He was only coming down for one pony in particular and that was Gallant Shield. He was hoping that he could convince him to marry him so they could rule over Equestria together. Once he made it to Gallant Shield he was greeted by a very unhappy snarl. The male unicorn smirked lightly. "Now now, no need to growl at your king." Gallant Shield spat at him. "You are no king to me."he growled. He tried backing up further in the cell to get away from him but the chain around his ankles prevented him from doing so. He huffed and slumped back on the ground. Phoenix Force entered the cell and he gently caressed the side of the dark purple alicorn's cheek with his hoof. "I am not here to hurt you nor to banish you to Tartarus." he stated," I have come with a proposal." Gallant Shield pulled his face away from the stallion. "What kind of proposal?" Phoenix Force smirked. "I want you to be my bride. Together, we will rule Equestria, all of the ponies shall bow down to us." Gallant Shield growled. "I will not accept such a request. Besides, how can I be your queen when I am a stallion myself?" Phoenix Force's horn glowed. "My dear, you have truly underestimated the extent of my powers." The dark alicorn tried to struggle away once he saw the glow of his horn, but it was too late. A dark magic aura engulfed the young alicorn changing his internal and external parts from stallion to mares. Once the magic died down it revealed what had become of Gallant Shield. Now he had the body of a fit slender mare. His dark navy mane had grown till it brushed against the cold stone floor of the cell along with his tail. His wings perfectly perched against his delicate hips. His eyes now much larger and his lashes long and gentle as that of a butterfly's wing. Even a obsidian collar studded with bright magenta jewels now graced his neck. Phoenix Force's lip turned in a delighted smirk. "Oh my,"he purred,"You look even more beautiful than I ever imagined." The unicorn ran his hoof down the alicorn's body just to get the feel of his masterpiece. "Yes...the perfect body to bear my heirs.."he murmured. Gallant Shield overheard what he said and smacked his hoof away with his, now her, tail. "I would never bear children to such a vile creature like you!" She tried to use he magic to toss him out, but the collar flared and zapped her. She cried out in pain and her magic faded and she collapsed on her side. Phoenix Force shook his head lightly. "My dear, you have no say over what I use you for. Whenever you try to resist me like you did just now, that collar will give you a little shock to remind you of your place." "Now...."He used his magic to unlock the chains," You must be shown your new quarters." He watched the young alicorn rise to her hooves. He smirked. "Then later tonight, we shall have a proper date before plans fr our wedding commence." He was about to walk out of the cell before he turned to look back at her. "Oh, and you shall no longer be called Gallant Shield. It sounds too masculine. You will go by Gale from now on." Gale opened her mouth to object, but quickly closed remembering that she would be hurt if she opposed. She simply bowed her head and nodded to show she agreed with him. Phoenix Force grinned. "Now that is more like it." He headed back up the stairs and gestured with his tail for Gale to follow. Gale followed but kept her head down, not wanting to look at him. At the top of the stiars, Ember Heart was waiting for them. She gasped seeing what had become of Gale. "Gale.....?"the young pegasi stammered. Gale nodded softly. "Yes...It's me Ember." Phoenix Force turned to his sister/royal adviser. "Show my bride to her new room then come by my chambers. I have a list of requirements for our wedding." Ember Heart bowed her head to him. "Yes your majesty."she answered. Phoenix Force walked off and left the two alone. Ember Heart lifted her before giving Gale a big huge. "I'm so glad you're okay...." Gale wrapped one wing around the small orange mare. "Well..as okay as being turned into a mare..." Ember Heart pulled back a little to look her in the eyes. "I knew that he was going to do this to you...but I didn't know it would be this soon..." Gale nuzzled her red and yellow mane softly. "It's alright Ember, don't put yourself down for this." She tried to put on a smile to reassure her. "So....when does he want our wedding to happen?..." Ember Heart sighed. "Saturday. He's already having the other servants make room for the wedding." Gale nodded. "So soon..."she thought. She looked back at Ember Heart. "Well...better take me to my new room before your brother gets mad." Ember Heart nodded. "Yeah." Both mares walked off together towards Gale's new room. Once Ember Heart pushed open the doors, it revealed a very lavish room. The bed was decorated with purple and black covers made entirely of silk. The wall were painted illustrating a variety of the different shades of darkness. A set of doors opened out to a balcony that looked over what remained