PrologueView OnlineMagnificent Evil REduxPrologueUnderneath Raccoon City September 22, 1998 A sprawling underground research owned and operated by the pharmaceutical giant, Umbrella Corporation, is surprisingly empty for a Tuesday afternoon. Two men in tan uniforms can be seen standing next to a door, when it opens revealing a large man in all black and wearing a gas mask with red lenses quickly pulls out a large knife and puts it to one of the soldiers throats, he then quickly slices it across, while the first soldier falls to the ground bleeding profusely from his neck the other turns and receives the same treatment. “Command I have reached the lab with Delta team, requesting confirmation on our orders.” the man coated in all black said as he sheathed his knife. “Hunk, you and Delta team are to take custody of the G-virus samples from Doctor Birkin, should he resist in anyway, terminate him, we cannot afford for him to hand the G-virus over to the US government.” Command said with a calm flat voice. “Understood, moving to Birkin’s lab now.” Hunk said he and six others moved out of the common room and towards the biological research wing. When they arrived Hunk ordered five of the team to remain outside and remain guard while he and Vector entered. “Doctor Birkin, we have come for the G-virus samples, if you resist we have orders to kill you, please handover the samples.” Hunk said as he stepped forward and Vector pointed his MP-5 at the doctor. “No, I won’t hand over my life’s work to some thugs! You want it, take it from my dead hands.” Doctor Birkin shouted as he grabbed the case containing the samples and stepped back from the armed men. With that Hunk simply nodded and Vector unleashed a solid three round burst into the doctor’s chest. The doctor fell back against a desk and slid down, the case having been dropped landed just outside of his reach. Hunk moved forward and retrieved the case. “Corporate appreciates your hard work and loyalty to the project, your family will be well taken care of.” Hunk said with little emotion, considering this is the twentieth or so time he has said the prepared farewell. As he and Vector left they failed to see that Doctor Birkin had hidden a sample of the virus in his pants pocket. “My precious virus will save my life, and will ensure they pay for what they have done to me.” the doctor said as he drank the sample, and began to violently convulse. And his body began to change drastically, his upper body enlarge roughly twice the size and right nearly quadrupled in size, while in the shoulder a large grotesque eye grew, once his body had stopped changing he let loose a loud animalistic roar, shaking the room around him. “What was that?” one of the Delta team members questioned, as they ran along the access route towards their exfil point. When suddenly the wall besides two of the members burst open revealing the mutated Doctor Birkin, he quickly picked up one member and crushed their head in his hand as if it were a grape, letting loose a sickening crunch as he did so. He simply tossed the limp body at another member and stepped on the other member he knocked down when he bursted in. “Damnit, Delta engage that thing while I secure the virus samples.” Hunk commanded as he quickly took off. While he did the remaining four members of Delta, started opening fire on Doctor Birkin or what was Doctor Birkin. They quickly realised their weapons were ineffective against the monster. As Hunk reached the exfil point he noticed he no longer heard any gunfire and assumed Delta had beaten the monster, when a body suddenly knocked him to his stomach and the case containing the virus samples opened. As Hunk was recovering he turned and saw the mutated Birkin with a large pipe in his hand. As he noticed this the pipe came down on top of him breaking his neck in way that left him paralysed from the neck down. Out of the corner of his eyes he noticed the virus samples were blue, but the G-virus was green, that meant he had grabbed the wrong samples. The samples he had grabbed were that of the T-virus, in his final moments he saw Birkin step on the virus samples letting them leak out into the sewer system, dooming Raccoon City to hell. -Linebreak- September 24th, 1998 Unknown location “Sir, the infected levels of Raccoon City have reached a critical level, UBCS have been deployed but are failing at containing the outbreak, RPD has been overrun and the US Army will quarantine the whole city within twenty hours, and we have been forced to list Delta team and Hunk as KIA.” a young woman explained. “We have no choice, inform all U.S.S. teams that Operation Raccoon City is in effect.” a dark and annoyed voice said.
