Wild Horse meets Equestian Girls
A day at the shopping district(old)
Previous ChapterNext ChapterSunset pov
You were walking around what appeared to be a downtown shopping area just letting your ring absorb the language being spoken. You’d had a rather embarrassing encounter when you found that the language Red spoke wasn’t the native tongue of this place. The person she’d stopped to ask for directions to this world's equivalent to your worlds bank had looked at you in the same way the high class and noble ponies looked at foreigners. At least that gave you a possible story if the locals questioned you, all you had to do was say you were new to the country and that your documents were stolen from you.
So now you were just walking around letting the ring absorb the language while keeping a slight accent from Red’s language, a perfect disguise. That it would also neatly explain her not knowing the local currency to well.
After an hour or two of passively gathering some low emotion voices her ring’s spell matrix had a passable understanding of the language, and had given her a distinctive accent. With that she attempted to once again talk to some pon=person? Body? Well horse-apples it seems she didn’t make grammar a priority to the ring, so even though in translated her words to the chosen language and automatically translated perfectly for her it wouldn’t make her sound…. She’s gonna sound like an idiot unless she actually put some effort into learning the language.
“This, could be problem.”
“Hey girl, what are you doing outta school!” turning you saw a blue-haired guy coming towards you, he was wearing some sort of uniform and you could see some sort of boxy weapon attached to his belt.
Not knowing what the uniform meant you turned and ran, you could escape into the alleys. Of course it wasn’t that simple, the alley you’d chosen had been fenced. You activated you ring and floated yourself over before running again only to hear a pair of feet land behind you. Taking a look you saw the the guy had vaulted over the fence and was still after you.
Thinking of how to escape you activate another ring and point it to the floor behind you.
*zap gloop*
And reliquidfied the concrete before putting more effort into running, taking a quick look back you saw the guy actually jump over the liquid cement.
“Bucking seriously!”
You reactivate the telekinetic ring and launched yourself to the nearest roof, only to feel two pinpricks on the back of your leg. There was a brief flash of pain and your vision blackened.
Ranma pov
While looking down from the roof of the shopping district you’d found a boiler closet and switched back into a guy for the first time in three days. But knowing how the curse seemed to attract water to you, you’d done a simple test and meditated for an hour in the middle of some leaky pipes. It had occurred to you while watching Flame-head that magic could be predicted and controlled, so why not try to master the curse?
After staying female for three days it seemed that the water attraction part of the curse had relaxed, so there had to be some sort of balance that would allow you to stay male when you wanted to. The trick was to find the tipping points for both and stay in between them when possible, you’d found that staying three days in curse form at least was needed for the curse to relax, but how much till you needed to activate it again?
“Heh, a problem for later. I least I have a starting point now.”
Jumping from the roof to the street below you joined the crowd and started looking around for a sign he could read, with all the different writing styles he was seeing he was pretty sure he was in the United States, Canada, or Mexico. The people hear spoke in english so probably the U.S. or Canada, then again there is Britain but it was prone to rain there a lot and with his luck it would of rained for a bit each day if this was Britain.
“I’ll find out soon enough, oh! A Sushi bar! Real food! Wait, do I have local money?”
Ducking into an alley and jumping to the roof, you start searching your pack you eventually find an old crumpled fifty American and two twenty Canadian loonies. Heh thank the kami that Genma had thought him to keep multiple currencies on tap for emergencies, even if you had to keep restocking when he eventually stole your cache. Slipping the three bills into your pocket you packed up and jumped down.
A small but actually satisfying meal later you were broke but knew for a fact you were in America, on a border city in the north called Canterlot. He found out most shops and restaurants would take both currencies, with that info in hand you start looking around for hiring signs, the old man running the sushi shop had let him see his so he could know what to look for.
While you found a few places they wouldn’t hire you due to your age, they somehow knew when you were lying about it to. So with an unsuccessful few hours you took to the roofs for a break, but hear a familiar voice cry out in shock.
“Sunset!”
Rushing to the edge of the roof and looking into the alley you see her hit the ground and stop moving, two thin wires stuck to her leg sending out small sparks. With a yell you jump down and rip off the wires before turning to her attacker.
A young adult man in a blue uniform stared at you incredulously as you held the still live wires in your head and glared at him. Before he seemed to let training take over and disconnected the current wires for a new set, and stared you down.
3rd person
The two men stared at each other watching every move their opponent made, sizing each other up. Two set of blue eyes deadlocked at each other.
Then as if on a silent signal Ranma rushed forward and the officer pulled the trigger of his stun gun.