of Canterlot. Gale had a hard time finding something to say about the room. She had to admit, Phoenix was a jerk but he did have good taste. "I'll leave you to think Gale." Ember Heart gave her one last hug before she left the room, closing the doors behind her. Once alone, Gale walked over to the balcony and propped her hooves on the edge. There was a light wind that blew back her mane. She raised one hoof to touch the collar around her neck. "Guess this is my place now...." Author's Note That is the end of the first chapter. The next will pick up with Phoenix Force taking Gale on their date while the servants are setting up the wedding. Chapter 2- The DatePhoenix Force made his way over to Gale's room. He was dressed in his finest silver armor and he was levitating a violet rose for Gale. Once he was in front of her door, he knocked hard with his hoof. "Time for our date my bride."he called. Gale opened the door. She was wearing a lavender silk dress with black lace along the edges. It was embroidered with darker purple roses that grew darker as the dress reached the end of her tail. Her mane was tied back in a long braid, silver bands wrapped tightly to keep her mane in check. On her hooves were glass slippers that gently hugged against her. Phoenix Force couldn't help but blush upon seeing her beauty. He quickly shook that off , not wanting to grow soft on her. He then placed the violet rose in her mane. "There, now you look perfect my darling, and the collar I gave you matches your eyes perfectly." He smirked. Gale rolled her eyes. "Let's just get this over with." Phoenix Force took her hoof in his and lead her outside to the gardens. Many of the flowers glowed from the rays of moonlight hitting them. Gale looked in awe at how breathtaking the gardens were. Phoenix Force smiled seeing her reaction and he lead her over to a table that was already furnished with food for them. He let her sit down first before he sat across from her. "So my dear, are you happy with your new arrangements?"he asked. Gale into his red eyes. "Well...The bedroom is lovely...but it's still uncomfortable being a mare now..." she answered. He placed his hoof over hers. "You will adapt in time. Of course once we have little foals they'll need a strong mother to raise them." Gale made a face still not liking the idea of having kids with him. "You're still hung up on us having foals?" He chuckled lightly. "Why of course my beloved. Once we are married, you will be expected to carry my children." "Isn't there..some way we could..postpone the marriage?"she asked. Phoenix Force's eyes narrowed and he pulled her forward using his magic to yank her by her collar. "Our wedding will not be postponed! We are getting married this weekend whether you like it or not!"he snapped at her. He released her once he was done. Gale whimpered and rubbed her neck, now bruised from being yanked so hard. Phoenix Force noticed the marks on her neck. He felt of pang of sorrow in his heart for hurting her, but he brushed that aside. He gently cupped her face in his hooves. "Now now my dear, you see what you made me do? If you had not tried to move our wedding date, I would not have hurt you."he whispered soothingly to her. Gale turned away from him ,not wanting to look him in the eyes. Phoenix Force huffed lightly and he pulled his hooves back. "Well if you're just going to act like an immature filly then you shall be treated as such. Our date will be cut short. Head back to your chambers. You will not be allowed to leave till our wedding day. I will have guards posted to keep you inside." He got up and pointed toward the door. "Now go."he commanded. Gale slowly rose to her hooves and walked away from him. Some guards took her back to her room and the door were locked tight behind her. Gale threw off the clothes and crawled into bed. Tears threatened to fall from her eyes. Her heart ached in sadness, not because of Phoenix Force but because of her being treated and nothing more than a slave. She levitated the rose out of her mane and stared at it a moment. "If only the real you could see....How you've betrayed yourself and those around you..." A single tear fell from her eye and onto the rose before it was followed by many tears of sorrow. ... Chapter 4- Making AmendsPhoenix Force stared at Gale's door. He wondered if Gale would even want to talk with him at this point. He let out a long sigh before he slowly knocked on her door. "Gale...Can we talk?" Gale rubbed some of the tears out of her eyes once she heard him at the door. "Go away...." Phoenix Force frowned. "Just as I expected...." He used his magic to unlock her doors and walk in. "I'm not leaving." Gale pulled the covers over herself. "I don't want to see you!" Phoenix Force sighed and he climbed into the bed with her. "Again, I'm not going to leave you. I just came here to talk." Gale poked her head out from under the covers. Phoenx Force quickly noticed the puffyness around her eyes indicating she had been crying. He