Hellsing Ultimate: Equestria
Chapter 1: A Real Fucking Vampire
Previous ChapterNext ChapterBraveheart was in his house in Canterlot, sitting at a small desk he had in the living room. The sound of pencil lead on paper was the only thing that could be heard. He wrote down his last couple of sentences to his letter and sent it off to Princess Twilight. With Celestia and Luna gone, he was the one to rule Equestria. As the last bits of the letter dissipated into smoke, Braveheart gave a sigh and put a hand to his forehead. Ever since his marriage with Sunset Shimmer, he hasn't been the same. He could still remember her death at the Crystal Empire all those years ago. He couldn't live without Sunset, so he had used an old time spell Twilight recommended to go back and kill Sombra before he killed Sunset. When Braveheart reverted back to his time, Sunset was still alive. He stood up and walked upstairs to his room. As he opened the door, Sunset Shimmer turned her head from a mirror. She gave Braveheart a warm smile as he stepped inside. He returned the smile.
“Hey hon',” he said.
“Hey,” Sunset replied. “You all right?”
“I'm fine,” Braveheart nodded. “Just...thinking, that's all.”
“About what?” Sunset asked.
“You wouldn't know,” Braveheart said, sitting down on the bed.
“You sure?” Sunset questioned. Braveheart nodded.
“It's complicated,” Braveheart quietly said.
“Well, feel free to talk about it if you want,” Sunset said. Braveheart closed his mechanical wings and laid down on the bed. He didn't get much time to rest though, as letter smoke flew in through the window and materialized into a scroll in front of him. He caught it quickly with his mechanical arm and looked over the seal.
“This isn't from Twilight,” Braveheart said, confused. He inspected the seal. It was a small shield shape divided into four sections. The upper part of the shield read “Hellsing”. Below it, in the top left section, read “We are on a mission from God.”
“Huh,” Sunset said. “That's odd. I've seen that symbol before.”
“Where?” Braveheart asked, looking at Sunset.
“Back in the human world,” Sunset explained. “But, it was merely a scrap of paper I found in the garbage one day. A kid had drawn it, but I never knew what it meant.”
“Interesting,” Braveheart said, looking back at the scroll. He opened it up and read it.
“Dear Braveheart,
There is something very important that I need you to do for me. Don't worry about how I know who you and Sunset Shimmer are. I'll explain later. I need you to take on the responsibility of maintaining the Hellsing Organization. I’m too old to keep going. Go to the border of Equestria at Manehattan Bay. I’ll be waiting for you and Sunset Shimmer there. I’ll explain everything then. Thank you in advance.
Integra Fairbrook Windgates Hellsing”
Braveheart put the letter on his bedside table and stood up.
“Come on,” he said to Sunset. Sunset Shimmer nodded and picked up her tote. She slung it over her shoulder as Braveheart did so with his shoulder bag. Braveheart locked the door as they left and took Sunset’s wrists.
“Hold tight,” Braveheart suggested. Sunset nodded and gripped his wrists. Braveheart opened up his wings and took off with Sunset in tow.
Braveheart set Sunset Shimmer down before closing his wings mid-fly and dropping onto the wooden dock.
“All right,” Sunset said, looking around. “Where’s this Integra character?”
“We should know her when we see her,” Braveheart said. They looked around for a bit before noticing an older earth pony with a cigar in her mouth waving to them. They walked over. The mare had long, blonde hair that was greying, a tan coat, and a navy blue jacket with the Hellsing logo on the chest pocket and right sleeve. She had an eyepatch over her left eye.
“You must be Integra Hellsing,” Braveheart guessed, extending his mechanical arm. “Please excuse my…appendage.”
“Indeed I am,” Integra spoke, with a strong British accent. “And think nothing of your arm. My partner doesn’t even have one.”
“I’m sorry to hear that,” Sunset apologized, shaking Integra’s hand.
“Don’t be,” Integra said. “She does just fine the way she is.”
“I see,” Braveheart nodded.
“Anyway, back to important matters,” Integra said. “As I said in my letter, I am too old to continue as head of the Hellsing Organization, and I want you two to fill in for me.”
“Why us?” Sunset asked.
“I have seen what Braveheart and you are capable of,” Integra explained. “Through alchemy and other magic, I’ve been able to see you two through space and time. I deducted that you two would make excellent suitors for the organization.” Braveheart put some thought into this. With Sunset Shimmer at his side, they could both focus on the organization, while also attending to royal matters in Equestria. Braveheart turned to Integra.
