The badlands is a place filled to the brim with changelings. Many ponies have lost their lives trying to fight them off. But, they have no choise. Equestria is completely taken over by the Everfree forest. Luckily, the mountains separating the badlands from Equestria prohibit the forest from expanding further.
Dark Vortex, a cowardly pony with a parasprite as his best friend, has been living in the badlands since he was very young. His life, and his friend's, is about to change.
