“I’m here!” Twilight shouted, skidding into the classroom at top speed, out of breath and silently praying that she wasn’t too late.

Her teacher, an older gray mare named Long Division, looked over to Twilight from her desk, peering down her spectacles. “Twilight Sparkle, I never thought you’d be the one to show up late,” she tssked.

“I am so sorry,” Twilight said, blushing. “I was-”

“It’s fine, dear,” the teacher said. “Just don’t make a habit of this. I’d hate to see one of our best students turn into a slacker.”

“I promise,” Twilight said, nodding quickly and turning to trot to her seat.

To her continued annoyance, her desk was not in the front row of class, but rather the second. It had been randomly assigned, and as much as she had begged to switch places with somepony in the front row, her teacher had been firm, saying that if Twilight got to switch, everyone would want to, and it would become a huge hassle.

Sitting down, Twilight heard some giggles and looked over her shoulder to see Trust Fund a few rows behind her, whispering to some other fillies Twilight didn’t recognize. She wasn’t sure, but they all seemed to be looking her way, at least until their teacher ‘A-hem’ed and got them to stop snickering.

Normally, this would have been the highlight of Twilight’s day, but as the minutes ticked by and her teacher started lecturing, she found that she simply couldn’t focus. The desk chairs were never all that comfortable to begin with, but with a couple inches of slick padding between her rump and the seat, she found it impossible to sit still, fidgeting and shifting like she’d had too much sugar for breakfast in an attempt to keep the diaper from shifting beneath her, making quiet little crinkly noises that she hoped would go unnoticed.

She found herself staring at the clock, watching seconds tick by. She was in the classroom until lunch break, then off to the gym for PE, then back for the rest of the day. After that, she’d usually get lost in the library until they closed for the day, and then home, but Twilight planned on skipping the library visit on account of the extenuating circumstances.

On a normal day, Twilight would wait until Lunch to use the bathroom, then go again after PE, then be good until she got home. On a normal day, though, she would have gone in the morning before she left home, instead of spending ten minutes struggling to put on a diaper and then sprinting out the door.

Twilight expected that she would be able to hold of for a considerable amount of time, though exactly how long she couldn’t guess. She had drank two glasses of water the night before, and then there was the milk in the cereal and the glass of orange juice she had for breakfast. That was about 1000ml, give or take. Assuming an average digestion rate of-

“Twilight?” Long Division asked, her tone harsh. “Are you paying attention?”

“Yes, ma’am!” Twilight said, quickly.

“Good,” her teacher said. “Then you wouldn’t mind coming up to solve this problem.”

“Yes… ma’am…” Twilight said, less enthusiastically. She looked to the board, reading the equation listed. It was a simple enough magical formula, it appeared to be for heavy lifting, though without context Twilight couldn’t be sure what she was supposed to be calculating, which would make things tricky.

She heard snickers as she made it to the front of the classroom and, realizing that her skirt had started to ride up as she squirmed at her desk chair, quickly pulled it down with a tug of magic. The teacher hadn’t seen, yet, and hopefully the other students hadn’t been looking.

Grabbing the chalk, Twilight stared at the equation, trying to guess what it was. If it was just lifting a heavy object, it would be easy, but if she assumed that and guessed wrong, then she would totally blow the math.

“I…” She stammered, looking around for some kind of clue, but all that was written on the chalkboard was the equation, no clue as to what it was for. She heard more snickers and blushed.

“Maybe you should go sit down,” her teacher said. “And pay a little more attention next time.”

Defeated, Twilight turned to waddle back to her desk, embarassed at least as much about failing to solve the problem as she was about her diaper. Slumping back into her seat, she had about five seconds of respite as her teacher went back into a lecture on - Darn it, it was just lifting a heavy object - when something hit her on the back of the head.

