I was walking from school with my friends, Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, Button Mash, and Pip. Scootaloo usually walks, or fly, with us, but she had to be somewhere today, probably with Rainbow Dash. Sweetie Belle was the first to leave the group when we reached Carousel Boutique. She waved as she used magic to open the door. Then Pip, then Button Mash, and then it was me, Tinker Heartstrings, to leave the group. As I watched Applebloom heading to Sweet Apple Acres, which is outside Ponyville’s main area, I notice something metal, and the rest of it was in a bush. I walked over to the bush, pulled the bush apart to see a robot. It looked like it went through a lot, there were dents covering the whole thing, wires were sticking out, and a weird looking syringe was in it’s back, but other than that it was in pretty good condition. I grabbed it’s arms and started dragging it to my home.

When I got home, I dropped the robot and sat down on the porch to catch my breath, then I heard the door open and someone say, “Hey honey, how was school?”

I said without looking, “Hey mom, School was okay, Miss Cheerilee wasn’t in today, but we still got homework. Anyways could you please help me get this robot in?”

My mom said with a sigh, “Alright, but this is the last time I use magic to bring something big you find. Next time you find something, just come home and grabbed a wheelbarrow, then go back for it.”

I said as I watched the robot levitate into the house, “thanks, mom, and I promise this will be the last time.” I got up and walked through the door. Mom was walking into the kitchen and the robot was heading to the basement or my workshop. My mom had a mint colored fur, and cyan colored hair and tail, with a white streak, yellow eyes. I said as I walked downstairs, “Call me up when it’s time for dinner.

My workshop was a complete mess, nuts and bolts were all over the room, the carpet was stained with oil. tools were everywhere, and a mug or two was on the desk. I looked at a corner to see a vacuum, a duster, and a trash can. I sighed, that was a quiet meaning that mom wanted this room cleaned, even after telling her over and over I don’t want this room cleaned. She stopped telling me, but that doesn’t mean she has stopped trying. I threw my bag into a spare chair, then grabbed my remote and turned on my music, it was a mixture of dubstep and classic music, I walked over to the robot and grabbed a screwdriver and got started on the robot. I removed the syringe out of it’s back and set on the table, then I got started removing the cover from the robot’s chest. Right as I removed it, I heard my music shut off and my mom say, “Dinner’s ready, come up and eat at the table, I don’t want that robot to try to attack a wall again.”

I said as I went upstair, “One time you accidently spilled soup into a robot and you won’t be able to forget it.” I sat down at the table and saw that dinner was a stew, it had celery, potatoes chunks, and other stuff I couldn’t put a name on. I was about to eat then I placed the spoon down and said, “Mom, I saw the cleaning stuff. How many times do I say it, I am not going to clean my workshop.”

Mom levitated the spoon down and said, “I placed them in there, not to tell you to clean, to give you a choice to clean. Now, can we please finished dinner?” I didn’t say, but I picked up the spoon and finished dinner. as I walking back to my workshop, mom said, “Remember, two hours working on the robot, then homework.” I just put up my right hand, to let her know that I heard and understand her.

When I got to the robot, I pulled off the cover of its chest and puzzled what I saw. It was more complicated than any other robot I repair. Well, for starters, it had red and black spiral crystal. I said as I leaned back, “I guess this is an all-nighter, I better get my homework done before I work on this robot.” I grabbed my bag, cleared a spot for my books, and got to work on my homework. When I check the clock on my desk. It was about 8:30 pm. I threw my homework into my bag, grabbed a hammer, and got started hammering out the dents. after the chest, I worked on the arms, legs, and finally the head. After I was done hammering, I took off the back cover, grabbed my mask off the hook and my torch. As I got the torch ready, I placed the mask head, then I shook my head, to mask over my face, and got started welding the hole closed. After I welded and scraped off the extra, it looked like it never happen. I got up to grab my crank battery, and wires, with the ends stripped. I placed my welding equipment back in there place, placed the covers back on, and hooked the battery up to the robot. I checked the battery to see if I had to crank it, lucky I didn’t have to. I turned the battery on and listened for any noise. Since there was none, I guess mom went to sleep or is relaxing in the bathtub. I set a timer on the light, and head to the cot on the other side of the room. I collapsed on it and closed my eyes, thinking what the robot does.

The next morning I heard someone say, “Sir, Sir, are you shut off? Do you need something?”

I said without opening my eyes, “Yeah, take one of those mugs on my desk and go get some coffee made for me.” Then I went back to bed. A few minute later, I heard a screaming coming from the kitchen. My eyes shot open and I ran up the stair, as I said, “Mom, what wrong?”

When I got through the door, I saw mom leaning on the counter trying to relax, probably from screaming, and the robot making coffee. Mom said when she saw, “Sorry to scare you, honey, your new robot just scared me. I usually see you with the new robot, so I didn’t expect it.”

I calmed down and said as I pushed the robot away, “Don’t worry about the coffee. Since I’m up, I’ll handle it.”

Mom said, “When did you fix him?”

I said after I finished making the coffee, “I fixed him yesterday night, but I just plugged him in. He must have turned himself on. So do you have work today?”

Mom nodded and said, “I’m afraid I have to, I’ll be back around dinner.”

I nodded and said, “don’t worry, it’ll be good tomorrow. You never work on Sundays.”

Mom smiled and said, “You remind me of when you were young. You always had a way to cheer me up, it’s always like magic.”

I blushed and said, “I know, you told me that thousands of times.”

She said as she was heading back upstairs, “Well this is thousands plus one.”

I stood there with my cup in hand, then the robot said, “So your name is honey and where does this mom work?”

