For Madness, Comes a Price

It had been a few hours since she had fallen asleep. Solitaire had woken up in her home with Minty right beside her, asleep in a chair he had managed to put next to her bed. She smiled softly and sat herself up carefully, not wanting to wake up the sleeping stallion and stroked his mane carefully looking at him with a loving gaze.

" So the sleeping beauty has decided to wake up finally." She heard a voice say with a wicked laugh "There has been quite an event while you had slept."

"What do you want from me now demon, you have already caused me enough pain as it is." she snarled knowing fully well who was speaking to her.

"Oh, I thought you already know what I want child. it had replied with such an eager tone as if it was pleased with her anger."

"Well you know fully well you will never get what you want. Your stuck with me." She casted her mind away from her raging thoughts that boiled deep inside her, trying to stand her ground.

The voice hesitated inside as if it was thinking carefully "Well don't you know what has happened since you were asleep, princess in exile?"

"I do not want to hear your tales, dark one, keep your mouth shut I do not want to hear your vile words or dark tales anymore"

"You will keep you smart remarks to yourself brat! You know what I can do to you and your loved ones if I choose to take over you again" The voice snarled. "For now I will stay quiet but you will learn soon enough of the events"

Solitaire clawed the bed with her hooves scowling angrily, trying to calm herself from the demons talk with her, lost in her own thoughts about it before feeling a gentle touch on her nose and snapping back into reality, seeing Minty, touching his nose with hers and holding her forehooves.
"Everything okay my sweet violet mare?" he replied in a sweet tone that always made her smile. "You had me worried these past days when you didn't wake up"
Solitaire looked at him slightly confused and then smiled, remembering that she had been in Wonderland for a few hours and had fallen asleep nearly forgetting about the time differences in their worlds. She lay back and giggled softly "I am as crazy as a mad hatter to his tea, my Mintyness"
Minty growled playfully and lay on top of her, resting his muzzle in her mane "Your my crazy mare~ Glad to see your back to your normal self again"
She returned his playful growl with a soft lick on his ear, before cuddling him lovingly "Mmm, I know I am...." She sighed happily, knowing she was safe in his arms.
It must have felt like minutes when Discord had walked into them cuddling on the bed, making Minty and Solitaire jump. Minty scrabbling back onto the chair and Solitaire sitting up on the bed, both of their cheeks slightly red with embarrassment each trying to hide their faces from the chaotic creature.

"Oooh.. so that's whats so special about him then?" Discord gave her a cheeky grin as she shifted in her place.
"I don't know what you mean, Discord" she replied quickly, looking away at a painting on the wall hearing the chaotic creature chuckle. Her hooves gently dug into the mattress of the bed again.
"Oh Solice, you know you couldn't keep things like this away from me, not even when you were." he stopped himself nearly forgetting that Minty did not know where or how she was got to Equestria from Wonderland. "Anyway while you were asleep someone decided to take advantage of your sleeping state" he swallowed hard, feeling uneasy.
Minty's gaze fixed at Discord for a second wondering what had made him so uneasy to talk about Solitaire's past with him soon finding himself tinkering with his metallic wing's checking them over if he had found any screws loose. Solitaire's interest with them had only grew curiouser than usual as she tapped one of the metal feathers with her hoof, her head was laying on the bed as she carefully looked at the detail and the hard work he had put into them. She longed to help Minty with his work but he was either too busy tinkering with his little robotics or out somewhere where she didn't know, which often made her worry.

Her mind soon snapped back into reality and turned to face the draconequus before placing her head in her hooves in a more comfortable yet hiding position, dreading on hearing what the demon's actions had caused what trouble . She swallowed hard trying to not sound as disturbed as she felt inside causing a lump to form inside her throat "She decided to make a move again... what did she do this time?" she replied, tiredly but in an uneasy voice.
"Well apart from running rampant at my dear friend Fluttershy she ripped and tore up your clothes. Minty had managed to salvage the silken green scarf and fixed it together but we are going to have to get you some new clothes." Discord replied, his claws and paws fixed together as he watched the purple mare try to hide herself and her feelings away from the world, knowing fully well she had too much pain spent enough as it is but still continued to stab at her helpless self.

Solitaire flung herself back into her bed and pulled the covers over her head, retreating into the darkness with her eyes swelling up with tears that soon dripped down her silky furred cheeks beginning to cry "I'm a monster..." she whispered, clawing at the covers she held so closely to her body.
Minty was already tugging at the covers to reveal his favourite mare underneath and pulling her close to his chest. "Your no monster Solitaire, you know you have no control over Cresent, and Fluttershy understands this after all we are your friends,"
"Someones more than a friend here," Discord replied in a slightly happier tone trying to brighten up the situation, his tail flickering to and fro, contently watching how Minty was trying his best to comfort his friend in his arms.

She shifted in her place and pulled away from Minty, giving him a sorry look before getting onto all fours and walking towards the door "I'm going for a walk..." she replied softly picking her black cape with her magic and putting it over her, pulling up the hood to cover her face "And don't try to follow me, I'll be fine, I just need some time to myself. Make yourselves at home while your here."

It was the last thing she had said before slamming the door of her teapot house and sprinted for the dark and creepy Everfree forest, tears flowing down her cheeks but her fangs bared.