“Very well,” he agreed. “We’ll take on the responsibility.”
“Thank you,” Integra nodded. “There are a few things you should be aware of.”
“And what might those be?” Sunset asked.
“One of them is how vampire hunting works,” Integra said.
“Excuse me?” Braveheart asked, unsure if he had heard her correctly.
“Vampire hunting,” Integra repeated. “That’s the Hellsing Organization’s job. Excuse me if that wasn't made clear earlier. Vampires can only be killed with these specially designed bullets we’ve created, if pierced through the head or heart.” Integra pulled a small handgun from her jacket and removed the magazine. She took out a bullet and gave it to Braveheart. The casing was gold with a silvery tip.
“What are these made of?” Braveheart asked.
“These bullets are custom silver, mercury tipped, blessed rounds,” Integra said. “If something is shot with these bullets, it will not get back up.”
“Wow,” Sunset breathed, amazed. “Anything else?”
“Yes,” Integra said. “Two, actually. Once I’ve finished explaining everything, the organization will come here through magical means. Just so you’re aware.”
“And the last thing?” Braveheart questioned. Integra lightly shuddered.
“In the basement of your house will lie Hellsing’s darkest secret,” Integra said. “Go there. Give him these.” Integra pulled out two long barreled handguns. A silver one and a black one. The etching on them read “Casull” on the silver gun and “Jackal" on the black gun. “My assistant will help you if necessary,” Integra added. Braveheart nodded.
“Is that all?” he asked.
“That is all,” Integra replied. “Good luck to both of you.” Suddenly, Sunset and Braveheart felt a cold wind pass by with immense force. Braveheart held Sunset close to keep her warm. They closed their eyes until the gust of wind had passed. Once it did, they opened their eyes and saw Integra gone. They looked at each other with confusion, then Braveheart took up Sunset and flew back to Canterlot.
Upon arriving back at their home, Braveheart and Sunset Shimmer immediately realized that something was different. For one, a young mare with an appendage that flowed out of the socket, glowing red and black, was standing at the entrance. She had bright yellow hair, bright blue eyes, and a tan coat. She was also wearing a Hellsing jacket. In her living arm, she held a massive anti-tank rifle. The Harkonnen. Any ordinary pony would have needed another two just to lift it, but this mare held it like she would a handgun. Braveheart and Sunset were impressed.
“Welcome back,” the mare said in a young British voice. “Integra has told me all about you. My name is Seras Victoria.”
“A pleasure to meet you Miss Victoria,” Braveheart said, shaking her hand.
“Same to you,” Seras said with a smile. She and Sunset shook hands, and they all stepped inside. Braveheart felt something off about the rug where the hatch to the Assassin’s armory was. It was radiating with black smoke.
“Go ahead,” Seras urged. “I promise you, my master won’t hurt either of you.” Sunset and Braveheart looked at each other with worry. Braveheart pulled away the rug and broke the welds keeping the hatch shut. He carefully opened the hatch and stepped inside, Sunset right behind him. As Braveheart helped Sunset down, Seras hopped down with them. Her demonic appendage flowed over to the darkest corner of the armory, and the group walked over. Braveheart cast a light spell to see, and he and Sunset jumped at what they saw.
In the corner laid a pale corpse with a dark grey coat, wearing a black strait jacket keeping it contained. Its black hair was a mess behind its head, and its folded wings were bat-like. Sunset put a hoof to her mouth.
“Oh gosh…” she gasped.
“What is this?” Braveheart asked. “How is this corpse Hellsing’s darkest secret?” Seras put a hand on Sunset’s shoulder and turned her around.
“What are you doing?” Sunset asked.
“Please don’t freak out,” Seras said. “What I’m about to do may seem bad, but I assure you, I know what I’m doing.” Seras’s demon arm suddenly attacked Sunset, slashing open her side and spraying blood on the floor. Braveheart caught Sunset as she fell.
“What the hell was that!?!” Braveheart cried.
“Just wait,” Seras said.
“For what?!” Sunset raged. Braveheart pulled out a roll of bandages and started to wrap them around Sunset’s side. Seras didn’t speak. She didn’t need to. They all heard a small slurp coming from the corpse. They looked to see it hunched over, licking the blood off the stone floor. Sunset and Braveheart could only watch, panicked. The corpse stood up, breaking free from the sleeves of the strait jacket. It gave out an evil, demonic laugh that made Sunset shiver with fright.