Chapter 1 (partially edited by my roommate)View OnlineMagnificent Evil REduxChapter 1 (partially edited by my roommate)September 24, 1998 Raccoon City, Missouri 2347 Hrs 39 hours after initial infection 42 hours after contact lost with HUNK and Delta team On the empty and dark streets of Raccoon City an all black Cadillac Gage Peacekeeper can be seen, heading to city hall. Inside it eight figures can be seen. The first is James Harris or by his fieldname Sarge, is sitting right next to the rear doors, standing at six foot three, he is the tallest of the seven person team. He’s dressed with the standard U.S.S. battledress, full black BDU top and pants, with a black ballistic vest and an M40 gas mask with a black PASGT helmet. In his arms is a M4A1 with a foregrip mounted flashlight and a red dot sight. On his thigh was a Beretta 92fs Inox, fitted with a sound suppressor, along with an eighteen round extended magazine. He is team's leader and close quarters combat expert. Across from him sat Jeff Gunderson or Anonymous as he is called, has the look of a golem or a juggernaut, standing at six feet even he is covered head to toe in heavy ballistic armor, and a fully encapsulating gas mask and helmet combination. Along his waist and front of his armor are rows upon rows of varying grenades most are fragmentation or incendiary with a few stun. In his hands is a M16A2, on his thigh is a M1911 and finally on his back rests a M72 Light Anti-Armor Weapon most commonly known as the LAW. With his explosives and armor he’s the team’s demo man and walking tank. To his left sits the team’s youngest member, Leonas Augustus or Lucky as she prefers, she is tall yet lithe, she stands at five foot ten, she’s wearing a tight black bodysuit designed by Umbrella to protect against bites and scratches, bullets however are a different story, anything bigger than a 9mm and she might as well be wearing nothing. She has a half rebreather mask in place of a full gas mask, it shows off her angular and soft face, long black hair that is tied off in a pony tail, along with her dark blue eyes. in place of a vest she has a bandoleer. On it she has several smoke and frag grenades, a small medikit and a radio in case main comms fail. On her laps rests her Steyr Aug with a four times magnification sight in place of the standard one and a half times sight, on the barrell is a sound suppressor and instead of the standard thirty round magazines, she uses the forty-two round support weapon magazines. On her thigh rests the monstrous IMI Desert Eagle semi-automatic magnum chambered for the .50AE, with the nine round magazines in place of the factory standard seven round magazines. She is the team’s chemical weapons expert and second in command. Across from her is Dan Grayson or Kestrel as he’s known as, he stands at an average five foot ten, he’s wearing an all black hooded recon top with black BDU pants developed by Umbrella to protect from fire and small arms, he has a lightweight commando vest, which is meant for equipment load bearing more than ballistic protection, he’s wearing the British SF10 gas mask. Resting in his hands is a MP5/10 a 10mm variation of the classic MP5 designed for the FBI, on the handguard was a laser aiming module and on the barrel was a sound suppressor. On his thigh was an H&K USP Match chambered in 9mm with a sound suppressor in place of the standard compensator. He also carried several M67 frag grenades, a thermal imaging monocular and a ground motion sensor. He was the team’s reconnaissance and surveillance expert. On his right was Vasily Degtyaryov aka Red, standing at six foot one, he wore a dark grey jacket and pants with a with a black ballistic vest, over his face he had the PRWU gas mask, which when compared to the rest of the team’s, looked old, outdated and cheap, but it worked. Standing between his legs was the massive OSV-96 sniper rifle, firing the massive 12.7x108mm round, the rifle itself was nearly six feet in length. On his hip in it’s wooden holster was a Stechkin APS, an automatic handgun whose wooden holster can double as a stock. He was the team’s sniper. Across from him was the team’s last female, Patricia Danglars aka Marseille, she was the smallest member of the team standing at five foot four. She wore the same bodysuit as Lucky, except for a backpack that contained her ‘research’ supplies along with a battle belt instead of a bandoleer, she also has Umbrella latest and greatest technology a wrist mounted touch screen computer, decades ahead of the world. She wore a half rebreather mask, that showed off her pale skin, brown eyes and short black hair. in her hands was the experimental XM 42 handheld flamethrower developed by Umbrella’s camping division. On her thigh was a Browning BDM, in which she plans to use as a primary. She was the team’s Virology expert and field scientist. Sitting in the passenger seat of the Peacekeeper was Aiden Knight, or simply Fox, he stood at five foot eleven, and unlike the rest of the team he wore a large leather jacket and a grey long shirt underneath that and blue jeans with black running shoes, in place of a gas mask was simply a cloth covering his lower face and a dark grey ball cap. He had with him a small laptop and several twenty gigabyte hard