frowned. "Gale....I did not mean for things to go this way..." Gale rolled her eyes. "You know, that's hard to believe that coming from the stallion that changed my genders and is forcing me to marry him." Phoenix Force felt the need to snap at her but he kept it tamed for now. "Gale...I just want you to be happy with your new life...You're going to be the queen of our kingdom. You will be adored by all of our subjects. They will not want to see you upset." Gale pondered on what he was saying a moment before looking him in the eye. "If you truly have my best interests at heart..then you will allow me to see my family in Tartarus." Phoenix Force stared at her wide eyes. "What?! I can not allow you to see those traitors!!" Gale glared. "They are my family Phoenix. I want to see them one last time." Her gaze softened a moment. "If you do then..I will not put up a fight during our wedding. I'll accept being your queen and being the mother of your children, but that is only if you let me see my family." Phoenix Force thought over her proposal a moment. For one thing he was getting exactly what he wanted, but on the other hand he would have to put up with seeing those other ponies once more. Part of him wanted to refuse and just let them marry anyhow but the other...wanted to say yes and see her happy. He looked her in the eyes. "I will let you see them, but I'm not going to be standing anywhere near those ponies." Gale smiled. For the first time since this whole disaster, she actually felt happy. She threw herself on top of unicorn in a big hug. "Oh thank you Phoenix!" She froze seeing how close the two were to each other. Her heart began to race. Phoenix Force also was a bit flustered after seeing her reaction. His heart pounded against his chest almost loud enough to be heard by everypony. The two ponies slowly parted away from each other. Phoenix Force stood up slowly. "Well then....I shall make the arrangements for us to go to Tartarus tomorrow...." He walked over toward the doorway but stopped to look back at her. "Slept well Gale..." He then left, closing the doors behind him. Gale fell back on the bed and stared up at the ceiling. "That was.....wow....we so close from...kissing....." She blushed darkly at the thought of that. "I don't know if it's this new body or what but....I think I may have feelings for him...." Gale quickly shook her head. "No....I can't...He took Equestria by force and stripped me away from my family....I can't possibly be in love wit that demon..." She turned on her side. "I just...hope I'm not..." Chapter 5- The Reunion Chapter 5- The Reunion Once morning had arrived, Gale trotted out of her room happily and over to Phoenix Force's room. She was finally going to see her family again. She wondered how they react to the fact that she was a mare now and to the fact she was getting married tomorrow. She shook those thoughts so she could just enjoy the fact she would see them again. Phoenix Force stepped out of his room to see if she was coming. Once he spotted Gale, he nearly fell over seeing how happy she was. The smile on her face made his heart race. "Uh..You're awake my dear..."he stammered. Gale looked at him at him confused a moment, but remembered he was talking about her. She was still getting used to him calling her 'dear'. He gestured for her to come in her room and she followed. Phoenix Force closed the doors behind her. "Ready?"he asked. Gale nodded. "Ready as ever." He nodded. He then closed his eyes and used his magic to open a portal to Tartarus. He opened his eyes to look at her. "Mares first." He smirked. Gale huffed before she walked through the portal. Phoenix Force followed after her. Gale searched around with her eyes till they landed upon one of the higher peaks in Tartarus. Inside several cages wwas her family and friends. She smiled then spread out her wings and flew toward them. Twilight was the first to spot her. "Wait....is that...no it couldn't be...." Gale landed right in front of her, tears of joy in her eyes. "Mom...." Twilight's eyes winded in shock. "Gale?....Is that you....? You're a...mare...." Gale chuckled lightly. "It's a long story..." She reached threw the bars to give her mom a hug. The others joined in one the hug as well. "Wow Gale...So this is how you look as a mare." Charity commented. Gale blushed. "Yeah....I guess so..." Princess Luna looked at her. "Has that monster hurt you?"she asked. "Besides turning me into a mare...he hasn't really hurt me..." "He's lucky that I'm in this cage or else I would smash him into a million pieces." Misfortune stated. "How did he let you down here to see us?" Twilight asked. Gale gulped. Now was the time to tell them the deal she made. "Well?" "The only reason he let me see is because.....I agreed that I will marry him tomorrow and I would not put up a fight..." "What!?"they all shouted. "You're going to marry that guy?!" Rainbow Dash blurted out. "But he took over Equestria and trapped us down here." Charity added. "Does he