Chapter 6: The Morning After

When you woke up you noticed that you had managed to sleep all the way through the party, and even the night after that. Without thinking you made your way downstairs and made yourself a coffee, being tired despite having slept for over half a day. You went up to Scootaloo's room with the intent of waking her up, but she wasn't there, so you assumed she was out with her friends and proceeded to make yourself breakfast. After you finished eating you out your plate in the sink and you decided to make your way to Sweet Apple Acres so you could spend some time with Big Mac.

You happened to see the results of the party from yesterday, ranging from random streamers lying around, to ponies like Berry Punch lying in pools of their own vomit. When you saw one of them move you wandered over and decided to help them get cleaned off. As you got closer to the pony that was waking up you managed to make out some easily distinguishing features. A multicolored mane, cyan coat, a multicolored lighting bolt...

"Morning Rainbow Dash" you said as you levitated a rain cloud above her, and then you made it clean her off. You thanked yourself for learning the cloud control spell back in Canterlot, seeing as you knew it was going to come in handy as more and more ponies began to stir in the background.

"Urgh, what time is it?" Rainbow asked as she shook herself dry.

"By my guess, it's around eleven in the morning, and I can also guess that the party got pretty crazy last night"

"You guessed it, after all the fillies got sent home Pinkie brought out her newest invention: The Cider Cannon"

"Let, me guess, it shot cider at people"

"Pretty much," Rainbow responded as she sent a rain cloud to fly over everypony that was still around, "Only thing is, this wasn't normal cider, it was quite a bit more, uh..."

"Alcoholic?" you finished for her. After she nodded in response she left to go help some of the other ponies that were still passed out, and you continued on your way to Sweet Apple Acres. As you reached the edge of town you saw an orange pony passed out on the side of the road, and you assumed it was Applejack, Big Mac's sister, so you decided to pick her up and carry her towards the farm.

"Oh, thanks for getting her for me, I was just about to go into to town to find her"

"Oh hey Mac," you said as you turned to the red stallion that had been coming down the road, "I take it you didn't go to the party last night?"

"Nope, I stayed home and worked so she could go to that party" he answered as he pulled his sister off your back, "Did you go to the party?"

"No, I stayed home after getting surprised by the two princesses yesterday"

"Why did they surprise you?"

"Well, you remember that letter I told you about?"

"Eeyup"

"Well, apparently Shining Armor told one of them, and they decided to talk to me before they went to the party"

"Sounds like that was fun," Big Mac said as he began to make his way back up the path towards the farm, "So, what are they going to do about it?"

"I have no idea, but lets talk more after we get to the farm"

"Sounds good. Applejack doesn't look it, but she's actually pretty heavy" Big Mac said with a laugh.

"... so then they said they would talk to him soon" you finished telling Big Mac about your meeting with the princesses. Just after you finished saying that you heard the sounds of fillies charging towards you. You and Mac managed to hide your serious faces behind smiles just as they turned the corner.

"Hey Silver, have you seen Scootaloo at all?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"Not today, why?" you responded, now worried about Scootaloo.

"Well, we haven't seen her either, and we thought she would have gone home after what happened at the party" Applebloom said, clearly  worried.

"What happened at the party?" you asked the two fillies while Big Mac made his way towards Applebloom.

"Well, Tiara said something to Scootaloo, and then she tried to fight her, but Scootaloo ended up losing" Sweetie Belle started.

"After that Tiara started to laugh at Scootaloo, and soon after everypony started to laugh, even Rainbow Dash laughed a little bit" Applebloom continued.

"Then we tried to help her and she told us to go away, and then she left the party" Sweetie Belle finished, with tears welling up in her eyes.

"Don't worry, I'll find her, you two go off and play or something" you said while you made your way towards Ponyville.

"Twilight!" you yelled as you knocked on the library door, "Twilight I need you outside right now!"

"Alright, Alright! I'm coming, just stop being so loud!" you heard Twilight yell from inside the library. After about a minute of waiting the door opened to reveal a very hungover Unicorn. "What do you want?" Twilight asked, sounding very irritated.

