonic said. "Let's go home Shadow." Solar Star said. "Sure. Bye Silver." Shadow said. "Bye you two, take care." Silver said.
Rose got the water just right for the little filly. She put her in the water; at first Stella didn't know how to react to the warm water. She had never felt water this warm before. She looked up at Rose. Rose looked at the expression on her face. "It feels odd, huh?" Rose said smiling. Rose washed her with a wash cloth, the filly jumped at first when she felt it touch her coat. After the bath, Rose wrapped Stella up in a towel. After she was done drying her, Stella's coat was fluffed up. Stella didn't look happy. "There, all better." Rose said. She picked up the filly and brought her downstairs. "She's all clean." Rose said. The filly jumped off Rose's back and ran up to Silver, she rubbed Silver's leg. The little filly let out a big yawn. "Are you getting sleepy?" Silver said. Stella nodded her head up and down. "Ok, let's take you too bed." Silver said as she picked the filly up. "Um, Silver? Are you going to get a shower? You're dirty…" Rose said. "Woops, better go do that. Be right back." Silver said as she gave the filly back to Rose. Silver ran up the stairs to go get a shower. After five minutes Silver ran back downstairs, now clean. "I feel better now that I cleaned up." Silver said, she seen Rose and Stella sitting on the couch. The filly looked around as she sat there comfortably. When she seen Silver, she bounded off the couch and ran up too Silver. "I take it you're ready for bed?" Stella shook her head up and down before letting out a yawn. Silver picked up Stella and trotted up to Rose, she gave her a kiss on the cheek. And went upstairs, Silver took the filly to her room and sat her on the bed. Silver covered the filly in a blanket. She then went around to the other side of the bed and lay down beside the filly. "Night, Stella." Silver said. Silver felt the filly snuggle with her. Silver just smiled.
Silver woke up in the middle of the night, she seen that Stella had kicked the blanket off of her. Silver covered her back up. She gave her a smooch on the forehead. The filly left out a sigh, Silver lay back down and went back to sleep.
Silver woke up to find the sun coming down through the window of her bedroom. She turned over to see that Stella wasn't in the bed. "Where is she?" Silver said. As she was getting out of bed, her left rear leg got caught in the blanket and she hit the floor with a "thud". She quickly scrambled to get up; when she did she trotted down the stairs. "Maybe she got up and went down stairs." As she got down the stairs, she saw the filly sitting at the kitchen table. Blood Rose was washing the dishes while humming a tune. "Oh hey silver." Blood rose said. "Hey Rose. So that's where Stella went." Silver replied while taking a seat at the kitchen table. "She just ate. Oddly she wouldn't eat the eggs or the toast, she ate and apple and an orange…" Rose said. "Maybe she just likes fruits and vegetables?" Silver said. "Possibly, when she wouldn't eat the eggs or toast, I offered her a pick of our fruit and she chose the apple and orange." Rose replied. "Well, she is our unique filly." Silver said with a smile. Stella let out a grin. "She's been good this morning. She helped me in the garden. She scared off a few rabbits nibbling at the carrots. She even helped me water the Morning Glories." Blood Rose said. "You're helpful around the house, aren't you Stella?" Silver said. Stella shook her head up and down in agreement. "I need to get some sunflower oil for my mechanical leg. You want to come, Stella?" Silver said. "Y-yes." Stella said. "She spoke." Blood Rose said in shock. Silver gave Stella a hug. "You're so special. Welcome to the family Stella." Silver said.
Silver woke up screaming, it was another nightmare from her accident. "Not again…" She said trying to catch her breath. "Silver, you ok?" Blood Rose said as she entered Silver's bedroom. "Yeah, it was another nightmare about my operation again." Silver replied. Blood Rose gracefully leaped up onto Silver's bed. "It's ok. I'm here for you." Rose said as she hugged Silver. "Thanks Rose. I love you so much." Silver said. "I love you too." Rose replied back.
Morning had come. Silver opened her eyes and seen Blood Rose lying next to her. Silver simply smirked and laid her head back down on Rose's shoulder. After two hours it was ten o'clock. Blood Rose got up and lightly kissed Silver on the cheek. "Love you." Blood Rose whispered. "I love you too Rose." Silver said with her eyes now open. "I'll make breakfast." Blood Rose said with a smile. "Sounds like this morning is going well." Silver replied with a smile as she climbed out of bed. "I'm going to take a shower while you make breakfast. Ok?" Silver said. "Sure." Blood Rose said as she headed downstairs to make breakfast. Silver stepped into the bathroom and turned the shower on. She took her "Mecha –Leg" off and slipped in. "This feels nice." She said. The warm water felt good on her silver coat. After three minutes she climbed out and dried herself off with a towel. She put on her "Mecha-Leg "and headed downstairs for breakfast. Silver could smell the eggs and bacon Rose had cooked. "Smells good and looks good." Silver said. "Thanks." Rose said with a smile. Silver got the table ready. Silver and Rose weren't very talkative when they ate breakfast. "That was delicious." Silver said. Blood Rose's smile was a good enough reply for Silver. "Well, I must brush my teeth and head outside." Silver said. "After I clean up the table and do the dishes." She continued. "Yeah, I have too tend to the Blaze Flowers." Blood Rose said. After Silver cleaned up the kitchen table, she had started on the cleaning them. As she was cleaning them, Silver was looking out the kitchen window at Blood Rose. "She's so beautiful…" Silver thought as she watched Rose smell the Blaze Flowers.