Looking up, Twilight Sparkle made sure that Ms. Division wasn’t watching, then turned around to see Trust Fund snickering. Looking down, then, she saw a crumpled up ball of paper and quietly grabbed it, eying their teacher to make sure they weren’t being watched, then unfolding the paper to see what it was.

As it turned out, Trust Fund was surprisingly good at sketches. The drawing was one of Twilight herself, though instead of wearing her school uniform she was wearing nothing but a bib, bonnet, and of course, the diaper. She was drawn so that she was sitting on the ground and crying, with obvious green stink lines - the only color highlights - drawn in crayon all around her.

Twilight blushed, crumpling up the drawing and shoving it in her desk before anypony else noticed, and then looking over her shoulder to glare at Trust Fund.

“Twilight Sparkle! What did I just say?” Her teacher called, making Twilight whip around to face her teacher, her expression one of mortification.

“I… Uh…” Twilight mumbled. “I don’t know, ma’am,” she admitted.

“If I catch you goofing off again, you’ll be sent to the principal’s office,” she said, her tone harsh enough to make Twilight shrink back in her seat.

“Sorry!” She squeaked, sitting rapt at attention.

“That’s better. Now, if you’ll all remember from last week…”

Twilight managed to ignore most of the giggling after that and, to her relief, no more embarrassing drawings came her way. Trust Fund probably was just playing it safe, not wanting to be seen passing notes, but it was a relief either way.

What Twilight couldn’t stop, though, was the constant building pressure growing in her bladder, a reminder that she hadn’t had a chance to pee since the night before. As minutes slipped by, her fidgeting and squirming returned, this time trying to find a way to sit that would relieve a bit of the pressure. She made sure to keep listening to her teacher drone on, far less interesting than she usually was, but even before the clock ticked into 11, she knew she wasn’t going to make it to the lunch break, much less the whole school day.

“Ms. Division!” Twilight said, feeling a wave of defeat wash over her. “I… May I have a hall pass?” She could get Smarty Pants back another way, she wasn’t going to pee herself, not when she was sure every other student in the classroom was watching her.

“Twilight Sparkle, you have been nothing but a disruption today,” their teacher said, her tone disapproving. “If you wanted to go to the bathroom, you should have gone before class started. You can hold it another hour.”

Twilight gulped. “Please? I promise-”

“No,” Long Division said, firmly. “You will wait until the end of the class.”

Trying to think of another protest, Twilight quickly realized there was nothing she could say. Ms. Division wasn’t known for her lenience towards students, and if she’d said no once, she wasn’t about to change her mind. Besides-

Another ball of paper hit her head, and Twilight cautiously checked to make sure the teacher’s back was turned before she grabbed it and unfolded the sketch.

It was a drawing of Smarty Pants this time, except that his head had been ripped off and all the stuffing torn out, drawn on the paper with big swirly loops of pencil. At the bottom, in block letters, Trust Fund had written ‘Giving up, crybaby?’

Twilight crumpled up the drawing and tossed it in her desk next to the first one, not daring to look back and glare in case the teacher saw. The drawing at least distracted her from the growing need to get to a bathroom, or…

Nope. Nope. Not gonna have an accident, Twilight thought, but deep down she wondered if she could make it.

Another note tapped her on the back of the head, and she stealthily retrieved it, unfolding it. It was just a note this time, no sketch.

‘If you don’t pee your pants before lunch, crybaby, I’ll set your stupid doll on fire.’

Blanching, Twilight nearly turned to throw the paper back at Trust Fund, but she noticed that their teacher was turning back to the class and so just stuffed it into her desk and tried to look interested.

She knew in her head that she probably couldn’t make it until the end of the class anyways, but… Now, if she had an accident, it would look intentional. Even if she tried to explain that it was really an accident, as far as Trust Fund and the others were concerned, she would have wet a diaper on purpose, in the middle of class, to get Smarty Pants back.

Nope, Twilight thought. Definitely not going to happen. I’ll just have to hold it.

For another hour...