disk drives along with cables to hack with. He carried a Calico M960, and inside his jacket a Kahr K9 elite, and instead of a blade like the rest he carried a collapsible baton. He was the team’s electronic, security expert and hacker. The last person in the Peacekeeper was the driver a man simply known as Jihadi John, he was covered in blinking red christmas light, but was convinced they were explosives, so he may as he put it “Slay as many of the putrid infidels as possible”, to be honest the man was crazy, he kept insisting he was Arab, but the Texas accent and pale as the moon skin ruled that out. The only reason anyone could assume he was hired was because of his driving skills. As they drove through the streets, all they saw was chaos; dried blood, wrecked and flaming cars, discarded and empty guns. The sounds of distant screams and emergency sirens was only overpowered by the hungry growls and moans of the dead. As they were waiting for the drive to end, their radios squawked to life. “Omega team, respond.” a raspy voice called out. “Omega team here, command.” Sarge quickly answered in an attempt to avoid command’s wraith. “Omega, your objectives are as follows, erase any and all digital evidence of Umbrella's involvement, destroy any and all physical evidence of Umbrella facilities in the area and of what has happened in the Arklay Mountains, afterwards check in for further objectives, understood!” Command quickly and harshly ordered over the radio, yet before Omega team could respond they terminated the transmission. Omega team could feel the weight of the importance of the mission, should they fail, well they didn’t want to think of that possibility. The Peacekeeper lurched to a stop, next to an underground exit for city hall. “Here we are, now get out you filthy infidels.” the driver responded. Omega wasted no time exiting the vehicle whose driver was more than likely clinically insane. As they exited the Peacekeeper quickly drove off, with an unknown destination. “Ain’t gettin in this way.” Sarge said as he examined the door and found it was both locked and chained on the inside, he could see claw marks on the door and assumed some survivors locked the door to escape the dead. “Not necessarily sir.” Anonymous said as he prepared a MK3A2 concussion grenade, “I could have this door open in a jiffy,we just need to all back away and let me work some magic.” As this was said everyone backed away from the door, Anonymous wedged the grenade by lock and quickly pulled the pin and ran. Five seconds later the grenade went off and forced the door to concave, Anonymous quickly kicked the door in and it fell right off it’s hinges with a loud thud. Growls and moans could be heard approaching quickly. “In now!” Kestrel yelled as they entered with haste. Once they were all in Anonymous and Kestrel wedged the door and shoved a broken vending machine behind it, in an attempt to prevent the dead from reaching them. Once inside they noticed the remains of what looked like an UBCS soldier strewn across the floor. “Poor bastard became a human happy meal.” Kestrel morbidly said with a chuckle. “Really of all the times and topics you make a joke on that?” Red berated with disdain in his voice. “Not a joke, just an observation.” Kestrel replied with a distinct lack care in his voice. Before Red could respond, Sarge spoke up “Lock it down both of you, we have a job to do.” with a quick glare pointed at Kestrel for his lack of professionalism. As that was said Marseille stopped herself from collecting samples, reassuring herself that there will be time later for research and possible testing. Before anything else could happen the door in front of the burst open, the team leveled their weapons at the man who entered, he also leveled his G36 at the team as well. “Hold your fire he’s UBCS.” Sarge called out, the weapons were lowered and the grey haired man noticed that they were U.S.S. by their clothing and weapons. “Nikolai Zinoviev, UBCS delta platoon, we were sent to rescue citizens but, that has failed, I’m trying to find a safe zone.” he supplied without question hoping they simply pass him along. “Your U.S.S., corporate must really be in panic.” Kestrel walked up and looked towards Sarge, “Sir, loose thread?” he asked while he looked back at Nikolai and shouldered his MP5/10. Sarge nodded and said “Tie it off.” As this was said the team walked through the door Nikolai just came through, without saying anything Kestrel put two bullets in Nikolai’s head, ending the UBCS sergeant’s life, with little care Kestrel stepped over Nikolai's body and rejoined his team. Once inside the city hall itself the team started moving towards the security room so they can quickly access the security cameras feed and get a heads up on what they might face, and it also helps that the server room was right next to the security room. As they crossed the atrium, they began to notice more and more empty casings and magazines littered across the