have you under some sort of spell?" Misfortune asked. Gale shook her head. "No! He did no such thing!" Cadence looked her over a moment. "Wait...Are you in love with him?" Gale froze. "I...." "Gale in love with that monster? No way." Zephyr spat. Some of the other nodded in agreement. Celestia walked forward. "Gale....Is it true? Are you in love with him?" She asked calmly. Twilight stared at her child. "Gale?...." "I don't know!" Gale blurted out," I'm just as confused as the rest of you! I know he's done some nasty things, but then again...I've actually seen a softer side to him...." "So you do love him." Misfortune said then yelped when Celestia pulled lightly on her tail. Twilight reached through the bars and touched the side of Gale's face. Chapter 6- The WeddingIt was the day of the wedding and all of Equestria seemed to be talking about it. Many ponies of different origins traveled toward the castle just to see the wedding for themselves. Meanwhile inside the castle, Phoenix Force was pacing back and forth in his room nervously. He was wearing obsidian armor with a crimson cape running along his back and down close to his hooves. Ember Heart walked into his room to check on him. She had been named his best mare and she would also hand them the rings once they said their vows. She was wearing short teal dress that hugged against her body. "Phoenix? Are you nervous?"she asked. Phoenix Force flinched. "Me nervous? Never!..I'm the king of Equestria, I never get nervous." Ember Heart smiled and rolled her eyes. "Keep telling yourself that brother." Phoenix Force huffed. "So, is um...Gale ready?" "She's still getting ready. She should be done once you're at the alter."she replied. He sighed with relief. "Good.." Ember Heart moved to be beside him. "Phoenix, can I ask you something?" "Well I have some time to spare so ask away." "Do you love Gale? Be honest with your answer." Phoenix Force froze. "Um....Why do you ask?.." "When you were arguing with yourself over why Gale wasn't happy with you, I saw in your eyes that you really care about her. I know you won't admit it to the world but at least be honest with her." Phoenix Force sighed. "Alright you caught me....Yes I do love her...I did not expect to fall for her but after I realized how important her happiness was to me...I knew I could not let her down." Ember Heart smiled softly and wrapped one wing around him. "Well if that's the case, go out there and make her happy." He then preceded to pushed him out the door. Once the wedding was close to starting, Gale was beginning to get cold hooves. A little pink unicorn filly noticed her discomfort and lightly touched her side. "You okay miss?" Gale looked at the little Filly and smiled softly. "I'm fine sweetie." The filly wagged her tail. "Aren't you happy you're getting married?" "Trust me, there are too many feelings inside of me coming to conflict." Gale answered. The filly gave her a small hug. "None of us other ponies thought the king would change....but he's been different since you came." Gale looked down at her. "Different?" "He seems...not as mean as before."' Gale thought for a moment. "Was my presence enough to cause a change in him?..." she thought. Once the trumpets played to signify the wedding was about to begin, Gale lifted her head up high. "Well..time to get married." Once the flower girls went through, Gale began to walk down the isle. She kept her eyes on Phoenix Force so she wouldn't have to look at the other ponies. Phoenix Force stared at her in awe. The obsidian and violet wedding dress trailed behind Gale's slender frame. Several white and violet roses were laced along the ends of the dress. Her long dark navy hair was wrapped up in a curly bun with purple rose arranged in it. He gulped, now more nervous than ever. Gale stopped once she was next to him. She sensed that he was nervous and that made her smile. Once it got around for them to say their vows Phoenix Force said 'I do' with no problem. Gale on the otherhoof, hesitated but eventually said 'I do'. When it was time for them to kiss, they were both hesitant. Phoenix Force was the first one to lean forward to encourage her to kiss him. Gale gulped and she leaned forward as well and kissed him. The ponies in the crowd cheered for them. Once they pulled away, they were both flustered. Gale's wings puffed up and covered her face to hide her embarrassment. Phoenix Force smiled. Ember Heart held out the rings for each of them. They each levitated a ring and placed it on the other's horn. The pegasi stepped away and let them walk off to be alone together. Once they knew no one would bug them, Phoenix Force turned to face her. "Gale...?" "Yes Phoenix?" "There's something I have to tell you..." Gale blushed. "Yes?...." "Well you see...after giving it some thought and some pestering from Ember....I came to realize that....I'm in love with you."he confessed. Gale blushed darkly. "You mean it?...." He nodded. "Yes, with all of my corrupted heart." Gale was