I turned to him and said, “My name is not honey, it’s Tinker. My mom works at the music store. So can turn yourself on, do you have an off switch?”

The robot said, “what is an off switch?”

I said as I took a cup of coffee, “Note to self, this robot doesn’t have an off switch.” After I was done, I said, “Why don’t you follow me to my room to meet your robotic friends.” I walked to my bedroom, open the door, and walked in.

Birds were flying around, mice were scurrying about, fish swam in a tank, and toy soldiers were pacing across my bookshelf. I walked in and plopped on my bed. Birds landed on my chest, but they flew off when the new robot came in and said, “Um, there was something sticking in my back.”

I sat up and said, “The weird syringe. Why do you want to know about it.”

The robot said, “I don’t I just want to know where it is.”

I was about to answer when mom knocked on the door and said, “Honey, I’m off to work.”

I said, “K mom. The syringe is on the desk in the basement.” I pushed the robot and the other followed. I shut the door and changed my clothes. As I was walking out of my room, I grabbed my bag and walked out the door.

I headed to one of my friend’s house. I knocked on the door. Pip answered the door and said, “Tinker, how’s it going, I heard you found a robot.”

I smiled and said, “I always find robots. anyways your parents home?”

He smiled and said, “They just left a few minutes ago, so come on in.” I walked into the house went into the front room and plopped down in a beanbag. Pip came in carrying two cans of soda. He tossed me one and I caught it. He said as he plopped down in the other one, “So, you want to play the usual game.

I shrugged my shoulders and said as I opened the can, “Yeah, sure. I think I can beat you this time.”

He laughed and said as he put the game into the system, “Yeah right, you keep saying that, but it never happens.” He grabbed two controllers and tossed me one.

I said as I caught, “This might be different.” We played for hours, and sadly, I didn’t win any of the matches. I looked at the time and said as I set down the controller, “Sorry, I have to get going. My newest robot is probably going nuts.”

Pip said with a smile, “I knew you got a robot.”

I said as I grabbed my bag, “You know I always get a new one, See you on Monday.” I ran out the door. When I got home I opened the door, and something made me stop in the doorway. Mom was standing in front of the new robot. I said, “Mom, didn’t know you were going to be home early.”

Mom shook her head turned to me and said, “Work wasn’t that busy, So Vinyl let me go home early. How was your day?”

I said as I put my bag on the ground, “It’s was fun, I didn’t win anything, but it was fun.”

I went to the kitchen, got into the cupboard and pulled out a bag of chips, and headed downstairs to my workshop. I shut the door and locked it. I grabbed my mask and my torch, then sat down and got to work. When I checked the clock, I saw it was a quarter to seven. I set the stuff down and walked upstairs. There was a pizza on the table and a note. I placed down the screwdriver and picked up the note and read it, “I wasn’t feeling well, so I got pizza and went to bed.”

I turned around and saw the robot sneaking downstairs. I said, “Hey, where do you think you’re going.”

The robot turned to me and said, “Tinker, I was just going downstair to see what you're working on.”

I shrugged, grabbed a plate, and placed some pizza on it, then I put the rest of the pizza in the fridge. and headed upstairs to my room. I shut the door and laid on my bed. After I finished dinner I placed the plate on the desk and went to bed.

I woke up to what sounded like a small whine, I checked the clock in the hallway, it was 11:30 P.M. I decided to get a glass of water then back to bed, I walked downstairs and saw something that stood there with my jaw dropped in disbelief. My mom was on her knees in front of the robot, naked. I said once I found my voice.”What is going on.”

The robot jumped and said, “I was just….um….doing nothing.”

I walked up to mom and said, “Mom, are you okay?” I didn’t get a reply. I stop and thought about how to approach this, and decide to do the one thing that will make her mad, but it will help me relax. I slowly inched my pointer finger and poked her breast. She didn’t react to it. I grabbed the screwdriver off the table, turned to the robot and said, “What did you to do mom. If you don’t tell me, I will tear off your chest, rip out the crystal, and smash it.”

The robot backed away and said, “I-I-I only did what my program is. She is fine, just under mind control. Here take the controller.”

I snatched the controller away from him, it looked like a really small computer, it could easily fit in my pocket. It had two holes, a button, a screen, and a keyboard. I said as I set it on the table, “What does it do and how do I make it stop working on mom.”

The robot said, “you just type what you want the pony to do, or you can tell them what to do. Give it a try.”

I look him, suspiciously and said, “Stand up.” Mom didn’t do anything. I walked over to the controller and typed in, stand. Mom stood up. I typed in, say who you are.

Mom said, “I am Lyra Heartstrings and I am here to serve Master.”

I suddenly started getting these weird images in my head, mom holding my penis, my penis in her mouth, and others that I can’t describe. I shook my head and said as I typed turn off, “This thing is evil or evil as well. I going to get my mom out of this and smash the controller.” Once I confirmed the command, Mom fell flat on her face with a thud. I dropped the controller and I said, “In my workshop, there is a box with a heart on it, bring it up here, now.” The robot ran downstairs. I kneeled next to mom and rolled her onto her back, her eyes were closed and she looked peaceful. Then I heard the robot running up the stairs, I turned around and grabbed the box from the robot and opened it, inside was a small robot. I grabbed the robot, turned it on and placed it next to mom’s face. The robot climbed onto mom’s face and started a scan of the face. After about a minute, the robot glowed green and went back into the box. I sighed as I shut the box, then I said, “Get her back in bed, dressed, and no funny business.” I walked into the kitchen, grabbed a drink of water, gulped it down, and headed off to bed.