floor. While they were moving Sarge took note of Fox’s apparel and decided to question him on it. “Fox, why are wearing civis and a bandana instead of the standard and gas mask?” Sarge questioned hoping for a good explanation for Fox’s odd choice in operation apparel. “Simple, need to know, and if you needed to know you would know.” Fox answered calmly not wanting to explain himself or his position. Sarge grimaced under his mask and let it go, he didn’t want to cause a stirrup in the team while on operations. While that was happening the team’s resident second in command Lucky was talking with Marseille. “So, you’re saying that when we reach a point where we get a breather you want to find a zombie and take some samples and run some tests?” Lucky questioned the sadistic virology expert. “Yes, it could lead to some major breakthroughs no one's even thought of yet, not to mention a possible antivirus,eh.” Marseille passionately explained hoping that if she could convince the second in command, she could overrule Sarge if he declines her chance to study, or if Sarge were to have an accident, and say get infected she could have a live subject to study and test, the mere thought of studying the virus from initial infection to it’s end phase of turning the host into a flesh eating animalistic monster was getting her giddy. Lucky was thinking of who in the team she could manipulate to follow her, should something happen. She quickly ruled out Sarge as he was a team player and prefer that nobody dies if it can be helped. Next she thought of Red, but felt that the Russian would be more of a detriment to her survival with his large rifle and quiet personality. Anonymous could be useful with all his explosives and heavy armor if they encounter large numbers and barricades. Fox on the other was a mystery, she could easily tell he had some form of ulterior motives, but what they were was beyond her, her first thought was that he was working for corporate’s upper management, but she figured she’d deal with it when the time comes. Marseille could easily be convinced as long as she let her poke and prod what she wanted. That left Kestrel, the team’s U.S.S. veteran and overall mystery, if you asked about him, people would look around for him. Whether that was because of a reputation he made or because he trained personally under HUNK and along side Vector the other two legends of the U.S.S. Mr. Death and the ghost. She felt if need be she could sway him, after all he his a man and all men have the same weakness. In the front Kestrel had the odd feeling someone was thinking of him, he quickly shook it off and went back to his train of thought. Currently he was mentally bitching about being stuck with the misfit squad, really he couldn’t understand why, did it have something to do with the company party he teargassed, if it did then corporate couldn’t take a joke. His mind began to wander to what happened to Delta team and his lehrer, he hoped that they at least put a fight against whatever had killed them. As Kestrel finished his thoughts he saw the security room up ahead, he motioned for them stop and waved Sarge up to him. “What’s the news Kestrel, something ahead.” Sarge asked “Security room’s ahead, just thought I’d let you know that we should be ready for possible infected or survivors.” Kestrel answered with taking his eyes off the slightly ajar door leading to the security room. With that said the team stacked up and proceeded to the door, with a simple nod Anonymous opened the door, Sarge and Kestrel filed in and saw several infected milling about the room, with a nod they began to engage the infected. Sarge was putting two rounds in the infected’s chest and one in the head, while Kestrel was shooting each in the head once. After they had finished they counted eight infected dead, the rest of the team entered and began spreading out. Fox, moved to the security terminal and set up his laptop, and began sifting through data and footage. While he worked Marseille asked if she may gather samples from the dead infected. “Sir, I feel that if I were to gather samples and test them, I could develop an antivirus.” Marseille said stating her case, hoping for a yes. Sarge thought this over and right as he was about to answer his second in command spoke up. “Yes, start collecting your samples.” Lucky said, completely taking the wind out of Sarge’s sails for the no he was about say. With that everyone except for Fox, cast a look over towards Lucky wondering why she had subverted Sarge. Sarge was about to lay into Lucky for taking the command out of his hands when he heard Fox call out. “Guys, take a look at this.” Fox called as he pulled a video feed from earlier. As everyone crowded around they saw, Nikolai shoot one of his team and locked the door behind him as two others ran into frame, they could hear moans and growls through the video. What they saw shocked them, the infected ran up and started to viciously tear through the UBCS