silent a moment. To Phoenix Force, he thought that she did not feel the same. "If you don't feel the same....That's fine with me..." "I love you as well...I couldn't believe it at first but...after seeing what you did to try and make me happy...I realized that you're not the monster I first thought you were..." Both mares walked off together towards Gale's new room. Once Ember Heart pushed open the doors, it revealed a very lavish room. The bed was decorated with purple and black covers made entirely of silk. The wall were painted illustrating a variety of the different shades of darkness. A set of doors opened out to a balcony that looked over what remained of Canterlot. Gale had a hard time finding something to say about the room. She had to admit, Phoenix was a jerk but he did have good taste. "I'll leave you to think Gale." Ember Heart gave her one last hug before she left the room, closing the doors behind her. Once alone, Gale walked over to the balcony and propped her hooves on the edge. There was a light wind that blew back her mane. She raised one hoof to touch the collar around her neck. "Guess this is my place now...." Author's Note That is the end of the first chapter. The next will pick up with Phoenix Force taking Gale on their date while the servants are setting up the wedding.
Chapter 2- The DatePhoenix Force made his way over to Gale's room. He was dressed in his finest silver armor and he was levitating a violet rose for Gale. Once he was in front of her door, he knocked hard with his hoof. "Time for our date my bride."he called. Gale opened the door. She was wearing a lavender silk dress with black lace along the edges. It was embroidered with darker purple roses that grew darker as the dress reached the end of her tail. Her mane was tied back in a long braid, silver bands wrapped tightly to keep her mane in check. On her hooves were glass slippers that gently hugged against her. Phoenix Force couldn't help but blush upon seeing her beauty. He quickly shook that off , not wanting to grow soft on her. He then placed the violet rose in her mane. "There, now you look perfect my darling, and the collar I gave you matches your eyes perfectly." He smirked. Gale rolled her eyes. "Let's just get this over with." Phoenix Force took her hoof in his and lead her outside to the gardens. Many of the flowers glowed from the rays of moonlight hitting them. Gale looked in awe at how breathtaking the gardens were. Phoenix Force smiled seeing her reaction and he lead her over to a table that was already furnished with food for them. He let her sit down first before he sat across from her. "So my dear, are you happy with your new arrangements?"he asked. Gale into his red eyes. "Well...The bedroom is lovely...but it's still uncomfortable being a mare now..." she answered. He placed his hoof over hers. "You will adapt in time. Of course once we have little foals they'll need a strong mother to raise them." Gale made a face still not liking the idea of having kids with him. "You're still hung up on us having foals?" He chuckled lightly. "Why of course my beloved. Once we are married, you will be expected to carry my children." "Isn't there..some way we could..postpone the marriage?"she asked. Phoenix Force's eyes narrowed and he pulled her forward using his magic to yank her by her collar. "Our wedding will not be postponed! We are getting married this weekend whether you like it or not!"he snapped at her. He released her once he was done. Gale whimpered and rubbed her neck, now bruised from being yanked so hard. Phoenix Force noticed the marks on her neck. He felt of pang of sorrow in his heart for hurting her, but he brushed that aside. He gently cupped her face in his hooves. "Now now my dear, you see what you made me do? If you had not tried to move our wedding date, I would not have hurt you."he whispered soothingly to her. Gale turned away from him ,not wanting to look him in the eyes. Phoenix Force huffed lightly and he pulled his hooves back. "Well if you're just going to act like an immature filly then you shall be treated as such. Our date will be cut short. Head back to your chambers. You will not be allowed to leave till our wedding day. I will have guards posted to keep you inside." He got up and pointed toward the door. "Now go."he commanded. Gale slowly rose to her hooves and walked away from him. Some guards took her back to her room and the door were locked tight behind her. Gale threw off the clothes and crawled into bed. Tears threatened to fall from her eyes. Her heart ached in sadness, not because of Phoenix Force but because of her being treated and nothing more than a slave. She levitated the rose out of her mane and stared at it a moment. "If only the real you could see....How you've betrayed yourself and those around you..." A single tear fell from her eye and onto the rose before it was followed by many tears of sorrow. ...
