Chapter 7: The Cider Effect

"So how was your sleep?" Celestia asked when you walked into your living room.

"What is this thing you call sleep?" you answer as you headed towards the kitchen, "I think when you have the two most important ponies in your house sleep is almost impossible"

"We apologize if we kept you up, we will be quieter tomorrow night" Luna said when you came back with your morning coffee.

"No, no, that's not it," you suddenly realized what she said, "Wait, what were you to doing last night that would have kept me up?"

"Nothing" Celestia responded deviously.

You gave her a confused look, but you knew better than to question the princesses. You went back to having your morning coffee, but you were interrupted again by a knock at your door. Before you could get up to go answer it Luna had made her way to the door and opened it, met by a familiar brown pony.

"Hello princess, is Silver home?"

"I'm here Whooves, something up?" you asked as you made your way to the door.

"Well, I heard about what was going on with Scootaloo, and I wanted to know if you wanted to go get a drink or something"

"I'm up for that," you turned towards Celestia, "If it's okay with you?"

"Of course, you need time like this to help you relax after such a traumatic event"

"Thank you princess, I won't stay out to late!" you said as you made your way out the door.

"Are they like your moms now?" Whooves asked jokingly.

"Oh shut up, at least I don't live with my girlfriend!" you said while shoving Whooves lightly.

After heading around Ponyville you and Whooves finally arrived at Ponyville's only bar, only now you were now accompanied by Big Mac and Shining Armor. From what they told you they took a break from work so they could spend time with you.

"So is this place actually any good?" Shining asked when everyone stopped in front, "Twilight said they don't have a very large selection"

"Of girly drinks maybe," Big Mac said as he made his way inside, "This has an amazing selection of ciders, I should know!"

"Good enough for me!"

Within moments the four of you were seated and had already downed the first of many drinks. Your thoughts quickly turned to Scootaloo though, now noticing that you were sitting with the captain of the royal guard, which means any news of her would of had to have gone through him.

"So any news yet?" you asked as your second drink was delivered.

"News about what?" Shining asked back, trying to dodge  the question.

"You know what, now tell me"

"Fine..." he answered reluctantly, "We got news of a Pegasus matching her description going towards the Everfree, but from there the news only gets worse"

"How could it get worse?"

"She was going into an area that's infamous for it's population of Manticores"

"Son of a bitch! How did she get that far out already?!" you shouted in surprise.

"From what the report said, she was riding on a scooter or something"

"How would she have managed to get her..."

"What?" the three stallions asked you in unison.

"If she has her scooter, then she must have stopped at home before she ran away..."

There were no words said after that, as it was fairly obvious that all 3 of your companions had the exact same thought, "Son of a bitch!"

"...and then I told him to go fuck himself!" you mumbled as you were dragged out of the bar by Big Mac and Shining Armor. Before you could be told to shut up you passed out, only to find yourself laying in your bed at home.

"How did I get here?" you mumbled to yourself as you made your way out of bed.

"Good evening, how was your nap?"

"What time is it?" you asked groggily.

"It's nearly midnight, you passed out on the way home from what your friends told me"

"Who are you, if you don't mind me asking"

"You must really be out of it. I am princess Luna, and me and my sister are staying at your home right now"

"Oh shit-" you said, "I mean, my apologies princess, I forgot what was going on for a minute there"

"No worries, when you came home you acted, quite odd" Luna responded, now acting quite weird.

"What did I do?" you asked.

"Well, you came home, and I had been sitting here reading one of your books, and, uh..."

"Oh Celestia..."

"You tried to hit on me"

"Aw fuck!" you shouted at yourself, "What's my punishment?"

"You have no punishment" she responded calmly.

"What?" you asked dumbfounded, "But I acted indecent towards you, doesn't that earn me some kind of punishment?"

"Normally, but you did it pretty well, so you're forgiven" Luna responded with a giggle.

You were unable to respond due to your brain being temporarily unavailable. Did she just say I did a good job of hitting on her? you thought to yourself, What the hell does that mean?! You sat down to think over what was going on, when suddenly you felt something touch your neck. When you looked down you saw Luna leaning on your shoulder while she nuzzled your chest.

"Ahem"

Both you and Luna looked towards the door to see Celestia and Shining Armor standing there. Celestia simply made her way upstairs after motioning for Luna to go with her, and Shining replaced Luna on the couch.

"Hitting on Luna again?" he asked while laughing.

"No, I just sat down and she leaned against me, honest!" you quickly answered.

"Oh, don't worry about it, Celestia's just a bit angry that Luna didn't talk to her before she made a move on you"

"Why would Celestia care?"

"Because Luna's her sister, duh" Shining responded sarcastically.

"So, what's it like in the dungeon?"

"Don't worry man, if all goes well, you won't be spending anytime down there," Shining said as he put his hoof on his shoulder, "Besides, we think we found Scootaloo out by Appleloosa"

"WHAT!"

Without waiting for Shining respond you quickly used your magic to teleport yourself to Appleloosa, and you quickly gave yourself wings. You took to the air almost immediately, and you sped across the skies looking for a little orange and purple speck on the ground. Within minutes you saw her, or, what you hoped was her, zooming past the train that was on it's way to the Appleloosa station.

"SCOOTALOO!"

"Silver?!"

After hearing her voice you sped up, going so fast that the wings you had made were beginning to fall apart, and you charged her full speed, pulling her into a hug in the process. The two of you tumbled for a few minutes as you tried to use your magic to slow down, which was extremely difficult.

"What are you doing here?!" Scootaloo asked after pushing you away.

"I came here to get you!" you answered while taking a step towards her.

"Why?!" she shouted, "I'm useless! I couldn't even run away properly!"

"You're not useless, you're Scootaloo!"

"Shut up, just leave me out here to die!" she shouted, tears welling in her eyes.

THWACK!

You hit Scootaloo so hard she did a quadruple back flip before hitting the ground. "Never say that, you can't just give up and die every time a bully is a jerk to you!" you shouted back as you got closer to her.

"Why did you hit me?!" she yelled in response, not caring for what you said.

"Because you needed it"

"Why did I need to get hit in the face?!"

"Because you were so focused on every little thing Diamond Tiara said to you, you even said you should be left to die!" you shouted while holding her in place, "You're not useless! Sure you don't have a cutie mark yet, but honestly, who gives a flying fuck?! I sure don't and neither do your friends, so why should you?!" Suddenly everything you were saying got through to Scootaloo and she broke down.

"I'm sorry..."

"It's okay, just come home, we'll get this all sorted out" as you said that your horn started to glow, and suddenly you were back in your house. When the two of you opened your eyes you were greeted by Celestia, Luna, and the two other members of the Cutie Mark Crusaders.

"SCOOTALOO!" the two fillies yelled as they ran to hug the little orange Pegasus.

"Congratulations Silver, looks like you managed to find Scootaloo all by yourself" Celestia said with a smile.

"Um, Silver" Scootaloo asked.

"Yes?"

"What about my scooter?"

"Fuck, be right back"

Cheerilee will be making an appearance next chapter, so that means this story is coming to an end...

Also, fun fact, I've written every chapter at midnight, which could explain the weird writing style ;3