soldiers with their teeth, as they ate them, the team could hear the screaming of the men as they were slowly eaten alive. “Good thing I killed him then.” Kestrel said with a shrug as he went back to standing by the door that lead to the server room. The team began to go back to what they were doing, Sarge had decided to not argue with Lucky, after what he saw, he began to wonder what really happened in this city. As fox packed up they quickly moved down another bloody yet empty hall towards the server room, once inside Sarge began issuing commands. “Fox, delete anything on those servers that might be connected to Umbrella. Anonymous, Kestrel start setting up explosives along the servers we should blow them just incase something slips by Fox.” Sarge ordered without hesitation. Kestrel and Anonymous began placing MK3A2 concussion and Thermate-TH3 grenades all along the sever towers. It took about five minutes but they had successfully wired everything up, Anonymous faked crying stating that it was just too beautiful. “Fox, you finished yet.” Sarge asked impatiently. “Just finished.” Fox said as he began to pack up his laptop, wires and hard disk drives. With that they left the room, Anonymous pulled a string that connected all the grenades pins together and ran while quietly chuckling to himself as the room went up in explosions and flames. “Next we head to the records room and destroy all the physical evidence, let’s go team.” Sarge said as they began moving down the stairwell.
Chapter 2View OnlineMagnificent Evil REduxChapter 2September 25, 1998 Raccoon City, Missouri 0017 Hrs 40 hours after initial infection 43 hours after contact lost with HUNK and Delta team 30 mins after Omega team deployment Omega team had just destroyed the server room and was now moving to the records room to destroy all physical evidence of Umbrella’s involvement. As they were moving down the hallway they heard voices come from one of the side rooms, Anonymous looked at the door and then looked towards Sarge for whether or not they should open it. Sarge nodded and Anonymous and Kestrel stacked on the door, Red opened the door and Anonymous and Kestrel entered. “What do you got?” Sarge asked since heard no gunshots and only some whimpering. “Civilians, three women, sir.” Kestrel responded “Sir what do we do with them?” Anonymous asked. One of the women looked at Kestrel and Anonymous and assumed they were military. “Oh thank god, please you have help us, we were starting to think rescue wasn’t coming.” she said as got out from behind the desk she was cowering behind. “Hold on, I’ll ask command.” Sarge said as he contacted command, “Command, Omega here, we found several civilians requesting instructions.” “Omega, terminate any survivors we can’t risk a single witness.” Command ordered “Command, say again, it sounded like you said terminate.” Lucky asked making sure she heard command right. “What do mean terminate, your not here to help us?” the other woman asked as if someone had just drowned her puppy. “Affirmative Omega, Corporate wants no witnesses or chances. You are to terminate any survivors you find, that’s your orders.” Command repeated ensuring the team understood. Before anyone could say anything, suppressed gunshots were heard along with a quick scream. “Command, survivors terminated.” Kestrel calmly said as he walked out of the room and reloaded his now empty MP-5/10. “What the fuck did you do, you just killed innocent people!” Sarge practically screamed at Kestrel. Kestrel looked up at his team leader and responded in a dead like tone, “Following orders, your the team lead, you should know what that’s like. Instead of questioning what just happened, we should keep moving the blood’s sure to draw the infected this way.” as he finished he simply shoved his past Sarge and kept moving down the hallway. “Kestrel get back here, what the fuck are you thinking?” Sarge commanded as tried to keep his anger under control. Kestrel turned around and walked right up to Sarge, “I was thinking that I’d do my job and follow orders. You know what, let's put in terms you’d understand, hmm. If we let them live Umbrella would have us killed, how I don’t know, but they would, also the civilians would also die, did you actually believe they’d have a chance to survive any further? I follow orders they die quickly, we live and corporate remains happy with us, they have no need for toys that won’t play the game.” Kestrel finished his rant and turned around and kept moving towards the records room. Sarge hated to admit it but, Kestrel had a point, if corporate had no qualms with killing survivors then what would they do if Omega suddenly lost it’s usefulness, more than likely send another team to kill them or hunt them with their B.O.W.s. With that train of thought Sarge gave a slight shiver, but he remained steadfast and focused. “Let’s move Omega.” he quietly ordered as they continued after Kestrel. Anonymous who was in the room with Kestrel and the