Chapter 4- Making AmendsPhoenix Force stared at Gale's door. He wondered if Gale would even want to talk with him at this point. He let out a long sigh before he slowly knocked on her door. "Gale...Can we talk?" Gale rubbed some of the tears out of her eyes once she heard him at the door. "Go away...." Phoenix Force frowned. "Just as I expected...." He used his magic to unlock her doors and walk in. "I'm not leaving." Gale pulled the covers over herself. "I don't want to see you!" Phoenix Force sighed and he climbed into the bed with her. "Again, I'm not going to leave you. I just came here to talk." Gale poked her head out from under the covers. Phoenx Force quickly noticed the puffyness around her eyes indicating she had been crying. He frowned. "Gale....I did not mean for things to go this way..." Gale rolled her eyes. "You know, that's hard to believe that coming from the stallion that changed my genders and is forcing me to marry him." Phoenix Force felt the need to snap at her but he kept it tamed for now. "Gale...I just want you to be happy with your new life...You're going to be the queen of our kingdom. You will be adored by all of our subjects. They will not want to see you upset." Gale pondered on what he was saying a moment before looking him in the eye. "If you truly have my best interests at heart..then you will allow me to see my family in Tartarus." Phoenix Force stared at her wide eyes. "What?! I can not allow you to see those traitors!!" Gale glared. "They are my family Phoenix. I want to see them one last time." Her gaze softened a moment. "If you do then..I will not put up a fight during our wedding. I'll accept being your queen and being the mother of your children, but that is only if you let me see my family." Phoenix Force thought over her proposal a moment. For one thing he was getting exactly what he wanted, but on the other hand he would have to put up with seeing those other ponies once more. Part of him wanted to refuse and just let them marry anyhow but the other...wanted to say yes and see her happy. He looked her in the eyes. "I will let you see them, but I'm not going to be standing anywhere near those ponies." Gale smiled. For the first time since this whole disaster, she actually felt happy. She threw herself on top of unicorn in a big hug. "Oh thank you Phoenix!" She froze seeing how close the two were to each other. Her heart began to race. Phoenix Force also was a bit flustered after seeing her reaction. His heart pounded against his chest almost loud enough to be heard by everypony. The two ponies slowly parted away from each other. Phoenix Force stood up slowly. "Well then....I shall make the arrangements for us to go to Tartarus tomorrow...." He walked over toward the doorway but stopped to look back at her. "Slept well Gale..." He then left, closing the doors behind him. Gale fell back on the bed and stared up at the ceiling. "That was.....wow....we so close from...kissing....." She blushed darkly at the thought of that. "I don't know if it's this new body or what but....I think I may have feelings for him...." Gale quickly shook her head. "No....I can't...He took Equestria by force and stripped me away from my family....I can't possibly be in love wit that demon..." She turned on her side. "I just...hope I'm not..."
Chapter 5- The Reunion Chapter 5- The Reunion Once morning had arrived, Gale trotted out of her room happily and over to Phoenix Force's room. She was finally going to see her family again. She wondered how they react to the fact that she was a mare now and to the fact she was getting married tomorrow. She shook those thoughts so she could just enjoy the fact she would see them again. Phoenix Force stepped out of his room to see if she was coming. Once he spotted Gale, he nearly fell over seeing how happy she was. The smile on her face made his heart race. "Uh..You're awake my dear..."he stammered. Gale looked at him at him confused a moment, but remembered he was talking about her. She was still getting used to him calling her 'dear'. He gestured for her to come in her room and she followed. Phoenix Force closed the doors behind her. "Ready?"he asked. Gale nodded. "Ready as ever." He nodded. He then closed his eyes and used his magic to open a portal to Tartarus. He opened his eyes to look at her. "Mares first." He smirked. Gale huffed before she walked through the portal. Phoenix Force followed after her. Gale searched around with her eyes till they landed upon one of the higher peaks in Tartarus. Inside several cages wwas her family and friends. She smiled then spread out her wings and flew toward them. Twilight was the first to spot her. "Wait....is that...no it couldn't be...." Gale landed right in front of her, tears of joy in her eyes. "Mom...." Twilight's eyes winded in shock. "Gale?....Is that you....? You're a...mare...." Gale chuckled lightly. "It's a long story..." She reached threw the bars to give her mom a hug. The others joined in one the hug as well. "Wow Gale...So this is how you look as a mare." Charity commented. Gale blushed. "Yeah....I