“It’s good to be back!” The figure cried with a grin on its face. The figure turned to Seras.
“Hello Alucard,” Seras said. “My master.”
“Hello again, Police Girl,” Alucard said, in a deep, demonic voice. “How long have I been asleep this time?”
“18 years, if I recall correctly,” Seras said. Braveheart finished wrapping the bandages around Sunset’s waist. He stood back up and approached Alucard, revolver drawn.
“Who are you?” Braveheart asked. Alucard turned his head. His purple tinted eyes seemed to pierce through Braveheart's soul.
“In this new body, I have gained the ability of flight,” Alucard said. “But who I am remains the same.” His voice increased immensely in volume, almost to rival the Royal Canterlot Voice. “I AM THE NO LIFE KING! THE KING OF VAMPIRES! THE IMMORTAL MONSTER! I AM ALUCARD!” His voice reverted to normal. “But you may call me Alucard or The Crimson Fucker.” Seras facepalmed.
“Oh god,” she murmured. There was suddenly a knock on the door. Braveheart flew out of the armory and walked over to the door. He opened it up and found Fluttershy standing there. She was wearing a long red trench coat, white gloves with a black pentagon symbol on the back, rounded glasses that were very light reflective, and a wide red hat.
“Hello, Braveheart,” she quietly said.
“Hey Fluttershy,” Braveheart said. “What’s that you’re wearing?”
“Oh, it’s just a little something I felt like putting on,” Fluttershy replied. “I had it in my closet, and I kind of liked it. I thought I would look cool in it as Flutterbat.”
“I see,” Braveheart said. “Come on inside.” As Fluttershy walked inside, Sunset Shimmer climbed out of the armory as Seras and Alucard flew out. Fluttershy’s eyes went wide at the sight of Alucard.
“Oh my,” Fluttershy gasped. “What is that?”
“Allow me to introduce myself,” Alucard said. “I am Alucard. This one next to me is Police Girl.”
“Her actual name is Seras Victoria,” Sunset whispered to her. Fluttershy nodded.
“It’s nice to meet you, Alucard,” she said, shaking Alucard’s hand. “You too, Seras.” Seras tilted her head and gave a smile, revealing one of her fangs. That caused Fluttershy to step back.
“I won’t hurt you,” Seras said. “Don’t worry.” Fluttershy nodded. Alucard turned to Braveheart and Sunset. He kneeled down and put a fist over her chest.
“I am at your service, master Braveheart and master Sunset,” he said. Braveheart pulled out the Casull and the Jackal. He flipped them around to where the handles were facing Alucard. He looked up and gave a wicked grin. He stood up, took the guns and held them out.
“Oh, how I’ve missed you two,” Alucard chuckled. Fluttershy walked over to Alucard and took a look at the guns.
“What are these guns?” she asked.
“The Casull,” Alucard said, holding up the silver gun. “A semi-automatic handgun weighing 6 kilograms unloaded with a single stack magazine capacity of six .454 Casull cartridges plus one in the chamber. The barrel is 10 inches long and is too heavy and unwieldy for anyone else to use. But the gun is perfect for me.”
“That’s amazing,” Fluttershy breathed. Alucard moved on to the next gun.
“The Jackal,” he said, holding up the black pistol. “A specialized combat pistol made by my late ally, Walter C. Dornez for yours truly. The gun is 39 centimeters long and weighs 16 kilograms. It fires 6 armor piercing, blessed Macedonian silver jacketed, hollow tipped, explosive, 13 millimeter rounds per magazine, plus one more in the chamber. Nothing I shoot with this gun ever gets back up.”
“Damn,” Braveheart breathed. “Impressive description. I’d like to see these things in action.”
“You won’t have to wait long,” Sunset said, looking at her laptop. Braveheart ran over to her and inspected the recent news.
“There’s a vampire attack in Ponyville,” he announced. “Almost 50 innocent lives have already been taken. The vampires are currently at the town hall.” Alucard gave a shit-eating grin. He opened his mouth and put the slide of the Casull between his teeth. He turned his head, cocking the gun. He took out the Casull and did the same maneuver with the Jackal. Seras slid a massive round into her Harkonnen and put it over her shoulder.
“Knock, knock,” Alucard said.
“Who’s there?” Seras asked, smiling, her eyes now a shimmering red. Alucard grinned evilly.
“A real fucking vampire.”