survivors, was wondering if killing survivors was a mercy after they had most likely been through. Anonymous was made of tough stuff as he wasn’t even fazed when command ordered the death of the survivors or when Kestrel turned his gun on them and put two in each head, maybe he would have been affected had there been any children, but for three simple women, he was more concerned about what he had stepped in. Marseille was appalled that corporate would waste such potential test subjects, for all they had known they had antibodies for the virus. But she digresses, in the end it was probably the best decision, the survivors would have been more trouble than they’re worth. Fox while disgusted at what they had been ordered to do, but he understood where Kestrel was coming from, remembering when he was betrayed by his fellow thieves when he was no longer needed, what bothered him was how quick Kestrel followed the order, that meant either he was loyal to corporate to a fault, he was psychotic or he was simply a survivor, that did what was necessary to fight on. Either way he needed to keep an eye on Kestrel. Lucky was shocked to say the least, that in a heartbeat, they would be ordered to kill survivors, and Kestrel would do it without a second thought. Of course it was the right move, she couldn’t deny that. What shocked her was Kestrel’s words that corporate would kill them if they didn’t follow their orders like toy soldiers, she wondered was that basic intuition or experience talking. Had Kestrel’s former team disobeyed and been killed or worse, whatever it was she had to strengthen her resolve lest she been seen as insubordinate when she has to kill a survivor. Kestrel was mentally berating himself, how could he just kill them like that, like they were nothing. Not a minute before they had been asking them for help, he had to remind himself that they weren’t human they were bags of meat that all, not people just bags. Kestrel was wondering if he could retire after this, just forget everything he had to do for Umbrella, but before that he had to finish this mission. Red was taking up the rear and wondering if this was any different from what he did in Afghanistan. He wasn’t paying attention when the door to his left broke open and a dozen infected fell upon him, with a roar, if could only scream as they began tearing into him. “Ahhhhh-ghrk!” Red scream was cut short as an infect clamped down on his throat and ripped away. “Shit!” was Lucky could say as she leveled her Aug at the feeding frenzy of infected and began spraying into the accumulated mass of decomposed flesh. Behind her Anonymous, Marseille, Sarge, Fox and Kestrel started to engage as well. More infected were streaming out of the door and into the hallway, they had no choice but start falling back as the infected surged towards them. As they were falling back, Sarge found a door that branched off in a separate hallway. “In here, move!” Sarge yelled as prepped two of his M26 fragmentation grenades. As the team entered he tossed them in the hallway as he shut the door behind him. Kestrel and Anonymous were pushing a large desk against the door as a brace. Once they were in they quickly moved towards the records room, not wanting to be ambushed by more infected. Once they reached the records room they all took a quick breather, Sarge was pacing back and forth. “Damnit, why the fuck wasn’t anyone paying attention, we should’ve heard the infected or at least noticed the door was going to give!” Sarge yelled wondering if he could have done something to prevent this death. “He died cause he got complacent he wasn’t paying attention and he paid the price, people die, we’re soldiers, get the fuck over it.” Lucky said as she decide that now was not the time for their ‘leader’ to get all broken up over a death. Sarge gave Lucky a good hard look, “No one was supposed to die, easy job, in and out.” he said as an attempt at an explanation. “Always expect deaths, a good leader would know this!” Lucky rebutted as she got closer to Sarge, poking him in the chest. “Enough! He’s dead that’s it, it’s over, let’s finish this so we can leave.” Fox said as he worried if the arguing would attract the infected. As he was intervening Kestrel motioned for Anonymous and Marseille to get close to him. “While the kids argue, I say we just rig the whole place go up like a roman candle, Anonymous, you got enough bang for that?” Kestrel asked “Damn skippy son, I got enough to torch the whole building if you want.” Anonymous said with pride and joy in his voice. “Alright while you do that, Marseille, you need to burn some random documents for corporate if they’re watching.” Kestrel said wanting to cover all the bases. “Oui, and what will you be doing, eh?” Marseille asked as she ignited the pilot light in her XM 42 flamethrower. “Me I’ll be helping Fox deal with the kids.” Kestrel said as he turned towards Sarge and Lucky who were only being separated by Fox. As Kestrel walked up to the