guess so..." Princess Luna looked at her. "Has that monster hurt you?"she asked. "Besides turning me into a mare...he hasn't really hurt me..." "He's lucky that I'm in this cage or else I would smash him into a million pieces." Misfortune stated. "How did he let you down here to see us?" Twilight asked. Gale gulped. Now was the time to tell them the deal she made. "Well?" "The only reason he let me see is because.....I agreed that I will marry him tomorrow and I would not put up a fight..." "What!?"they all shouted. "You're going to marry that guy?!" Rainbow Dash blurted out. "But he took over Equestria and trapped us down here." Charity added. "Does he have you under some sort of spell?" Misfortune asked. Gale shook her head. "No! He did no such thing!" Cadence looked her over a moment. "Wait...Are you in love with him?" Gale froze. "I...." "Gale in love with that monster? No way." Zephyr spat. Some of the other nodded in agreement. Celestia walked forward. "Gale....Is it true? Are you in love with him?" She asked calmly. Twilight stared at her child. "Gale?...." "I don't know!" Gale blurted out," I'm just as confused as the rest of you! I know he's done some nasty things, but then again...I've actually seen a softer side to him...." "So you do love him." Misfortune said then yelped when Celestia pulled lightly on her tail. Twilight reached through the bars and touched the side of Gale's face. "Gale...we're not exactly made at you...we're just more confused." Gale looked at her mother. "Mom...What should I do....?" Twilight smiled softly. "Do what your heart tells you." Gale smiled softly. Her ears perked hearing Phoenix Force call for her. "Are you done yet Gale?! I'm getting goosebumps being in this place!"he called. Gale rolled his eyes. "Real charmer you've got there." Rainbow Dash stated. Gale stood up. "Well...I guess this is goodbye..." Twilight smiled softly. "Don't worry Gale..We'll be alright.." She smiled. "I'll get you all out of here....I promise." With that Gale flew back over to Phoenix Force. They both went back through the portal. "So my beloved, how did it go?"he asked. "It was good." she replied. He smirked. "Are you ready for our wedding tomorrow?" "Well I promised I would not fight you and I always hold true to my word." "Excellent! I'm going to go check and make sure everything is arranged properly. I'll send some servants tomorrow morning to have you fitted into your dress." He walked off leaving Gale alone. Gale looked outside and noticed it was dark already. "Huh...Guess I was there a long time.." She smiled to herself. "Well..time to prepare myself for tomorrow.." She walked back to her room.
Chapter 6- The WeddingIt was the day of the wedding and all of Equestria seemed to be talking about it. Many ponies of different origins traveled toward the castle just to see the wedding for themselves. Meanwhile inside the castle, Phoenix Force was pacing back and forth in his room nervously. He was wearing obsidian armor with a crimson cape running along his back and down close to his hooves. Ember Heart walked into his room to check on him. She had been named his best mare and she would also hand them the rings once they said their vows. She was wearing short teal dress that hugged against her body. "Phoenix? Are you nervous?"she asked. Phoenix Force flinched. "Me nervous? Never!..I'm the king of Equestria, I never get nervous." Ember Heart smiled and rolled her eyes. "Keep telling yourself that brother." Phoenix Force huffed. "So, is um...Gale ready?" "She's still getting ready. She should be done once you're at the alter."she replied. He sighed with relief. "Good.." Ember Heart moved to be beside him. "Phoenix, can I ask you something?" "Well I have some time to spare so ask away." "Do you love Gale? Be honest with your answer." Phoenix Force froze. "Um....Why do you ask?.." "When you were arguing with yourself over why Gale wasn't happy with you, I saw in your eyes that you really care about her. I know you won't admit it to the world but at least be honest with her." Phoenix Force sighed. "Alright you caught me....Yes I do love her...I did not expect to fall for her but after I realized how important her happiness was to me...I knew I could not let her down." Ember Heart smiled softly and wrapped one wing around him. "Well if that's the case, go out there and make her happy." He then preceded to pushed him out the door. Once the wedding was close to starting, Gale was beginning to get cold hooves. A little pink unicorn filly noticed her discomfort and lightly touched her side. "You okay miss?" Gale looked at the little Filly and smiled softly. "I'm fine sweetie." The filly wagged her tail. "Aren't you happy you're getting married?" "Trust me, there are too many feelings inside of me coming to conflict." Gale answered. The filly gave her a small hug. "None of us other ponies thought the king would change....but he's been different since you came." Gale looked down at her. "Different?" "He seems...not as