Human generosity

“What truth?” Twilight asked.

I sight before answering “I know more about you girls then you think.”

I had to tell them the truth. I am not the type of guy that fakes his naivety just to fit in.

“Ha! Prove it!” exclaimed Twi.

I was quite surprised of her. That’s more the type of Rainbow dash to challenge others like that. I sighed one last time before bombarding her with truth.

“Your full name is Twilight sparkle and you are as well the student of princess Celestia. You are considered as one of the elements of harmony; magic. Fluttershy is also one of those elements; kindness. There are four other elements and they are all you friends back at ponyville. Is that right Twilight?”

She was mesmerized of all the truth that I said. Her mouth was opened of surprise. I knew that she wanted to say something but she didn’t know what to say. I turned toward Fluttershy; she was looking at her fore hooves shyly. I decided to close my laptop and I pushed it aside. I got up and walked toward my terrarium. I opened it and grabbed the lizard inside. I turned around to see Twi who was still looking at me in disbelief.

I walked back to Fluttershy and laid my free hand on one of her fore hooves. She looked up at me. At my surprise; she had teary eyes. Somehow I knew why; she misses her friends and pets back at ponyville and the fact that I slightly spoke of them reminded her of them.

I smiled at her. “I would like you to meet Johanna the lizard.” I said as I lifted up my hand holding the small creature.

Her sad face quickly turned into a joyful smile. She lifted both of her hooves to be able to hold the reptile. I slowly brought my occupied hand to her hooves. My hand was right on top of one of her hooves while Johanna slowly walked off my hand and into her other hoof. I looked once again in her eyes; her tears were gone instead they were glistering. She was even blushing.

“Thank you” she said as the small lizard was now climbing her neck to find her way to her head.

“My pleasure” I said with a large friendly smile.

“How do you know so much about us?” The unicorn finally said.

I looked at her and smiled. “That is exactly what I was about to explain to you girls.”

I sat down and grabbed once again my laptop and putting it on my lap. I opened it and pressed the power button. The first thing that happened is one of my friends calling me on Skype. I ignored his call and set my profile to ‘do not disturb’. I opened up Google chrome and clicked on my YouTube shortcut. I went in my favorites and clicked on the very first episode of MLP FIM.

I explained them the whole thing with MLP and the TV show as I showed them the episode.

When the show was finished I closed my laptop, I got up and put it back to its initial place on my desk. I looked back at the two ponies.

I took a deep breath before speaking. “So what do you girls think?” I asked trying to break the silence.

“That is so interesting.” said Twilight with a smile.

“Interesting?” I repeated.

“Yes! Back in our world we have books about humans but we have always thought that they were legends. Here you have a show about us and you thought that we were ... hum...”

“A fragmentation of another human imagination” I finished her sentence.

“Exactly! Maybe there’s some kind of connection between both of our worlds. What do you think?”

“I think we should sleep on it. Would that be a good idea, Fluttershy?” I asked.

She answered me with a little nod. I walked to her and grabbed the small lizard on her head. I brought the lizard back to her terrarium before walked to the door. I stopped in front of the door.

“Have a very sweet night, girls.” I said with a very calm voice as I slowly opened the door.

“You...you’re not going to sleep with us?” I heard Fluttershy’s voice behind me.

A massive chill went through my spin from the three last words that she said ‘Sleep with us’.

“Are...Are you sure about this, Fluttershy?” asked Twilight.

“Well...um...I mean...”

“I believe I understand what you mean. You feel safe when I am around and want me to be near for whenever you need help. Is that right Fluttershy?” I said trying to clear out the confusion.

She answered us with a simple shy nod.

“I will go get all the things that I need to sleep here on the floor. It’s still a bit awkward for me to believe that you girls are real and I don’t want to make you girls feel uncomfortable.” I said with a large smile.

I went out of the room and went down stair to go get two large sleeping bags. I saw on the kitchen counter a small note and a large amount of cash.

“Dear Kevin,

Your mother and I are going on a surprise second honey moon. We will be gone for a week. We leave you with $700, use it well and have fun with your pony plushies.”

After reading the note, only a large smile appeared on my lips. I was alone with two ponies and $700 to give them whatever they want. I threw the note at the garbage and left the money on the counter. I will take care of that tomorrow.

I went back to my room with all the equipment needed to do a bed on the ground. The ponies looked at me preparing the bed on the ground with interest.

Once again Twi asked me a familiar question. “Why are you doing that?”

“I believe you already know the answer.” I said with a friendly smile.

She smiled and did a light charming laugh. “It’s just you are doing so much for us and we have so little to give you back.” She said as he face slowly turned into a frown.

I looked at her as she was looking at her own hooves. I grabbed her chin and lifted her head so I could look at her large purple eyes.

“You girls have already done more than you think.” I said while staring her in the eyes.

“Like what?” fluttershy asked.

I turned my head to look at the Pegasus’ glistening eyes. “I will tell you girls all that after a good night sleep and a good breakfast.”

They both accepted the condition as we all crawled under the beds sheets comfortably.

I had trouble sleeping with was has happened tonight. I was sleeping in the same room as my two favorite ponies. I was about to fall asleep, thinking of the things that we will do tomorrow until I heard Twilight’s voice.

“do you think that he is asleep?’ asked Twilight.

I didn’t move to tell her otherwise, I just continued breathing deeply as if I was sleeping.

“I...I think so” Said the winged pony.

“Please tell me, do you trust him?”

“Yes I do.”

“Why? What did he do to gain your trust?”

“He...I... (Sigh) You know that I am the element of kindness, right?”

“Yes! But what does this have to do with him?”

“Well... I can feel that he has a pure heart. Like me, he enjoys being kind to others. I...he... (Sigh) I just know that if I fall he will be there to catch me.”

I felt myself blush at her last words and I suddenly felt uncomfortable. I turned around without opening my eyes. I also hid my face to cover it; I didn’t want them to see me with a blushed face.

As I moved around to find a more comfortable position they decided to stop talking and to go back to sleep. Shortly after all that I finally managed to fall asleep. I need the rest because it’s going to be a big day tomorrow.

I am so sorry for the really late update, it’s that I was so sick lately. 3 days in bed is terrible and psychologically painful. Don’t forget to thank my Proof-reader (Benjeman) for helping me. Hope you guys like it.