arguing pair, a large vent grate was knocked off and several T-Virus mutations known as ‘lickers’ crawled in, they immediately noticed the loud arguing and began closing on the noise hoping to find their next meal. The first licker pounced on Kestrel, he was only able to keep the beast at bay by using his left forearm as a brace against it’s throat. “Get it off me!” Kestrel yelled as he was trying to avoid getting chomped on. Fox was the first to react and raised his Calico at the licker and began unleashing a storm of 9x19mm at the creature’s back, Sarge and Lucky had began to attack the other lickers that had crawled in. Anonymous focused on setting his last grenade to ensure nothing in the room would survive the firestorm that would be ignited. Marseille had just finished burning the papers she gathered and turned her flamethrower on a licker that had tried to pounce on her. The licker that had pinned Kestrel had died with a screech and fell off of him, Kestrel quickly got up and began shooting at the remaining lickers, within a few minutes all the lickers were dead. They had began to make their way towards the exit, Anonymous being the last out as he had the string connected to all the pins in the grenades. As he was heading out a licker that was playing dead pounced on him and began to bite through the armor on his arm. Marseille noticed that the doors behind her had slammed shut on their own, she began to look around for Anonymous, noticing he wasn’t there with them, she called out to the team. “Anonymous isn’t with us, he must still be inside, eh!” she called out, getting their attention. Sarge, stopped and turned around heading back to the records room. “Go, I’ll get him!” Sarge called as he ran back, hoping nothing serious had happened to the demoman. As he neared the room he angled himself so he would shoulder check the door open. When he did this he saw that Licker was feasting on Anonymous, Sarge swore and shot at the licker, killing it. As he neared he saw that Anonymous was moving, thinking that he was still alive somehow, he ran over to him. Sarge kneeled by his fallen comrade, “Hey, hang in there I got you.” he said as he removed Anonymous’ helmet. Once the helmet was removed, the now infected Anonymous lunged at Sarge and pinned him underneath his heavily armored body and was snapping away at Sarge’s arm. Sarge began to struggle, but screamed out in pain as he was bit through his forearm. He knew that no matter what he was done for, he needed to complete his mission, he began to feel around for the string that connected all the grenades together. As he found it Anonymous once again tore a chunk of his flesh off and made a scream like howl at Sarge. “Omega, this is Sarge, get out of here, I’m detonating the grenades, Anonymous didn’t make, Lucky, you're in charge now, don’t kill my team.” Sarge said as final words as he pulled the string, five seconds later the whole room went up in flames. From the lobby of the building the remaining members of Omega team could hear the explosion. They knew that signaled the loss of two more teammates, leaving Omega team nearly halved. They all heard Sarge’s final words, no one had any misconceptions on what to do now. Lucky contacted command, “Command, this is Omega, records room and any physical evidence destroyed, reporting three members KIA, requesting further instructions.” “Omega, you are to rendezvous with your driver outside and move towards an Umbrella facility, we have a spy trying to gather information there along with several survivors who need to eliminated attempting to use the facility’s railway to escape the city, also you must recover Sherry Birkin, your extraction hinges on this, do not fail.” Command said with anger and a sneer. “Affirmative command, Omega out.” Lucky said quickly, as she ended the conversation. As she finished the team went outside and saw the Peacekeeper they arrived in waiting for them, they quickly entered the now spacious vehicle. The Peacekeeper began to move on towards the team’s next objective.
Chapter 3View OnlineMagnificent Evil REduxChapter 3September 25, 1998 Raccoon City, Missouri 0107 Hrs. 41 hours after initial infection 44 hours after contact lost with Hunk and Delta team 1 hour 20 minutes after Omega Team Deployment The remaining four members of Omega team, sat in silence inside the now spacious Peacekeeper, even their driver was silent. The look on the remaining four members was that of conviction, they were all aware that command would not allow them to leave should they fail any of their objectives. Outside the city was except for the sporadic gunfire and screams, all around you could see the black billowing smoke of the fires that were able to spread unimpeded by the now nonexistent Raccoon City fire department. Ahead of the Peacekeeper was the entrance to large underground Umbrella facility, around one could see several empty Peacekeepers bearing the UBCS logo and several RPD police cars and SWAT vans. Omega’s