mean as before."' Gale thought for a moment. "Was my presence enough to cause a change in him?..." she thought. Once the trumpets played to signify the wedding was about to begin, Gale lifted her head up high. "Well..time to get married." Once the flower girls went through, Gale began to walk down the isle. She kept her eyes on Phoenix Force so she wouldn't have to look at the other ponies. Phoenix Force stared at her in awe. The obsidian and violet wedding dress trailed behind Gale's slender frame. Several white and violet roses were laced along the ends of the dress. Her long dark navy hair was wrapped up in a curly bun with purple rose arranged in it. He gulped, now more nervous than ever. Gale stopped once she was next to him. She sensed that he was nervous and that made her smile. Once it got around for them to say their vows Phoenix Force said 'I do' with no problem. Gale on the otherhoof, hesitated but eventually said 'I do'. When it was time for them to kiss, they were both hesitant. Phoenix Force was the first one to lean forward to encourage her to kiss him. Gale gulped and she leaned forward as well and kissed him. The ponies in the crowd cheered for them. Once they pulled away, they were both flustered. Gale's wings puffed up and covered her face to hide her embarrassment. Phoenix Force smiled. Ember Heart held out the rings for each of them. They each levitated a ring and placed it on the other's horn. The pegasi stepped away and let them walk off to be alone together. Once they knew no one would bug them, Phoenix Force turned to face her. "Gale...?" "Yes Phoenix?" "There's something I have to tell you..." Gale blushed. "Yes?...." "Well you see...after giving it some thought and some pestering from Ember....I came to realize that....I'm in love with you."he confessed. Gale blushed darkly. "You mean it?...." He nodded. "Yes, with all of my corrupted heart." Gale was silent a moment. To Phoenix Force, he thought that she did not feel the same. "If you don't feel the same....That's fine with me..." "No no!...That's not true..!" Phoenix Force looked at her. "Then....What is true?.." Gale looked him in the eyes. "I love you as well...I couldn't believe it at first but...after seeing what you did to try and make me happy...I realized that you're not the monster I first thought you were..." "You thought I was a monster?" "Well you didn't exactly make it easy to think otherwise."she pointed out. He chuckled. "Good point." Gale giggled. Phoenix Force smiled and held her hoof in his. "You know I...had this scripted out in my head from the beginning...marrying you and having you as my queen, but I did not expect to actually fall for you." Gale smiled softly and leaned against him. "Nothing turns out exactly as you expect." He nuzzled her cheek softly. "Very true my love." THE END For now.... Author's Note Well this is the end for now with these two. Chapter 3- RegretsOnce Gale was out of site, Phoenix Force blasted the table away from him. Some of the nearby guards froze at their king's sudden outburst. Phoenix Force stomped over to the gazebo which was surrounded by clean water. "Why is my bride still unhappy with me?!"he asked aloud," I've given her the best room in the whole castle with the finest silk in all of Equestria and I had the servants make her a gorgeous gown! Yet she still has the gall to try and postpone our wedding!" He blasted a flower pot to pieces out of anger. "I just don't get it! What more does she want?!" Ember Heart had overheard what happened and walked up slowly from behind him. "Brother?....." He turned to face her. "What?!"he snapped. Ember Heart yelped. "Well....maybe you actually treated Gale with some respect...maybe...she'll warm up to you..." "Respect?!" He huffed," I did not take over Equestria by using respect! I used force to get what I want!" Ember Heart flinched from his tone. "That's the problem....You can't force someone to love you..." "Course I can! We're getting married soon." "Even when you two are married...Gale still won't love you...Even when you want to have foals with her, that still won't make her love you..." Ember Heart stepped closer. "If you just treated her as your equal..then maybe...just maybe..you'll have a chance with her.." Phoenix Force paused a moment to think. He then remembered how hurt Gale looked hurt she looked when he harmed her. Then he remembered that...that he never made her laugh or smile.. The stallion frowned and he looked at his reflection in the water. He placed a hoof over his heart and felt it ache. He longed to see Gale happy...to see that he made her happy... He turned back to look at his sister. "I just want her to be happy by my side as queen...." Emeber Heart smiled hearing that. "Then go talk to her..and actually do something that she wants...before the wedding of course." Phoenix Force nodded. "You're right Ember." He walked off, heading toward Gale's room. Ember Heart watched him go. "I hope that..Gale can bring back the real you brother.."