After Silver got done with cleaning the dishes, she put them in cupboard and headed upstairs and brushed her teeth. After she was done brushing her teeth, she headed out to the garden where Blood Rose was at. "I'm done with the dishes and done brushing my teeth." Silver said as she looked into Blood Rose's eyes. "Ok. I got done watering the flowers." Blood Rose replied while looking into Silver's eyes. Silver leaned towards Blood Rose and kissed her on the lips. Blood Rose's eyes rolled into her head. She thought she was going to faint. "I love you Rose. I really do." Silver said. "I love you too Silver." Blood Rose said, still blushing. "I need to get some things at the market. If there is anything you need, tell me before I go." Silver said. "Well, I need plant food and some carrots for the stew I'll be making tonight." Blood Rose said. "I'll be back." Silver said.
Silver walked down a peaceful road to the market place. She looked at the leaves on the trees. Red, yellow, orange and brown all around her, she knew it was fall in Timber Wood Village. The coastal town was always beautiful during the fall. There was a nip in the air, but Silver didn't mind. It was her favorite season after all. She stopped to watch a deer walk through the forest. After it disappeared from sight, she continued walking. "It's lovely out this time of year." Silver thought. After a few minutes, she reached the market place. It was always pack on Mondays. Ships brought in fresh food every week to the village. "Hi Silver." Solar Star said. "Hello Solar Star." Silver said.
"I'm guessing you're getting groceries too?" Solar said. "Yes carrots and plant food." Silver said. "I need to get some apples. Also, how are you and Blood Rose doing?" Solar Star said. "We're doing just perfect." Silver said with a grin on her face. "Well, you love birds take care now." Solar said, grinning. "We will." Silver replied as she watched Solar Star trotted off.
"That will be three bits for ten carrots." Said the vegetable store owner. "Here you go." Silver said while handing the three bits. Silver put the carrots in her saddle bag. "Now let's see… A bag of potatoes, ten carrots, and three cloves of garlic, five tomatoes, tomato juice and plant food." Silver thought. "Now too head home…" Silver felt the weight of the groceries. She tried to fly, but the weight of the potatoes held her down. She felt a splash on her coat. She looked up; it went from sunny to rainy in hurry. "Oh, no it's raining!" She thought. She when from trotting, to a full on gallop. As she got to full gallop, it started to pour. It went from raining, to a thunderstorm. "Oh man." She thought. Lightning struck a tree sending it crashing to the ground in her path. She jumped over the tree. She slammed into the mud. She looked down and saw that she broke her "Mecha-leg" off the piece attached in her leg. "Darn, this can't get worse…" She said. She felt a presence in the air. Something was watching her…
"Where is Silver?" Blood Rose said, worriedly. She ran to the phone and called Shadow Tonic. "Shadow, have you seen Silver? She went to the store and never came back. I'm worried. A storm rushed in fast. What if she's hurt? I'm terrified…" She said. "Solar Star said she talked with her at the market. If you want me too, I'll go look for her." Shadow Tonic replied. "Thanks Shadow." Rose replied.
"Solar, can you go to Rose's and Silver's house? I got to go looking for Silver. Rose called saying she didn't come back from the market." Shadow told Solar. "Sure." Solar replied. "Thanks honey." Shadow said. He kissed her on the lips and said: "I'll bring Silver home."
Silver felt a being in the area. She didn't know if it was an animal, monster or pony. "Someone is there. I know it." She thought. She heard a gasp behind the hill. She had trouble walking over the hill because of her missing leg. Once she got over the hill, she couldn't believe her eyes. A small, flying unicorn, lying in the grass. The small pony opened her eyes and looked at Silver, then laid her head back down. "Where did she come from? What if she's hurt? I better save her…" Silver thought as she carefully approached the filly. The filly popped her head up and looked at Silver wary. "I won't hurt you." Silver said in a calm, smooth voice. Silver saw that her eyes are different, where white should be, there was black. The filly's left pupil was red and the other was pink with a mane and tail to match. The filly looked up straight into the air. Silver looked up where the filly was looking, a lightning bolt hit the ground. Causing a loud boom, Silver shook her head from the boom. Silver ran up to the filly. She looked at Silver, eyes wide open. As a lightning bolt was coming down, Silver stood over the filly as the lightning bolt struck Silver…
Shadow Tonic seen it all, he landed near Silver's body. He stood there, eyes wide, as Silver stood back up. He seen the little filly that was underneath her. "Are you ok?" Silver said weakly. The filly looked up, she stood up and rubbed her head against Silver's leg. "I take that as a yes…" Silver said to the little filly. "Silver, are you ok? I had seen you get hit by lightning. Shadow Tonic said with worry. "Yeah… I'm fine…"
Silver said weakly.
She put the filly on her back. "Shadow, my leg is down the hill on the road, broken." She said. Can you get it?" She continued. "Sure I'll get it." He replied. "Also, can you get the groceries near my leg. I kind of dropped my saddlebag when I tripped over the tree." Silver said. "Of course I'll get it" Shadow replied with a weak smile. He ran down the hill and got Silver's stuff. He returned minutes later. "Thanks." Silver said. "You're welcome, now let's go home." Shadow said.