"Scootaloo's gone missing after a fight she had with Diamond Tiara at the party yesterday, I was wondering if you could get the elements to help me find her" you answered in almost a whisper.

"What?!" Twilight yelled, it seems like her hangover went away at the mention of a missing filly, "I'll go find them right away, stay here, I should be back within an hour!"

She was right about only taking an hour. After around fifty minutes you heard the six elements enter the library, made obvious by Rarity whining that her head hurts and Pinkie was noticeable quieter.

"Well, we're all here, so now we need to know," Twilight said as she motioned for everyone to sit down, "Where could Scootaloo have run off to?"

"If I knew that I would have tried it already, that's why I came to you guys!" you responded angrily, which you quickly apologized for.

"Okay, so then, Rainbow, you look from the skies for her," Twilight began.

"On it!" Rainbow said as she flew off out the window.

"Pinkie, go ask everyone in town if they've seen her,"

"Okie Dokie Lokie!" Pinkie said as she ran out the door.

"Rarity, make some advertisements to let everyone know about Scootaloo,"

"Yes dear, it'll only take me a few moments" Rarity said as she elegantly made her way out the door.

"Fluttershy, go ask the animals if they've seen anything,"

"On it!" Fluttershy said as she rushed out the door, taking care to shut it as she made her way out.

"Silver"

"What?" you asked, confused what your role in her plan would be.

"Me and you are going to talk to Celestia right now"

"You expect to find her, how?" you asked, now even more confused.

"She told me that she was going to be going to talk to Filthy Rich today, hopefully we can catch her before she goes back to Canterlot" Twilight said as she rushed towards the door.

"Oh, she is going to love hearing about this" you mumbled as you made your own way out of the library.

You followed Twilight as she galloped towards Filthy's house, and by a stroke of luck you managed to get there just as Celestia and Luna made their way onto the chariot.

"PRINCESS WAIT!" you shouted as you picked up speed, passing by Twilight at an insane speed for a Unicorn.

"Oh, hello Silver, is something the matter?" Celestia asked, unfazed by you suddenly running towards her with your horn glowing.

"Scootaloo's run away!" you managed to say between your constant gasping, "It was after she had a fight with Tiara last night!"

"Oh dear, and we just finished talking to her father too"

"We need to ask for your help Princess!" Twilight said as she caught up to you.

"We know Twilight, and we are willing to help you in your search for the young filly" Luna said reassuringly to Twilight.

"Yes, we will get the royal guard to scan around Ponyville and the surrounding area for her, but we need a description so they know what to look for" Celestia said, explaining Luna's response.

"Well, I knew her a bit, but..." Twilight said, sounding worried again.

"She's an orange Pegasus with purple hair, she can't fly, and she's very headstrong. She's probably a little scared and depressed right now, so they should find her and then tell me where she is, I'll talk to her. She'll listen to me, I'm sure of it" you said, sounding absolutely sure of everything you were saying.

"Okay, we'll make sure they all know that if they see a filly that fits that description that they should go and talk to you before anything else" Celestia said, now making her way to your house, "Oh, and can we stay in your house while we wait for this to be resolved?"

"Wha..." you said, completely dumbfounded, "I mean, of course! I would be honored to have you stay at my home!"

"Thank you, we'll try to keep our location secret so you don't get swarmed by ponies" Luna said as she began to make her own way towards your house.

"So, about how long will you be staying for?" you asked, now worried that you might make an ass out of yourself.

"We will stay here until this issue is resolved, if that is okay with you?" Celestia responded as she turned to look at you.

"Of course it's fine, I didn't mean anything by what I said" you said now embarrassed.

This is going to suck so much ass... you thought to yourself.

"What was that?" Luna asked.

"Did I say that out loud?" you asked Twilight.

"Yes you did, and they heard you as well" she answered.

"Did you hear what I said princesses?" you asked, now wondering how bad your punishment would be.

"Yes we did my little pony" Celestia responded, eying you suspiciously.

"Pardon my language, but..." you began, waiting for Celestia and Luna to nod at you...

"SON OF A BITCH!"