Peacekeeper slowed down so it could safely navigate the impromptu vehicle barricades, once past it pulled into the open delivery bay. It slowly came to a stop and Omega team disembarked the vehicle, once they did, the Peacekeeper began to drive away back into the hell that was Raccoon City. “Alright we gotta kill the spy and the survivors, then we need to retrieve this little girl, Sherry Birkin, otherwise we’re not leaving here alive. Let’s finish this and go home.” Lucky said as she reloaded her Aug and checked her Desert Eagle. With that said the team wordlessly continued towards the entrance to the main facility, along the floor empty magazines and casing were littered. Once they reached the entrance to the lobby of the facility they saw several bodies wearing standard U.S.S. gear, apparently they were not the first team to be sent in. As they continued, they could hear someone talking up ahead. “Ada, hurry up we need to find the train controls and meet up with Claire and Sherry.” a smooth male voice said. “Hey pretty boy I got a job to do, you wanted to wait for me, so now you wait.” the voice now identified as Ada said in response. Unknown to the bickering survivors Omega team had stacked up outside the door ready to run in and end them. On the right side of the door was Kestrel and Lucky, the right side was Fox and Marseille. With a simple nod Kestrel kicked open the door and Fox, Lucky and Marseille filed in. The two survivors turned around and Ada was shot by Fox in her stomach twice. The other survivors ducked to the side behind a metal desk, as he pulled up his H&K VP70, as he checked his magazine and found he had only six rounds left in the eighteen round magazine. As he peaked out to fire a single bullet from Marseille’s Browning BDM hit him in his shoulder causing him to lose his grip on his handgun and it was sent flying across the room. The sound of footsteps could be heard, Lucky looked down at the injured man, as Fox looked over Ada. This survivor was obviously RPD by his uniform, looking closely she could she his name tag ‘ L. Kennedy’, looking up she could understand why the other called him pretty boy, he had dark blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. Of course Lucky wasn’t interested in finding a playmate, she needed to know where the other survivors are. “Hey there handsome, I need some help finding your friends, wanna tell me anything.” Lucky said as knelt down towards him. “Go to hell, I’m not saying a thing.” L. Kennedy spat out at Lucky, while grimacing in pain from the gunshot to his arm. Lucky simply said nothing and shoved index and middle fingers into his gunshot wound and began wiggling them around. In a bored tone she said “I’m being nice, I could let my friend over there use you as a test subject to study the virus on, help me and I’ll simply shoot you in the head.” After she said this she stopped wiggling her fingers around, he began to catch his breath and nodded at Lucky. She removed her fingers all together as she waited for her answer, he looked towards the ground, “Claire and Sherry are waiting by the railway in a break room.” he said with shame. “Thanks handsome, Marseille you have until Kestrel and I return with the Birkin girl to study him and the virus, just don’t let it get out of hand.” Lucky said looking at Marseille, she looked towards Fox, “Check the spy’s body for any stolen data and make sure any data on the system hasn’t been moved or copied.” she saw Fox nod and began to frisk Ada’s body. “What you promised you’d just kill me!” Kennedy said as Marseille closed in on him. “I did, and I will, I’ll kill you when I get back.” She said dismissively as she motioned for Kestrel to follow her towards the other survivors’ location. ----With Fox and Marseille---- As Fox continued to search the dead woman he could hear screams of the now infected RPD survivor, he didn’t find anything on the body so he began to set up his laptop, noticed a small hard disk drive inside the terminal in front of him he quickly began to go through the drives data, as he finished, he pocketed the drive and continued to search through all the files recently accessed. Across the room, Marseille had strapped the young officer to a metal table with several leather belts she had with her, ensuring he won’t lunge at her when he turns. She had just injected him with the virus she procured earlier when they had destroyed the server room in city hall. Now she just had to wait until the virus took effect, in the meantime began to look around the room and saw an oddly metallic briefcase with the Umbrella logo, she grabbed and set it upon a desk as she opened it. Inside in two perfect rows sat both the T-virus and the antivirus, four containers each. She quickly closed the briefcase and placed in her pack, only thinking of what she could accomplish with both. She now realised she didn’t need her test subject, but decided to watch the virus take effect for both notes and mostly fun.
