On the run

Previous Chapter

When I fell down, I hit a tree first. Breaking tree limbs and eventually the ground. I looked up and I could barely see the window I had jumped out from. I lifted my self off the ground and I couldn't help but notice the pain flowing in my left fore leg. I automatically knew that I had broken my leg, I just had to at least make it to the forest across from me.

I took a few steps, before falling forward. I looked at the forest, I had a long ways to go. I quickly trotted to the forest trying to ignore the pain in my leg. I got to the edge of the forest and hid behind a bush, as Celestia and her Pegasus guards landed where I had fallen. They flew off after what felt like an eternity. I took my eyes away from my leg, judging from the injury I would say that it would be some time till it was healed.

I was about to use my magic, till I thought about how Celestia could sense my magic. I decided to go a little deeper into the forest to find a place to hide and heal. This forest was dark and gloomy, there was no sign of a trail near by. About an hour had gone by, when I decided to try using magic to heal what I could.

I felt pain for a moment as I used my magic to heal my leg. A moment later I was done. "This should be less painful" I said as I heard the sound of something walking in the distance. I quickly looked around to find a place to hide. A fallen tree was the closes so, I leaped behind the tree and waited for who ever was approaching. The pony turned out to be Celestia herself and her Pegasus guards. I bit my lip knowing that I caused her to come down here by using my magic.

Surrendering was my only option, if any. I needed a miracle and fast. Just then howls surrounded me and the others. Five wooden animals appeared . They were fixated on Celestia and her guards. I took this moment to exit the area. While limping, I could hear the sounds of pain echoing of the tree. It seems that Celestia had won.

Day light was rising from the tree lines, no doubt it wasn't morning and Celestia wanted the sun light to help find me. I stumbled out of the forest, and quickly noticed a cottage. From what I knew, it wasn't empty. I could hear humming coming from behind a bush on the opposite side of the road leading up to the cottage.

"I should keep moving, but that song was calm and lovely reminds me when I was young and happy" I said debating on what to do. I crept ever so softly, gently moving towards the sound of music. Once at the bush I pushed it away with my hooves, ignoring the pain in my left. It was a mare with a light pink mane with a yellow coat. She was humming as she poured water from a watering can, onto flowers. It took me a moment to notice that she was a Pegasus.

Back home Pegasus are rare, mainly because there's hardly any weather conditions. 'I wonder if she knows anything about the me or how much of the attack' I thought. She had just emptied the can when she turned around. She noticed me and fear ran over her face as she dropped the can and squeaked "Ah". I thought I was done for till she lowered her head. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you " I said seeing that she was shocked and not afraid of me.

She looked at me with her blue eyes and replied softly "no forgive me, I shouldn't of screamed". 'That was a scream?'I thought as I slightly raise a brow. She eyed the ground not looking at me. "I'm sorry for scaring you, I just wanted to tell you that your humming reminds me of my life back home" I said feeling a little embarrassed. Her cheeks went a little pink before speaking softly "thanks".

"I didn't catch your name" I said with a slight smirk. She lowered her head a bit hiding in her hair, before saying her name in a soft tone that I couldn't make out. "I'm sorry I didn't catch that" I asked. She got even more nervous and shy. She was about to say something when a familiar pink pony jumped in out of nowhere. She was the exact same pony from the train, her pink mane matched her personality 'over energetic'.

"Fluttershy, Fluttershy, are you ready about the meeting we're having later, you know with Princess Celestia?" Pinkiepie said as she looked at me "Hey I never seen you before" she said before gasping and bursting away with incredible speed. I turned to Fluttershy and and lifted one of my eye brows. "Is that normal?" I asked as she avoided eye contact.

I looked at her a moment before I realized that it was almost eight by looking at the sun. "I would love to stay and chat, but I have to get going. Then I stepped with my left hoof in a wrong way and a small snap leaked from my leg. The pain shoot through my leg and into my chest causing me to fall forward onto my face. I got up and I felt my checks go pink due to the embarrassing fall I just did.

"Are you okay, that looked like it hurt" Fluttershy said with a caring expression. "I'm fine, just tripped in the woods that's all" I lied. "Oh, ok" she replied with a slight worried expression. For then on I kept my fore leg suspended so I wouldn't hurt myself or cause unwanted attention. However it changed when eveypony started looking at me, they were noticing that my front hoof was not touching the ground.

I was getting too much attention and I knew that sooner or later Princess Celestia would find me or worse I might find her. I walked into town center, looking for the train station that hid some where near the town. "I don't know where I'm going" I told myself as I bumped into a familiar pink pony. 'Great' I thought as she started talking in her over joyous tone. "You need help going someplace in town?" She questioned with a big smile. "Um... yes" I said unsure how to respond. "Great she said taking me by the hoof and dragging me off. 'What have I got myself into now?'
