Metro equestria

Day 1

Previous Chapter

I put the note down. Twilight, isn’t here. And nopony else is either. It’s just here. Inside this chamber.

I sighed and my head fell into my hooves. I thought I was the bravest pony in ponyville. The bravest out of my friends, but I was just brave because I knew.

I didn’t know this was coming. The TV monitor was displaying the outside door. It looked so decayed. The camera moved to display the tunnel where a sealed door was at the end.

I switched cameras and saw what I didn’t want to see. The whole world appeared dead. There was waste everywhere and practically no greenery. I remembered when we entered that it was pretty much under Canterlot. The waste was debris from Canterlot. I couldn’t quite see Ponyville. But I didn’t really want to. I know there was a station in Ponyville so some ponies must’ve made it.

But what about cloudsdale? That place was practically magic, but it’s made of clouds so the metro didn’t connect there. Twilight said magic barely existed. For all I know the clouds got swept away. Did anypony make it?

I couldn’t quite see the sky since there were dead trees blocking off the cameras view. Terrible positioning of the camera I would say.

I shut off the camera and walked to the pods. I walked over to the others and touched them. They were open and I felt no magic around them. I touched mine and there was magic for a moment before it dissipated.

I heard a beep and went over to the monitor which now displayed a message. Low power it said. I couldn’t stay here much longer. I barely had any food and with low power, the ventilation would run out faster. I didn’t know much about technology as Twilight did, I didn’t know the average life of a battery by looking at it.

I Went over to the refrigerator. I unplugged it before grabbing its contents and filling up my bag. I closed it and unplugged it. Electricity wasn’t common 10 years ago, but now we have lots of stuff. I don’t know how, we just went through a big technological age.

Twilight said I needed a gun and a gas mask to survive up there. But there was no gun. But I did manage to find a gas mask and a journal. I holstered my gas mask and stowed the journal. This was pretty much it.

“Nothing else to do,” I muttered to myself. “I’ll probably get eaten as soon as I leave.”

I shut off the generator. I looked back as the lights turned off. I pulled on my coat as I opened the locked door and closed it behind. I don’t think anypony else has found this place. It was pretty well hidden when I entered. I turned on my headlamp.

I walked down the corridor, the floor squeaking every once in a while. I came up to the sealed door. I grabbed it and forced the handle to the side grunting. These doors were tough, but this one probably hasn’t been used since they left. I coughed as the air outside flooded inside. It burned in my throat and was hard to breathe. Twilight was right.

I chucked on my Gas mask as fast as I could and attached the filter. The Burning sensation calmed down and stopped. I propped the door to the side and prepared my eyes for the burning light.

That never came.

The world outside was dark. Not night dark, but it seemed like it’s meant to be this way. I stepped outside and took a moment to gaze outside.

Over in the distance, was Ponyville. It was all. Battered up. Buildings fallen. Some buildings standing but still okay. Sweet Apple Acres. The building was roughly standing. It didn’t seem that worthwhile but I decided that I might check back on it later.

The metro entrance could be seen covered up. I’m not sure if anypony was down there, if there was, there probably wouldn’t be that many. Ponyville is quite small so it only has one station which isn’t really that big.

I still didn’t have a gun. The air was toxic so I bet that not many ponies would come up to scavenge. There are supposed to be beasts up here. I haven’t met any yet.

So I decided to fly there. I spread my wings and leaped into the air, flapping my wings with rhythm. I went up into the air, when I saw something in the distance.

A big Winged beasts with Six legs, coming right at me.

“Oh buck, oh buck!” I cried out as I tried to move myself. He problem was that I couldn’t budge. It felt like there was barely any magic inside me anymore. I totally forgot about Twilight’s message. How she explained that there was practically not enough magic around. My Pegasus magic practically all drained out and there was nothing to replace it.

I closed my eyes in fear as the beast swooped in and grabbed me. It’s giant wings mimicking a bird in ratio.
